Test

Veronica looked up at the brick wall infront of her, then at the others around her. She noticed that there were enemies on the other side that those that tried to break though were given a bit of shock treatment.

She took a moment to decide on what to do.

Eventually she spread her wings used them to hop right over the wall, throwing Longinus at one of the enemies, impailing them, and landing on the other. Her claws dug into vital areas.

When the third enemy opened fire she used to the one in her claws like a shield as she grabbed Longinus. She twirled out of cover, quickly closing the distance putting Loginus through the final enemy's chest.

"Done, and done." she said to herself rather proudly.

Golden Calf - Testing

Ada was thankful that she decided to not wear heels today. That fact would come in handy.

So there were three enemies right behind the wall. Trying to go through around the wall would deliver a nasty shock. She might have as well just move through the wall through mundane means which would no doubt get her shot.

Gotta be a bit smart about this.

Casually, she attached a charge of explosives to the wall before primming another explosive in hand, this time a smoke grenade. Once the wall blew up and the debris went flying, alarming the opposition the one thing they would see would be a thick cloud of smoke. She had no doubt that this is merely a temporary distraction... but it was more than enough.

She was by the ranged opponent in a flash. Despite her tall frame she seamessly moved around the blind fire and grabbed drone hands together with hers, holding them on the small of its back as her other hand manned the gun wringed out from her adversary. Without further delay she gunned the other two, quick efficient shots aimed at vital areas. Satisfied she threw the gun away and got a hold of her hostage's neck, squeezing it hard enough to actually crush the windpipe with a sickening squelch, the limp drone body now definitely dead.

"Ugh. They don't bleed." She muttered with a grimace, chucking the body away.

"Alisa" laughed at Prospa, hands now on her hips.

Walking over to the other woman, "Alisa" gave her a false-sympathetic pat on the back.

"Awww, I am ever so sorry. I'll try not to completely and utterly overshadow you next time."

She laughed again, then looked at Ada.

"Hey, why would you want them to bleed? So...messy."

Prospa sniffed at the commentary and brushed some invisible spec of dirt off of Caliban. Then she tapped "Alisa" on the shoulder, resulting in a fairly painful static shock from the microfibers of lightning dust on her gloves from brushing the wand.

When the disguised queen looked she would see the witch with a false innocent expression. "I'm sorry, I'm just some new comer to dust." She commented, sarcasm dripping from her tone.

"Realism. The feeling of blood running down your fingers." She shrugged, going back to her place. "I suppose I'm just weird." She added with a chuckle.

She would rather not expose her Semblance too fast.

Lucretia grit her teeth in pain, but didn't let herself flinch. Truth be told...the Queen was enjoying this banter. It had been far too long since someone talked and teased and prodded her as an equal.

....She rather missed it. Furthermore, Prospa was a person she could see as a friend...or at least someone to respect. If grudgingly.

"Alisa" simply tilted her head towards Prospa.

"I forgive you, I remember when I kept making rookie mistakes like that. I can give you lessons if you wish." she said, voice just as innocent.

She turned to Ada and shook her head. "Realism? ....Well, I think you'll get your wish soon enough."

A sigh.

"...Hopefully not so soon, but it can't be helped." she added, melancholic.

"My point is, all of us will be spilling blood sooner or later. Some of us are fresh outta Beacon. Some had a chance to get knowledgable with the feeling."

"Although these are just mere drones..." She looked at her hand before closing it in a fist. "they are still enemies to dispose of. If someone freaks out on their first blood, they're gonna get capped. I've seen that happen all too often." She chuckled mirthlessly, shaking her head.

Prospa response was cut off by the sheer creepiness of Ada's commentary. She's not wrong but... "There is a difference being able to handle killing and enjoying it." Prospa pointed out, her head tilting slightly. "Frankly I've met some of the people who enjoy it before, they can't handle the killing as much as a rookie. They simply express it in a different manner." Her tone left no doubt exactly what she thought of this type of person.

"They are however quicker to adapt." The red-head shook her head. "They find enjoyment either in harming or the very act of taking one's life, so the consequences of killing are lost on them. Then there are those who just like to see the blood spill." She didn't add that she was in the latter category. Well, her Semblance just worked like that.

Lucretia couldn't help but let the Queen slip through "Alisa"'s mask. When she spoke, it was in a much more solemn and serious tone than the masked woman's usual playful banter.

