@Strat: Well, how we did it in another RP was that the Origin Bullet didn't work exactly that way on magic-users without Magic Circuits, which are sort of nerves but for magic. Instead it just disrupted and tangled their magic on contact, rendering it an anti-magic round. Still caused necrosis by messing up all the nerves and blood vessels around the wound, but just because Nasuverse healing can't fix it doesn't necessarily mean that other universes' healers can't. Basically, it becomes much more finicky to heal than a bullet wound, requiring long-term treatment from a skilled healer, but it doesn't have to be permanently incapacitating.

As for Avalon, the healing ability appears to be directly linked to Saber's presence. When Kiritsugu had Avalon in him with Saber on the floor above, he regenerated even an exploded heart in a matter of seconds. Irisviel, with Saber much further away, took quite a while longer to heal from an impaled torso. Then you have Shirou, who took about one night to heal despite having the same sheath in him. It's proportional, really, and I can nerf it if you want because at its peak it really does grant functional immortality. Apart from the brain. Also, Irisviel is pretty much terrible at combat so she isn't going to be doing much fighting-wise anyway.

With Saber and Avalon, if she ever does use it the phase-shift thing will happen in a split-second, precisely long enough for her to evade and deliver one attack. No more, no less. Her dragon's blood means that anti-dragon weapons are super-effective against her, not that they're the only things which can harm her. So if you have an anti-dragon weapon... good on you?

Also, I've added Saber's 'walk on water' ability, which I'd forgotten. And I may increase the size of the chunk to an entire city, minus every other Master/Servant pair in the area.

  • Main Character
    • Name:Duke Leofric Whitechapel
    • Age:???
    • Appearance:He's a tall blue and gold suit of armor, regal in decor, his head is a spartan-like helmet with three prongs coming up from the faceplate, one on the center and one on each side. The lower part of his body is covered by blue cloths flowing from an ornate golden belt. His ghostly white glowing phantasm of a soul can be seen trough the gaps in his armor and the eye-holes of his helmet.
    • Personality:A stoic, regal, proud and ambitious man, no longer restrained by the shames of his past. He is of little words, preferring action to cheap parlance. He doesn't even seek a place in the thrones of his house or his country, he seeks to be the best knight on the Amber Fields.
    • Powers: Besides being an incredibly capable hand to hand fighter with great feats to his name, he has the ability that all Broken Lords share, to extract life-force from Dust and other living beings, sustaining and healing himself.
    • Equipment: He wields a spear which headpiece is made from a extremely sharp and durable green crystal called Mithrite.
    • Back-story:His younger years characterized by quite extraordinary entitlements and indulgences, Leofric grew up a brat of almighty proportions. At the annual House Ulsgate tournament, when he should have been riding in the contest for the honor of his House, Leofric would often feign injury, gain the sympathy of some impressionable and comely maiden, and then take great delight in showing her his lance. Leofric's world came crashing down in his eighteenth year when, near the conclusion of that year's tournament, his father caught him gallivanting with the daughter of a sworn family enemy. White-hot with rage, Leofric's father frog-marched the boy out onto the field, then made him saddle up and joust with Sir Doran of House Umber, one of the four remaining riders. Sir Doran took the challenge as a great insult, and proceeded to humiliate Leofric over seventeen tortuous rounds. A laughing stock, blazing with a shame that dimmed but never went out, Duke Leofric went on from that day forth to become one of the greatest knights to grace the Amber Fields, and now seeks even bigger challenges.

Right oh, here we go.

*Main character: The Spy.

