I just want them to bring back the Pokemon World Tournament. Why they took it out after the Black and White games I have no idea.

Bringing back Challenge Mode and making it available from the get go would also be neat.

Call me crazy, but I think that the Dark type needs something akin to Freeze Dry so that they have something to counter fairies. Here's one possible move that could theoretically do such a thing:

Name: Corruption

Type: Dark

Category: Special

PP: 20 (Max. 32)

Power: 70

Accuracy: 100

Description: The user unleashes a powerful wave of darkness that rapidly smothers the target. This move is super effective on Fairy types.

If you ask me, Ghost-types should be strong against the Fairy-type. Bam, instant differentiation from the Dark typing.

This is getting off topic.

A flaw with a chip has made it impossible for Nintendo to simply patch it out. Hackers having a field day.

In other words, we have a situation similar to the old boot2 v2 Wiis, except it's triggered by a hardware hack and Nintendo can't even attempt to patch it out.

It'll be interesting to see how CFW takes off on the Switch. Though if the quiet hardware revision rumor is to be believed, it might only be the currently produced Switches that can do it.

Can't tell if you're personally excited about Punch Out, or just being accurate to the trademark.

there's also a Paper Mario trademark in there.

The latter, I have never played a game in the series.

Punch-Out!! was a pretty fun game. Wonder if it'll be a port or a new entry.

If I'm both accurate to the trademark AND excited for it, should I call it "Punch-Out!!!!"?

Recently I've been watching a lot of Friends Without Benefits, so I've been itching for a new Mario Party. Hopefully we get one that's good again.

I'd be more interested in the trademark news if we knew what that Japanese says. The fact that they'd trademark those particular series doesn't strike me as very surprising.

It's all the usual stuff. Filed in the proper trademark class for video games, etc.

Note that the Japanese text for each is completely identical aside from registration number.

I've been wanting a sequel to Next Level Games' Punch-Out!! for the longest time.

Just a reminder, Nintendo's Full Fiscal Year report will be out soon after the Japanese stock markets close, which at the writing of the post will be just under 7 hours from now.

Odyssey at 10.41.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe at 9.22.

Breath of the Wild at 8.48.

Kirby, Pokken,and Fire Emblem Musou all over a million. Mario Kart and Splatoon have beaten their Wii U counterparts. Breath of the Wild hits 10 million and is now the best selling Zelda. Switch software is on a roll.

I can't even imagine how well Pokemon Switch will sell. Most of the recent games have sold almost as much as the number of Switches that are out.

Xenoblade 2 is over a million as well, if I remember right.

We've known that since Nintendo's last report.

If you combine both versions, Mario Kart 8 stands a very good chance of becoming the best selling Mario Kart of all time. Currently it's beaten 7, and DS won't hold for the year. Wii's 37 million is a tougher nut to crack, but not impossible.

This has to be the best use of Labo I've seen so far, even if it's a simple tech demo, or should I say, tech Deemo?

I just got Doom yesterday.

I actually liked it, though I was a little annoyed to learn that it was one of those "download required" games.

Between Switch games, it was between that and LA Noire for me.