"I acknowledge that spilling blood may sometimes be necessary in order to complete the mission. Sometimes we need to take a life in exchange for many others..."

"However, it is never right to enjoy bloodshed for its own sake. Killing is the very last resort, and it is always preferable to incapacitate. We are humans, after all. What use is our Aura if we are no better than Grimm? It is this difference that keeps us from the darkness."

Test - The Iron Lady

Lilac was up next. Standing behind the brick wall, she took off her gloves and wedding ring, and put them into one of her pockets. Reaching into another pocket, she took out a small piece of iron, and clenched her hand into a fist around it. Her blue eyes glowed as her semblance activated, her skin quickly turning into iron in a matter of seconds. Lilac then finally pulled out Wild Fang, and was ready to rumble.

"Let's dance.", she said.

Quickly punching the brick wall with a shotgun-boosted iron fist, she knocked up a few pieces of it into the air, and fired shotgun shells at the pieces to send them flying straight at the two ranged targets. The two ranged targets were quickly knocked down, while the melee target was all that remained. She then took care of that one with a few quick slashes of her tonfas' blades, reducing it to sliced pieces in no time at all.

Lilac had passed the first test.

Okay, brick wall. Nothing I can't get around. Throwing her blades at the top of the wall, Maria found herself shocked back to the ground when she hit the barrier preventing the others from circumventing the wall.

Fine, so I can't get around it, she thought as she shook her head to refocus. Guess I gotta go through it. Backing up a bit, Maria activated her Semblance and rushed forward, giving the wall a speed-boosted kick and blasting a hole through the wall. Diving through the hole, Maria threw her chained blades at the chest of the closer of the two melee enemies and flipped over it, throwing it at the ranged enemy. With the other melee enemy isolated, she made quick work of it with her blades before moving to the downed ranged enemy, stabbing her blades through its vital points.

"Got it," she said triumphantly as she stood up and sheathed her blades, hands on her hips as she waited for the others to finish their test.

Testing

Jenazad sauntered up to the wall, looking over it for a long few minutes with drug-blurred eyes. When he actually started to pay attention to the test, he finished it quickly. With a single palm strike, he knocked one of the bricks loose and sent it flying into the ranged opponent. Then he quickly drew Ecstasy and hip-fired off two shots into the gap, making the bullets ricochet against the bricks on either side of the hole to strike the two melee enemies.

Spinning the extra-long revolver in his hand, he only let out a wet sound of amusement before he holstered it. The creepy, conniving gunslinger was keen on seeing what the other tests would be.

Test

That’s it? Feros thought to himself, prepping Godbreaker's mortar mode with a smirk on his face. Piece of cake.

One shot from the mortar and the wall crumbled, revealing the three men, one of whom was pinned down by debris. Not a concern. But the other two... Soon enough, his eyes flashed, and an Aura-based copy was moving next to him as he charged at the remaining melee fighter and cut him apart.

“Split.”

With that single spoken command, the copy charged at the ranged fighter, distracting it long enough for Feros to blow it with another shot from Godbreaker. “Success—”

He was interrupted by the melee fighter he brushed off as “not a concern” getting the debris off of it and attacking him from behind, triggering a game over.

“Oh, come on!

Richter chuckled into the intercom. "Good job everyone. I expected the first test to be the easiest, it usually is. You have your teammate to thank for that..You'll get your results after all of the tests are complete."

She turned to Kasumi. "Do try to...spice it up a bit, dear. You can change the entire landscape and create worlds! Remember, this is your test as well. Talia?"

"Worlds you say?" The fox quirried before looking down at the situation below her, "Oh, I have the perfect idea for this one" she said before rapidly getting to work.

Within a few minutes, every one would find themself on a chunk of land, a singular chunk of land, floating around in an endless void of sky, fake trees all around them, jungle flora and fauna and just as humid. The sound of water running could be heard around them, and if they were to look they would notice that ALL the terrain around them is fragmented like this just floating in the sky, the rivers running over the edges.

Some of the chunks were multiple person lengths apart, and there was absolutely no way a normal person could jump between them, hell even for a hunter a straight line jump between these would be hard, let alone the ones slick with water, squinting off in the distance, a dozen of these sport field sized platforms away they could all see a flag.