  • Appearance:If you were anything like me, you wouldn't be so dead
  • Personality: Polished, cool and with an air of high society, the spy is an unscrupulous manipulator of circumstances. He is like James Bond, but french with a taste for cognac. He hardly betrays any emotion apart from contempt which will ooze off him if you don't take him seriously.Surprise is saved for the most extreme and unique circumstances: like when you kill him. Thus, he is never really surprised because obviously it's not going to happen.
  • Powers:The spy has no real super powers. He instead relies on his silver tongue, intelligence and superb acting skills to make it through the battlefield with his soul still in his body.
  • Equipment:Here is where the spy shines through.
  • First there is his trusty butterfly knife. It is the surgical instrument which he uses to remove life from his victims. One well place back stab can bring down the best without the need for another strike.
  • Disguise kit: This allows the spy to change his entire physical appearance to that of anyone he has seen. This is limited to humans and human-like creatures. Inanimate objects are out of bounds- such as, the spy cannot disguise as your bed.
  • Invisiwatch- the cloak and dagger: a watch the renders the spy invisible to the naked eye. However, the watch can only power his invisibility for so long and after a few minutes, he must de-cloak to allow the watch to recharge.
  • The revolver: What's a spy without a gun? Unfortunately many people forget that the spy always has a loaded revolver in his back pocket. That is a mistake which many pay with their lives. The spy's aim is second only to the sniper's.
    • Backstory: A french spy who, after the Australians won the world war, decided to become a mercenary and sell his talents abroad. After all, if you are good at something, why do it for free? He joined the Team Fortress of Mann.co to become the next in a long legacy of spy mercs. The fact that he is still here now is testament to his skill. In fact, you probably didn't notice the pair of shoes behind your curtains. He's probably behind you. Right now.

Supporting cast:
  • The Medic
    • Appearance:Now, lets practice medicine
    • Personality: A rough balance between blunt sincerity and a morbid sense of humor. The medic is the helping hand on the battle field where he takes great joy watching his medicinal advances decimate the enemy team. Off the battle field, the Medic works with his pal the Engineer on research most would find pointless: like how many bullets can a heart take before expiring. He takes great pride in his research and will spend most if not all his time in the lab. A definite workaholic. Still, a cup of tea and a good German dinner is enjoyed now an again.
    • Powers: Apart from his encyclopedic knowledge of all that is medicinal, he has no other 'powers' to speak of.
    • Equipment: The medic never goes out to battle without his Medi Gun. Ordinarily on the recommended settings, the medi gun is a miracle of science: being able to fix any injury and bring people back from the point of death. However, when need calls, the Medic can flip the switch on his gun to temporarily transform his patient into somrthing invincible: unable to be hurt or damaged in anyway. Comes with shiny red skin and glowing yellow eyes.
  • The Medic can also pull out his surgical saw- the Uber Saw- should he suddenly feel the need to saw through someone's bones during battle.
    • Backstory: A german doctor who in the name of science performed experiments that were rather illegal. His medical license was promptly taken from him. He joined Mann.co so that he could further his studies on the human body without hinder. After all, who cared if you killed a few mercs?

  • The Heavy
    • Appearance:Go cry some more
    • Personality: Blunt and straight forward. The Heavy is a stoic. He also happens to one of the more pragmatic and sane people in his team. Of course, it doesn't mean he won't sometimes share a laugh with the rest of his killer pals.
    • Powers: Super strength. It comes from wielding a 120kg mini gun for a living.
    • Equipment:
  • No heavy is a heavy without his heavy weapon. The Heavy always has his beloved mini gun. When not firing it at people he will tend to it, oil it, polish it and mend it's battle hardened chassis.
  • Sandvich: No battle is complete without a good lunch. This tasty morsel will heal the heavy and replenish his stamina like a morning coffee. Come not between a heavy and his Sandvich.
    • Backstory:

  • The Soldier
    • Appearance:If God had wanted you to live he would not have created Me
    • Personality:A simple man with simple pleasures: War, killing, strangling hippies, feeding his pet raccoons and rehabilitating orphans. He laughs, sometimes; usually over your dead body, other times with other people, over your dead body.
    • Powers: -
    • Equipment: The soldier is nothing without his Rocket launcher, his shotgun, his explosion proof boots and his gardening shovel. Of course, the shovel is for the cultivating of minds and skulls rather than an actual garden.
    • Backstory:-

