I was wondering when Harry Potter would show up, but I'm pretty surprised to see The Goonies enter the fray, as well as the Cartoon Network shows (here's hoping for Gumball and Ed, Edd, n Eddy at some point!), and especially Sonic the Hedgehog. This game is pretty much becoming WB Infinity at this point, and I have to admit, I'm really starting to want to get this game now...

"Pardon me, that extremely loud and extremely deep voice you may have just heard. It was me. Oh, it is such a long story..."I'm sorry, my childhood just went into sugar shock that they combined Lego with Gremlins, The A-Team, and The Goonies. I mean, my brain can barely register that they're also including Adventure Time, and I love that series too.
Reminder: Offscreen Villainy does not count towards Complete Monster. The game is charmingly addictive.
I first played a little of it on a borrowed copy from a relative (PS 3 version)... and recently, my man found the Wii U version on markdown and got the set... The aforementioned relative gifted us with loads of characters for Christmas and my man has been picking up a few more by increment ever since.
It's one of the few videogames in the house that my partner plays as much as I do. He's actually ahead of me in the main story!
It's kind of obnoxious just how much capitalizing is going into selling all the little figures, but they're inexpensive enough to get by increment and you can use the hero-hire system if you only want to get a few or just use the mains / starters.
The levels are all very well done - lots of references for geeks. I'm not big into Doctor Who, but know enough of it from watching some of it with my Whovian hubby to get things and I found that a particularly well-done level - the Weeping Angel part of being especially creepy. The only levels that I have some problems with are the Simpsons levels. They apparently couldn't get the rights to the Simpsons theme music and it feels weird playing them with this "generic cartoon music" and in the main story level, Homer seems dumber than he is canon - something I didn't think possible. I did play Homer's pack-level tonight since we just go the pack and highly appreciated the recreation of The Mysterious Journey of Homer (episode), however.

Never underestimate the importance of an open mind and compassionate heart.
Now that all the announced characters have been released, it's time to announce some more:
