Post is up
Four thousand posts! Four thousand posts!
GM of AGOG S4: Frontiers RP; Sub-GM of TABA, SOTR, & UUA RPsI once asked Sullen if Imperial armor holds up compared to a few inches of 40K Space Marine armor, seeing as orks can go through that easily enough.
His response was not encouraging for the Imperials.
So how much tougher is dark trooper armor compared to that of normal troopers?
Well these are Phase 1 dark troopers, so not that much more resilient then normal troops. It's the Phase 2 ones that'll give you trouble.
However, remember all of your guns armor piercing capabilities were nerfed due to the stupid high tech level of 40K not matching well with......well, any other chunk. So while I anticipate repeated fire chewing through the armor of both Imps and Phase 1 Dark Troopers with enough fire, it won't be doing as much damage as they would in canon.
No, I meant in close combat, against choppas and such. Armor-piercing ability tends to fluctuate wildly even in-verse, and these being orks, actual penetration matters less than the explosion (and only matters if there's enough of them shooting anyway).
If you're going by tabletop stats, the average close combat weapon used by the Orks doesn't have an armour piercing stat, so even the weakest armour has a chance to deflect it. It's just a sharp piece of metal, delivered with Orky strength.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Sooo...we doing anything to celebrate 4,000 posts of this?
Hmm. We could do something if you guys want, although I'm not particularly sure what we would do.
Replace all weapons with strawberry shortcake. A random number between 1 and 3 of posts later, cakes revert to weapons.
Pay homage to the glories of Xin Sheng, which has provided the steadfast foundation of our ascension to our rightful - and glorious - position as the foremost state among the nations of the Inner Sphere Battleworld.
Not without cake! >:(
Badger and Norm, I wanted to get Bond and Homura one last back-and-forth in communications before I have her hang up and tell everyone to roll out, if you don't mind.

gotcha
"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiActually, do you mind if Bond hangs up in my post? He has a sniper he needs to deal with.
They do have medals for almost, and they're called silver! That's fine too.
Post coming soon
Norm I think I'll be taking Havoc off of your hands and moving her to the Death Star so that we can conculde the Toto Bunny front.
Perfectly alright, Meanken.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? Is there a word for that the phenomenon where posting an update is so easy that you put it off, and put it off, and keep putting it off to the point that you're dreading getting around to it almost as much as an actual towering workload? Because this is a constant experience in my internetting habits.
A term-paper all-nighter.
Neet, would you want Grant and Alucard to show up at one of the fights? If so, any preferences?

Wizard Needs Food BadlyThat works.
Mentioned this in the Skype chat, but I'm on vacation right now and won't be able to post till Thursday. Sorry for the delay!
I don't know if this has come up before, but I really like giant robots.
Event NPC posts will be coming next, but I'll get everyone soon enough.
If I had that kind of power, I'd have dropped a meteor on your house ages ago~