  • The Demo man
    • Appearance:KLA-BLOOOEY
    • Personality:
    • Powers:
    • Equipment:
    • Backstory:

  • The Pyro
    • Appearance:Mmmmph
    • Personality:

  • Main Character
    • Name: Travis Touchdown
    • Age: 27
    • Appearance: "Fuck Head!"
    • Personality: Travis can perhaps be best described as a punk with no tact. He is crude, offensive, and immature. On top of that he is blood thirsty and loves to fight. He is not without some twisted honor, probably learned from anime and wrestling faces, believing in fighting fairly, finishing what he starts, and having trouble killing women. Even if he was not a sociopathic killer most would still find him despicable being a pathetic, perverted otaku into moe anime and wrestling.
    • Powers: He is skilled using his beam katana and driving Schpeltiger. He is stronger then he looks, being able to perform his wrestling moves easily without a hitch, and his reflexes are something superhuman, being able to block bullets with his beam katana. He has that Made of Iron trait common to heroes in his posistion, having survived several explosions, but is by no means invincible.
    • Equipment: Tsubaki, his beam katana. Schpeltiger, his custom super large scooter.
    • Backstory: Travis is an otaku turned sociopathic assassin. When he was younger, his parents were killed in front of him by Jeane, a woman he apparently loved. Jeane disappeared after ruining his life and he has not seen her since. He has spent the time since being an otaku and living at the No More Heroes motel. Despite his life style, Travis is a skilled fighter, having trained under a local drunk and ex-professional wrestler/yakuza running a gym. He also has trained by himself with the help of videos, some meant as self help, others just fiction which he has chosen to imitate. After winning his beam katana on an online auction, Travis realized he was broke. He took on an assassination job to kill a man named Helter-Skelter. But after finishing the job, Travis learned that the man was ranked 11th in the United Assassins Association, and by killing him he has now taken his rank. Thus bringing him into the folds of the UAA.

  • Supporting Cast
    • Name: Jeane
    • Age: 25
    • Appearance: "Yes. And that's why you became an assassin. To kill me."
    • Personality: Jeane is a deeply disturbed individual from the life she lived. She carries herself in a calm, collected, and confident manner. She treats killing as a matter of course and shows no remorse. However, under the surface, Jeane is terrified of dying and is weary of life as a killer.
    • Powers: Jeane is a powerful MMA fighter displaying inhuman feats of strength and speed, being able pierce through the human body with a punch and perform something of a Flash Step to dodge and weave.
    • Backstory: Unbeknownst to Travis, Jeane is the illegitimate child of Travis' father and another woman. Jeane's mother, unable to cope with being the other woman, killed her self. With no where to go, she had to rely on their mutual father. The two had a small apartment together and life was miserable. He abused her constantly and in many different ways. Hating the man with every ounce of her being, Jeane sought to become a killer so she can have her revenge. Paying by any means possible, she was able to get the training she needed and eventual was carry out her vengeance, killing the man and his wife in front of their son, Travis. She disappeared from Travis' life after that. Jeane is unranked in the UAA, but is more then capable of taking the number 1 ranking.

    • Name: Shinobu
    • Age: 18
    • Appearance: "What's that in your hand, a toy?"
    • Personality: Shinobu is a teenage girl and it shows in both mannerisms and speech. She is short tempered, hot blooded, and quick to lose her patients. On the other hand, when she likes something, she becomes completely devoted to it. She carries a sort of old samurai sense of honor, most likely something she learned from her deceased father. She also has a strong desire to keep her occupation as an assassin secret. Her high school persona is much more mild mannered.
    • Powers: Shinobu can be summed up as a ninja. She displays amazing speed and agility while wielding her katana, Three Girl Rhumba. She is also able to perform the special move Sonic Sword.
    • Backstory: Shinobu became an assassin to seek revenge on the person who killed her father. The only clues being that the man wielded a beam katana and was an assassin. Her father was a famous martial arts instructor and taught her many of the techniques she uses. She lives her life keeping her normal high school aspects and killer aspects completely separate. She is ranked number 8 in the UAA.