Kasumi leaned forward and taped the mic "The flag is your goal, the judgement condition is time, falling results in disqualification.... and ummm" there is a pause as she presses a few more buttons. "Watch out for Grimm"

Do they all get there own arena this time, or should they share this one?

Well, this test seems to be a bit more creative. Not to mention challenging. Lucretia thought to herself, surveying the surrounding. She had to admit, she was very impressed by what technology could accomplish these days.

She glanced at Ada. The woman worried her. A lot. She needed to keep a close eye on that one.

But for now...she needed to get through this test. The Queen stepped forward....and stepped on a small pebble.

"Alisa" yelped in surprised pain, then cursed and looked up at the sky with an annoyed huff. "Did you really have to make it so realistic? In case you haven't noticed, I'm bloody barefoot."

Grumbling as she massaged her bruised foot, Lucretia looked for a way to advance.

She looked at her sword and the Earth Dust Crystal still in the barrel. It would still last her quite a bit.

She smiled. An idea.

"Alisa" raised her sword and tapped the ground at her feet...and at once she started creating a bridge of rock between this floating chunk and the next. She even added handrails, because she wasn't fool enough to run through that thing without safety.

And so "Alisa" ran, creating bridges between each chunk, occasionaly wincing when she stepped on a pebble.

She promised herself that she will never take off her shoes ever again.

"Alisa" was near the finish line when something large and black hit her from the side and pushed her off her makeshift bridge.

"Gwah?!"

It was a Nevermore. But luckily, the masked woman managed to grab hold of the thing's tail and hang on for dear life.

"Bloody-!"

"Alisa" grumbled and looked down. She was so close!

....Fuck. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

She jumped.

"Aaaaaah!"

Screaming all the way, "Alisa" switched her Earth Dust with Ice, made a makeshift slide...and rolled all the way onto the goal, hitting the flag facefirst.

Good thing the mask was tough.

"Bloody hell!"

Agility Test

"Now this kind of thing is a bit more challenging. I love a good challenge." Lupa said with a smile as she looked across the way towards the flag.

Making a running leap she dived towards a second platform, firing her gunblades for the extra recoil to get her safely to it before immediately jumping for the next, a rather more slippery one this one. But she made up for it by burying her blades in the stone, racking both as she landed to prime the guns to shoot again.

Finally she noticed a clear path of stones straight to the flag. Making her way with a running leap she skipped from stone to stone before reaching another large platform, stopping at the large chasm before her.

Though only for a few seconds as a small beast flew through the air at her, a small flying Grimm that she managed to bait like a bull, before using as a stepping stone. She flew threw the air, firing one gunblade to propel herself forward, and just as she was almost there, but it seemed like she wasn't going to make it... She fired the other one straight down and propelled herself upwards before doing a few flips through the air and landing next to the flag. The shot at the edge, now obviously revealed to have been Lupa showing off.

Prospa clicked her tongue at the new obstacle. "Really? Like one of those new video games that are gaining popularity? I hardly see how this tests our agility anymore than the last tested strength. But fine, I'll play."

The witch quickly climbed a tree on her current platform and used a sturdy branch for a jump off point. As she leaped forward the witch drew both Ariel and Antonio from their holsters and used the two wands stream mode as a booster for her jump to the next platform, the wind backed flames providing both a boost and an updraft that easily lifted her over.

Prospa landed in a perfect three-point stance in the water. and looked up to find several small Nevermore heading towards her. "Unfriendly skies, dears." She commented, unleashing a wind stream that interfered with their flying. Both wands were returned to the holsters as Prospa used a nearby vine to swing and leap to another platform.

The final gap was crossed with a simple ice bridge, the mage even throwing in a strut for good measure.

"Oh. Huh. Guess it's time for maximum risk, then." Alex grunted and detached his entire Aura from his body; he would be left completely vulnerable, but he now had a one to one body double to help him out with... this craziness. He snapped the chain off of cactus, and stowed the body back in his backpack. He gave it a few experimental swings, then set about getting up to that first island. He prepped his whip, wound it up, and cast it out as a grappling hook. Too short. Instead, he supported his Aura as it leaned out over the abyss, and with that added reach managed to hit something. The teeth of the chain rooted itself into the side of a tree, allowing him to just climb up it like a normal-ass mountain climber... right into a nest of grinning Grimm. Oh.

