Torment by Annoyance doesn't have a pic (yet). How's this?

The suggestion is better than nothing. I'm not sure how else this trope could be illustrated.

I had an idea at one time of a screencap of Wesley's boss in Wanted snapping the stapler in his ear with a line of dialogue as the caption, but I never could get one that I was satisfied with. I think I may have cleared the one I did get out of my recycle bin, too.

EDIT: Ooh, I didn't...okay, here's what I had in mind originally:

"I can't wait to start checking me off some big *SNAPSNAPSNAP* fucking boxes! Attitude: *SNAP* Poor. Performance: *SNAP* Poor. Management skills: *SNAP* Poor. Works well with others? Hah!"

The first sentence and/or the last comment could be lost, possibly. Another option might be "Staplers weren't meant to be used as punctuation."

I like 7 a lot more than 1. Maybe caption shortened:

I had no idea what was going on in 7 until I read the text, while I could have guessed what was going on in 1 without the text, therefore I believe 1 is better.

I think 7 is overly caption-reliant. 1 or 9 is good.

9 might work on its own, using the dialogue from the scene in my first idea as the caption, but I kinda like seeing Lilo and Stitch's reactions in the scene...not sure which I prefer right now.

I like 7; you can clearly see that James is annoyed by the woman.

I prefer 1, since I'd have absolutely no idea what the woman was doing without the caption (and I'm still not certain I do even with it).

Here's the scene. (very NSFW language)

Oh, that's a stapler, I thought maybe she was taking pictures with her phone, or using one of those clicky things you use on dogs. Er...that comes across as more straight torment than Torment by Annoyance to me.

It still fits the trope; actively using an annoyance to abuse or even torture someone is the extreme end of its application.

I did find this example from Sponge Bob, if it looks good.

Yeah, wasn't sure how good it was. It's supposed to be his annoying laugh and overall presence being a bother. Also, no idea how cropping works on this site.

I think the OP is better. It shows the actual tormenting.