    • Name: Bad Girl
    • Age: 23
    • Appearance: "You think you're bad, don't 'cha?"
    • Personality: Bad Girl is, as she describes her self, an "angry bitch". She is violent, sadistic, and seems to have alot of pent up anger. While referring to killing as just a job , she seems to thoroughly enjoy it. While she comes off incredibly unladylike like, chugging beers and cussing like a sailor, she can turn up the feminine charm and act cute, usually to lower the guard of her enemy and get them to underestimate her.
    • Powers: Bad Girl is alot stronger then she looks, being able send grown men flying with the bat she uses as a weapon. The bat itself also seems to be stronger then its wood make up would suggest, surviving all the abuse it endures. She carries a flask and lighter with her which she uses to light her bat on fire, giving the weapon an explosive impact. Perhaps Bad Girls strongest trait is her pure tenacity, ignoring her wounds in a fight until either she or her target is dead (or at least until she is satisfied with the results).
    • Backstory: Many of the assassins of the UAA like to keep their pasts and personal lives a secret. As a result very little is known about Bad Girl. She lives in the basement of Destroy Stadium where she spends her days chugging down beers and murdering men by the dozens. She appears to be a cosplay maniac, or if nothing else has a unique choice in fashion as is presented by her sweet lolita outfit. But perhaps at the end of the day, all that matters about Bad Girl is that she is a pissed off psychopath who has earned herself the number 2 ranking in the UAA.

    • Name: Death Metal
    • Age: 55
    • Appearance: "So naive..."
    • Personality: Death Metal comes off as an old, wise and honorable warrior with a punk edge. He seems to have become comfortable in his luxurious life and appears laid back. He is not as blood thirsty as his colleagues and will not even bother fighting against someone he deems weak if he can help it. However, he yearns for a good fight and becomes invigorated with a challenge.
    • Powers: Death Metal is an accomplished swords men who uses a large curved beam katana called Orange II as a weapon. He also can create two doppelgangers of him self to attack as a group.
    • Backstory: Count Townsend, aka Death Metal, is an accomplished assassin despite being ranked only 10 in the UAA. Along with the people trying to take the 10th rank for themselves, Death Metal also receives many challengers trying to take the title "Holy Sword" from him. Along with a reputation, Death Metal has been able to amass a sizable fortune. He currently spends most his time living a lazy easy life in his mansion.

    • Name: Destroyman
    • Age: 27
    • Appearance: "Come and get some, punk."
    • Personality: While as John Harnet, Destroyman comes off mild mannered, soft spoken, and sportsmen like. However in reality Destroyman is a loud, obnoxious, taunting, selfish, cowardly, sadistic bastard. There is nothing salvageable from this killer, he is scum to his core.
    • Powers: Despite his looks, Destroyman has no natural superpowers, but relies on SFX Converter to give him the many spectacular attacks he has. These attacks are voice activated and require their names to be spoken aloud. The attacks include "Destroy Spark", which causes a high voltage electric shock from his glove, "Destroy Beam", which shoots small twin laser beams near his eyes, "Destroy Cannon", which fires an energy ball when he brings his hands together, "Destroy Slam", which causes a small shock wave when he slams the ground with his fist, and finally the infamous "Destroy Buster", which fires a powerful beam from his crotch. Besides that, he is a naturally large man.
    • Backstory: How a simple mail man like John Harnet acquired the SFX Converter is a mystery. Why he uses it to murder people is easy to imagine when he laughs with glee after each kill. Along with using it to kill assassination targets, Destroyman happily uses it to kill anyone he does not like, especially people who piss him off in his mundane persona. For whatever reason, people have decided to make a Destroyman movie, staring none other than the rank 7 UAA killer himself.

