Considering how much backlash Microsoft got when they announced their used-games policy (which contributed to exceptionally poor launch sales), I doubt that any company is going to try policing used games any time soon.
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI just realized how bitchy I sounded in that last post of mine, whoops.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I remember that video Sony did.
It was EPIC.
EA would flat out not let you play online if you bought used.
You know, I have to wonder why Pit is obsessed with this site. It’s gonna ruin his life!Which is stupider than stupid. One disc is one user, that online play was paid for by somebody if not the current owner.
So they weren't before.
It sounds more like they never had a clear stance on the matter until now.
So the Fire Emblem Fates faux pax actually made a difference.
@Noname: Got a different article? I have to activate javascripts on that page in order to actually see what's on it, and I would rather not.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Or the Tomadachi Life thing.
The source is some article in Spanish, I do believe. Make of that what you will.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! It's also specifically referring to Nintendo of Japan. And as technologically advanced as they like to have their nation percieved, their social norms are a bit... Dated.
Rumor: Split D-pad and Share button.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."So copying the PS 4 controller?
Pretty much.
Baseline storage in the prototype is 32 GB. For reference, the baseline storage for the 3DS is 4 GB.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."What's it for the other current gen consoles+the Vita?
Lowest Baseline Storage:
Vita: 1GB
Wii U: 8GB
Xbox One: 500 GB
PS 4: 500 GB
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Why would Nintendo abandon the cross D-Pad? Considering it was Nintendo Legend Gunpai Yukoi who made it and that Nintendo still owns the rights to the cross D-Pad, I see no reason why Nintendo would abandon it. The Share button makes some sense, but not a separated D-Pad.

I assume these numbers do not take into account the memory the system itself takes up just to run itself.
If they expect to run the digital downloads race, they'll need to crank up their built-in storage. 32 GB is lackluster compared to the competition.
Well yeah, FFXV alone is looking at being 45GB+ not taking into account the day one patch.
Games should be shipped in a complete enough state to not need a day one patch...
But yeah, you'd think they'd at least upped it to a 100 gigs at the least, even though that's still smol for somebody who buys most games digital, but it would at least be finally in the triple digits.
That's part of the reason SE delayed the game. They didn't want people to have to download a patch to play the game the optimal way so they're putting everything they would've worked on while the game went through cert on the disc.
Of course they'll still work on it while this version goes through cert since they'll have nothing else to do and will probably find some bugs while waiting but at least it'll be better for people without internet now.
Given that 32 is the baseline, I'd guess that the max would be 64 or 128GB. Possibly 256GB, but I'm not optimistic about that.
I feel like their reasoning for not jumping to 500GB/1TB like the PS 4 and Xbone consoles is because unless this changes with the NX, they don't need to install from the disc. Doesn't look like they're trying to push digital downloads either, instead just offering them as an alternative with small incentives via My Nintendo.
Mmmm. But no, the games industry isn't trying to stifle used game sales, not at all.
