The article is from 2013.
It still said it was coming in April. I don't know what to believe.
"We be we baby!"Anyway, I'm gonna throw out the thought that Alvin and the Chipmunks was a concept that was never really that charming to begin with and only really works as far as "The Chipmunk Song" (though I admit I do have a nostalgic soft spot for that Christmas animated movie and that one weird one where Theodore turns into Mr. Hyde for some reason).
Enjoy your nightmares, kiddies!
(I'm trying to imagine Ross Sr. in the studio overdubbing all these vocals, looking at his watch from time to time and every so often giving a "why am I doing this" expression to the engineer. "Hurry fast" indeed...)
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Uh, the show is called ALVIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIN! and The Chipmunks. Not joking.

No.
No.
Oh goodness, no.
No.
Just...no.
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty. We still are not sure if this is official because no one ever made an American announcement on any kid stations. If anything, it'll air on Net Flix, like Veggie Tales: In the house.
"We be we baby!"I have high hopes for this series, at least they got the original voice actors from the 80's series back. I also have high hopes for the Smurfs CGI film.
Nothing was there.
"We be we baby!"Eh, the original Creator's son is involved with the Show. I'm skeptical for "ALVIIIN! And the Chipmunks" being good, but I'm hoping it's not a complete train wreck like the Chipmunk Movie Sequels.
Plus, I loved the last Alvin and the Chipmunk TV Show (Had a couple of their episodes on VHS). This could be decent like the first movie; not spectacular or even good, but good enough to watch.
Yep, the animation looks really similar to Sonic Boom animation, especially since both were created by the same studio. I guess if they'll have new songs and NOT GO INTO UNCANNY VALLEY TERRITORY OR Totally Radical, it all should be good.
"We be we baby!"That was actually kind of funny. Then again, I know who Alvin is, so that might be why it's funny.
Eh, it could work. It really could.
Can't watch it, because I'm at school.
Then watch it at home.
"We be we baby!"I'll try.
The writing was okay but... Why does Alvin look like a cross-between a human, Rapunzel, and whatever is a cartoon chipmunk?
Just like G:KND, i'm quite concerned if this will ever become a reality(To the united states).
"We be we baby!"Perfect English.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here. Not sure if sarcasm or explaining how it's coming to U.S.
"We be we baby!"The series premieres this Monday. Hold on to your shirt tails.
"We be we baby!"Weren't the original voices for this series mostly Ross Bagdasarian (son of the Chipmunks creator, who's professional name was in fact Dave Seville) and his wife, Janice Karman?
I saw commercials for it while watching TMNT. I didn't know about it, but it looks... cute at least, the CGI looks appealing enough, and a couple of lines in the ads got some small chuckles out of me, so I'm cautiously optimistic about it for now.
Well, it's not as bad as first thought. Those high pitch voices are still similar to those to the Original, I guess. And they kept the classic theme song, but cut out "Coming at you like never before".
"We be we baby!"
-Cries internally-
It's bad enough that we have to live with those less-than-subpar movies, but now I come across this, AND IT'S COMING IN APRIL?! Why? Did anyone really want more of this crap? I mean it's already done in France, but being brought over to America, you know you're just beating a dead horse(or chipmunk in this case). I really can't see this going well for ANYONE unless you're a die hard, hardcore fan of the show. So, does anyone feel invested, at all, and if so, where will said show air? They certainly never said anything on Nick, CN, or Disney.
"We be we baby!"
