I'm wondering, what are people's takes on the amount of time characters need to know each other to become True Companions? Obviously it's going to differ from situation to situation, but I sometimes see works where there's a True Companions-version of Strangled by the Red String where characters suddenly consider themselves True Companions in a fairly quick amount of time.

Obviously things like Fire-Forged Friends play a role, but I'm thinking more Roommate Com scenarios, where characters meet in the premiere and by the first season finale they have an unbreakable bond.

I'm not sure that there's a defined length of time to establish a True Companions scenario; it may seem unrealistic, but the dynamic can usually be clearly identified at some point in the work.
