There's also Sunstar and the Stardroids from MMV, but Wily was behind that too even if he got usurped as final boss.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Remember this thing?
It has a set debut at San Diego Comic Con on July 20th.
Man of Action is still doing it, so keep expectations tempered.
Despite the Dreamworks Face, I like the design of Mega Man.
We have an official premiere date: August 5th.
inb5 it gets delayed again.
Well despite all of my bile for these hip, new bastardizations on things I only passive-aggressively liked as a child, I'm willing to give the first episode a watch.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Posters got posted, and it looks like we finally have a first look at Sargent Night.
I am conflicted on what to think of it, aside from the fact he looks like Megatronus/The Fallen.
Begin the endless “He’s a creation/pawn of Dr. Wily” speculation.
I mean, after pretending to reform in 3, blackmailing Dr. Cossack in 4, framing Proto Man in 5, dressing up as Mr. X in 6, framing Dr. Light in 9, and lying about creating Roboenza in 10, can you blame anyone for assuming that Dr. Wily is behind everything? We've been pretty well conditioned to assume it (whatever it is) is his fault at this point.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. That robot attack from a week ago? Wily's fault.
The alien invasion that just happened? Wily's fault.
A Djinn is unleashed upon a city and wreaks havoc upon it? Wily's fault.
That toast that isn't lightly toasted and is instead almost burnt? Wily's fault.
Honestly, Wily is behind every evil plans that occurred in Capcom games.
Mad Gear kidnapping Jessica? Wily plotted it.
Shadoloo collecting data on fighters? Wily’s fault.
Jedah awakening the Fetus of God? Wily told him to do it.
Grandmaster Maoi rise to power? Wily helped.
The foundation of Umbrella and creation of the T-Virus? Wily did it.
Virgil becoming a dick? Wily mentor him.
The whole war that happened in the game Armoured Warriors? Wily instigated it.
Thanos collecting the Infinity Gems to kill off half the universe? Wily suggested it . . . what Marvel Super Heroes is a Capcom game.
Lucifer’s attempt at cucking Arthur by kidnapping Guinevere? Wily planned it.
God Hand not getting a sequel? Wily did that.
The creation of Mavericks? Wily built the original . . . oh wait that’s actually canon and not me stretching for correlations.
The whole Onslaught crossover event? Wily’s dickery convince Professor X that humanity isn’t worth saving.
Keiji Inafune creating Comcept and tricking fans? He was Wily in disguise.
@Etheru: I know we're just joking around at this point, but it's worth noting that Wily did, in fact, try to take advantage of alien invaders in 8. The only difference is that he didn't try to lie about it.
@BigK: Now some of that is absurd. Wily was the scientist in charge of data gathering for Shadoloo, Wily built the armored shell for Onslaught, and I really think Wily could have done way better than Mighty No. 9.
Also, uh... kidnapping isn't exactly "cuckolding," and it's more than a little disturbing to suggest otherwise.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster.Oh no, I knew about 8 already. I think I was more referencing the Stardroids than that game, though.
I'm expecting, if Wily is introduced, to basically appear to be a mild mannered old friend of Light's, but then it turns out he created Sargent Night.
Sargent Night then is later incapacitated, and Wily becomes the villain of the rest of the series.
At least, I hope that's what happens. I'm not exactly confident in Man of Actions track record.
I wish the show actually looked like those posters. I'm not exactly confident in TV-budget CG.
The Comic-Con trailer surfaced, showing off Sargent Night, Mega-Mini's redesign from the concept footage, "Aki Light", and Mega Man's copy ability.

That... doesn't look awful. They even worked the original theme music in there. I could have gone without the protagonist having a secret identity and being in grade school, but still, I'm pleasantly surprised.
Why didn't they lead with this?
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I've yet to see anything, but we should probably change the title of this thread now that we know the official title of this show is Mega Man: Fully Charged.
Title updated.
X3 - By their own admission the concepts were changed from the intro to this trailer.
And yeah, I’ll be very surprised if Wily doesn’t show up eventually. They clearly seem aware of the criticism if things are being redesigned, and having a Mega Man series (a classic continuity one anyway) without Dr. Wily feels like doing a He-Man series without Skeletor or an X-Men cartoon without Magneto.

Here's a small preview of the first episode.
Not for my country, there isn't...
Huh, is the 8-bit sprite work gonna be a regular thing? I know some people got upset at Mega Man 10 for rendering the whole game in 8 bit (since 9 had already done so and many felt the idea had run its course), but coupled with the regular animation, that is...kinda clever.

Looks decent enough. Aside from the voice acting of the villain (Mega Man and Mini are fine.) I've got no problem with it.
IIRC Ra Moon was a supercomputer from the very poorly received FMV fest Super Adventure Rockman, while Xander Payne was retconned into being Mr. X from Mega Man 6 of all people, who ends up being another pawn of Wily (instead of a hilariously obvious disguise). So all roads should lead to Dr. Wily.
