I think the Nightmare Fuel subpage for Mortal Kombat X might be in need of some cleanup. Right now, it contains a list of every single X-Ray attack and Fatality in the game, as well as half the Brutalities.

Sure, these moves ARE pretty gruesome, but if you get actual nightmares from every single decapitation and dismemberment scene, chances are you shouldn't be playing MK in the first place. Listing off all of the fatalities just makes the truly sick and brutal ones stand out less on the page.

My suggestion would be to remove some of the "tamer" X-Rays and finishers, although it might be hard to decide on which moves are too tame to qualify for Nightmare Fuel.

Clean-up thread. Should be a quick run.

What could be the criteria though? The whole game is designed to be as nightmarishly gruesome as possible.

Maybe mention that in the beginning, and limit the example list to fatalities?

Though I'm no MK player, I agree that there should be criteria. Fatalities are definite keepers, as I am sure they're gruesome enough. As for the rest... not sure.

I think it'd be easier to list parts of MKX that are not Nightmare Fuel evil grin

I'd rather do the same thing to every single NF page.

The problem with this proposal is that Nightmare Fuel as it's currently used is effectively an extra Audience Reactions page to list scary moments, and thus the same rules applies as to any other YMMV item, except NF has even vaguer criteria as to what's valid and what's not. "I don't think that's scary/I don't share that opinion" is not a valid reason to cut down on YMMV stuff because there's no way to make a call what does and what doesn't count without simply asserting one opinion over another.

Just kill any natter, should be a simple fix.

Alright, I cut all natter. Beyond that I don't think there's anything actionable here.

Clocking in case someone disagrees, but I don't see anything else actionable either.

Aye, closing this.

Incidentally, there are rules about what is allowed on Nightmare Fuel pages - they are listed on its discussion page.
