Even though I do plan to get Bomberman, I don't think it's going to do well.
At most, I think it will break even as Bomberman is very niche.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Apparently if you run out of power, the Switch will auto-save your progress before the battery dies.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? This is the sort of thing that makes me go "What? That's awesome!" but after I stop and think for a second I question why they didn't do that shit before.
Not sure if anyone cares, but apparently Voez is getting a Switch port.. I love Rayark's rhythm games, so I'm actually pretty excited about this.
Wonder if they'll port any other games? The phone versions of everything except Voez take up a ton of space, so it'd be nice to have the option to play them on something else.
The Vita did, amusingly. If you lose power and go plug it in, you'll resume exactly as you were, as if the power never went out.
Oh yeah it did. I barely ever play my Vita so I forgot all about that.
Nintendo Everything got info on the day 1 patch from Nintendo.
- It adds network features, such as eShop access, online gameplay, and sharing images to social media.
- Link up Nintendo accounts.
- adds mobile hotspot access by using a web applet to access it.
"Mobile hotspot?" I doubt that means cellular network access, since that requires a SIM card.
Also, hopefully the "autosave on power out" does not overwrite your actual save file, because sometimes people wan't to undo a thing and go back. But if it's a "quicksave" sort of thing with it's own save slot, that's awesome.
Most devices with SIM cards can spoof as really, really shitty modems by connecting to a wireless device and a mobile network connection.
I sure said that! There are actually decent devices that take a sim and work as a portable wifi router for internet access.
Though the Switch shouldn't need a patch to be able to use wifi.
I'm guessing it's more "streamlined app that isn't scary to the consumer."
The Switchs out in the hands of previewers obviously have the hardware, they just can't connect as of now outside of theoretical mods.
I sure said that!I assume the patch that activates all the online features is because in case someone somehow gets the switch way earlier than they are supposed to (which did happen, after all), they can't access the eShop and other online features that may or may not even be entirely set up yet so nothing gets screwed up or something.
At least that's my interpretation. But now I wonder, did the X Box One and PS 4 also require day 1 patches to unlock that stuff, or did they not? :o
@Geist-Fox: If it works anything like the Vita, it's not even an actual save, it just continues as if you always had power.
So, it's kind of a weird "sleep mode save state" or something. Neat.
For the Vita, yes. We don't know what the story is for the Switch.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpI've got the Bot W Special Edition pre-ordered and I'm getting I am Setsuna and Snipperclips: CIOT.
Pre-ordered a Gray bundle but every time I see the Neon Joy-con I regret it a little bit more. So pretty. I'm definitely getting a Neon Blue set when I get a chance.
I get the feeling many people will be ending up with Gray Switches, if the lower stock for the Neon bundle rumor is to be believed.
I preordered the neon set so here's hoping.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order.I wonder how much the Switch will be in demand post-release. I might get one once Shovel Knight comes out.
Shovel Knight is going to be available at launch.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Oh? I saw an image saying it would come out in April or something.
It was never confirmed exactly when it would be coming until last week, where it and a few other games were confirmed for launch. Switch also gets the new campaign before everyone else.
I preordered the neon set the day preorders opened. Hopefully i get it and not get downgraded to a gray.
At my place, the Switch preorder is a forced bundle with a copy of zelda and 1 2 switch. So looks like I'll be forced to play that game i am not really interested in after all. I can just sell it later, i guess.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!
We'll be getting estimations for the JP launch in a few days, so here are the previous Nintendo launch numbers. Source.
For hardware, over 300K should be expected for the Switch. Zelda is the strongest launch game of the past decade+ by far, so well over 200K for Switch version only easily. Over 300K isn't impossible since it's going to be near 1:1 with Switch sales. 1-2-Switch has decent pre-orders, and it's by default the second biggest game, so that should be over 100K. Bomberman will be lucky to do over 50K. Everything else is probably irrelevant.