This was not the time to get caught out; Alex made a startled yelp and backed right the hell back off that ledge. Still coordinating his Aura, Alex wrapped an arm around his waist and swung himself back up to another island. They were, at least, level with the flag now. Between him and the flag were... three more of those islands, and behind him... the Pterodactyl Grimm, coming up after him.

He just kept running; the first two islands were manageable by just himself, actually; the last gap between himself and the flag was the problem: one of those ones more than three times his height. He'd have to get reckless, especially with the swarm of Grimm still closing in. His Aura mounted his shoulders, whip in hand, and leapt for the final island. With the added reach of a death-defying leap, the Aura managed to get a grip. Alex leapt after his Aura, grabbed its ankles, and slammed face-first into the side of the mountain. Shaking the stun off with a combination of adrenaline and panic, he then clambered up himself and his chainwhip, Grimm closely following him still. As soon as he passed his Aura, he absorbed it onto himself again, protecting his hands as he powered his way up the chain. He grabbed the flag, still whining in panic, then whipped around and screamed some more, emptying both of his pistols into the Grimm chasing him. "Fuck agility tests, holy crap!"

Dahlia remembered one instance when she saw her uncle ride a Grimm just like these across a large chasm, but the she remembered that he was bucked off and ended up hurt. The issue was that Grimm would try thier best to buck them off.

Dahlia nonetheless had a way to improve that reckless plan. She waited for a Grimm to draw near then leaped on its back and stabbed the creature deep as she could without impairing it's flight. She then magnetized her hands strongly allowing her to use the force of the attraction to hang on and hop off at the flag point.

Agile Woman

Lilac's semblance had worn off by now, and her skin was once again normal human flesh. Good thing too, because the weight added due to the density of any of her metals would have made passing this agility test impossible. Lilac looked at the three floating islands before her, the distance between each one greater than the last. Lilac loaded in one more shell each to each of her tonfas to replace the two spent in the last test to get a full set of 10 in each tonfa.

"Alright, here I go.", she said as she began running toward the gap between the first and second islands. Aiming the barrels of the shotgun parts of Wild Fang downwards, she did a running leap off the cliff of the first island. She started firing off a few shells downwards to utilize their recoil to keep herself in the air. She landed on the second island, having spent 4 more shells in the process.

A Nevermore then began to try and swoop behind Lilac as she stopped to catch her breath, and would have picked her up had she not ducked in time. It flew right over her, and was beginning to turn around to try again.

"I gotta move.", she said to herself.

Quickly loading in two more shells into each tonfa as she ran, she leapt off the edge of the second island facing the third, with the Nevermore right behind her. Lilac then turned her head around to see the virtual Grimm coming straight at her as she recoil boosted her way across the gap. It then got quite close to her, only to get a shotgun blast to the face as Lilac aimed her shotguns right behind her to rocket herself forward and clear the last bit of the gap.

She landed on the third island with a thud, only a few feet away from the flag that marked the goal. She picked herself up, dusted herself off, walked over to the flag, and touched it to complete the second test. She'd passed, with only a few seconds to spare.

Test #2

Veronica was beginning to wonder if they were purposely making it easy for her. Well she wasn't complaining at all. Instead she took to the air flying in a direct line for the flag.

This however made her a prime target for the Grimm. Spefically an angry looking Nevermore, which attempted to dive on her and snap her in two with its powerful beak. Veronica twisted in the air to avoid it, and dovee to pick up speed. No way was she gonna let some entry level Grim take her out.

The Nevermore flapped to stay behind her and dove as well trying to catch up. "This way~" Veronica sung out to taunt it.

They weaved through trees and around some of the smaller Islands, all the while the Nevermore inching closer to its prey.

Then at very last second Veronica folded her wings back and, flippped back in the air getting behind the bird beast. She brandished her lance dangerously, as she slotted some lightning Dust into Longinus, and came down hard to the Nevermore, landing near the target and claiming if for herself.

Agility Test

Jenazad, for lack of a better word, was still spacing out. He only barely understood the test, which was pretty bad given that he could be seen by others as he fumbled his way through it. He just shot a few Grimm and dragged their corpses with his lasso so he could use them to bridge each rock. Of course, not paying attention to the time would cost him. By the time he reached the flag, he would've overshot the mark by a few minutes.

That was one really long lasting high.