    • Name: Holly Summers
    • Age: ???
    • Appearance: "Still just a bud."
    • Personality: Holly Summers is calm, collected, patient, and pleasant. She has a poetic outlook on life, though it is a bit morbid. She has no qualms what so ever about loss of life, including her own.
    • Powers: Holly Summers' weapon of choice is explosives. Her prosthetic leg is equipped with a missile launcher and she uses a large number of grenades and mines. She carries a shovel with her which she uses to dig traps and hide mines, but can make a decent bludgeon. Along with the shovel, Holly uses throwing knives as non-explosive weapons. She also understands the importance of using one's environment to their advantage.
    • Backstory: Many would be surprised to find out that Holly Summers is a professional assassin. She is a successful model from Sweden and seems to be a very pleasant person. None the less she is ranked 6 in the UAA. She currently seems to be working with the LB army at Body Slam Beach.

  • Chunk
    • Name of the World: Santa Destroy (with map)
    • Description: Santa Destroy is a small southern California town set in modern day (albeit, slightly behind the times).
    • Contents:
      • The No More Heroes Motel: A motel where Travis lives.
      • Body Slam Beach: A beach whose sands are used for mine testing by the LB army. The waters are also highly toxic due to sewage and industrial waste dumping. Nice atmosphere otherwise. Holly Summer works here.
      • Destroy Stadium: A baseball stadium and home of Santa Destroy Warriors, a team more known for violence against its fans then skill. Bad Girl lives under the stadium.
      • Santa Destroy High school: Has a gang problem. Shinobu attends.
      • Bear Hug Studio: A movie studio where they are shooting a low budget Destroyman movie. Destroyman works here.
      • Townsend Residence: A large beach front property with many luxuries. Death Metal lives here.
    • Specialties: Santa Destroy comes from a world of over the top action with overtones of violence and sex in almost everything. As a result, physics and reality here favors Rule of Cool. The cooler the weapon, the better it is. Death here also must be spectacular and violent. Overkill is the way to go, with everyone gushing large fountains of blood from their wounds. There is a certain degree of Weirdness Censor as well. People will not mind the weird costumes or many deaths in the town unless their life is directly on the line.
    • Population: 900 (150 LB Army Soldiers (Holly Summer has influence with them), 100 mooks in suits (employed by Death Metal), 150 mooks in suits (freelance), 500 pedestrians waiting to be run over)

Was thinking of having Sylvia, but then thought may be fun to have all assassins with no clear idea of what they are doing. Will probably have Jeane take No.1 spot and forge a shaky alliance between the different assassins. From there I will play by ear. Maybe they work together and run Santa Destroy through force. Maybe they turn on each other. Maybe they hire out their services to other chunks.

I'd vote to let him keep it. They're all only bad ass normals so its not like bio is over powered. Heck, even with their combined might, a single touhou character would still probably prove more than a match. The only problem I see is if bio can properly play that many. Though the chunk it self may be under populated, I guess unless you populate it with robots, Australians, and hats.

@troy: yeah, nerf the functional immortality and 200,000 people, wowee. I wonder what all of these people are gonna do when suddenly Big MT is right next door. Or not. Still haven't worked out the map. Otherwise, accepted.

@Trash Jack: can you provide me with some pictures for each of the biomes? And you could add some more people to your chunk's population, if you want. Other than that, accepted!

@Bio: as discussed before, due to the squishy and badass normal nature of all the TF 2 characters, I am opening a (probably) one time only exception. As a TF 2 player, I agree with Immortal Neet in that a single touhou character can probably kill all of them. Although it will be quite a task for Bio, I know he can handle it.

@FullMoon:

  • Reisen: Are there any limitations on her powers? All of them, from the finger gun, to the red eyes, the laser, the flying abilities, that kind of stuff.
  • Mokou: I really have an irksome relationship with immortal characters... is there no way of killing her? No supplemental material which suggests something might be possible?
  • Sekibanki: only problem I have is that there's no limitations to her removing her head. I mean, does she get really dizzy, can someone take her head away, store it in a tank and she has to live without a head? How many heads can she make? Also, is it just me or is flying as common as breathing in Touhouland?
  • Kokoro: just a question, theres no 'super OP attack' mask, right? Please tell me there isn't one.
  • Human Village: can you talk more about what these humans know/don't know, what's their daily lives in this world like? It will help me a lo.t
Other than that, no problems with your sheet.

@Sanojutsu:

  • Dust: what is it? And what living beings can your characters absorb life from? Do they have to be crippled, knocked out, or can they just stroll up to someone and slurp slurp slurp?
  • Citadel: no random, simple citizens? Also, that's 10,000 people, right? Other than that, please tell me a bit about your world and how the normal people that live in it carry out their daily lives.

Being immortal is Mokou's schtick. And yeah, she literally cannot die. As in, the very concept of death no longer applies to her.

On the bright side, she doesn't really enjoy getting torn apart over and over, and will generally call it quits after a while.

Kokoro... does not have a super OP mask. And... it's kinda like an actor, right? A good actor makes you feel and empathize with whatever mood the actor is conveying.

Assume that all Touhous can fly unless stated otherwise btw.

Reisen: Well, she can't stay invisible for too long and the copies she makes of herself cannot harm the opponent other than make him guess which one is the real one. Her smaller bullets aren't as strong as the bullets from a real gun and they don't go too far before slowing down to a crawl. Her stronger shots are slow and easy to dodge. She really relies on messing with the opponent in order to win a fight and if the opponent is good at making use of his other senses, she's left with not too many options. Her wave attacks are in general way short-range.

Mokou: There's no real way to kill her, no, but she can't take too much punishment before being forced to retreat and sometimes she might end up in so much pain not even that could be an option. If nothing else it certainly would be possible to knock her out temporarily.

Sekibanki: Someone could probably take her head and keep it locked away somewhere else, yes. She can make up to 8 heads without including the original.

Kokoro: No OP masks, no. In fact her strongest attack in her game is blinding her opponent by forcing a mask into their face and then attacking them multiple times with her naginata (oh yeah she has one of these) rather than really any specific power.

Human Village: The people there live in pretty much a feudal world, so they probably wouldn't know much about modern technology and the like. While in the Battleworld they would likely try to keep the village running by getting enough food for everybody, materials for construction, etc while waiting for Miko to find a way of bringing them back to their world. Some would probably try to do exploration themselves and see if they can find anything of us for the village.

About the flying, yeah, Touhou girls all fly, though I don't think Akyuu can and Marisa needs a broom to do it.

Marisa doesn't. Marisa can fly perfectly fine without it, she has one for the whole "witch image".

I wasn't sure if that was actually confirmed to be the case or if it was just fandom. It's kinda hard to tell with Touhou.

Everything else seems fine, it's just that immortality thing that keeps bugging me...

I think Dust is like a kind of raw magical field kind of thing. In the actual game, it's the money you use to buy stuff, and the Broken Lords use dust instead of food to increase their population.

If the immortality is too iffy, I could replace Mokou for another character.

@Strat

Dust: Its the currency they use in the game, its a golden dust with certain magical properties, hence why the Broken Lords can use it for sustenance.

Draining: they can essentially walk up to someone, raise their arm to them and slurp, but we can nerf that if you like, its not like they can drain it all immediately in any case.

Citizens: Soldiers either train, do rounds around the city as guards, or eat dust to sustain, laborers either work or eat to sustain, and the governors... well you get the deal. The broken lords are mechanically vampires, honor bound not to drink blood from other living beings and able to extract their sustenance from a precious metal or rock dust. I suppose they have normal random people, but I would expect the number being pretty reduced.

@Full Moon: would it alter too much the relationship between the characters? If not, please do.

@Sano: yes, but what does it do to people, why do they eat it? What are these magical properties? And let's make the slurping procedure more complicated- basically they have to knock down the person, which means that a fight will always precede an attempt at sucking someone's life force, and it'll give the target a chance to fight back.
