The suggestion is an improvement, although it also feels like Suspiciously Specific Denial.
I don't think the suggestion is any better. It's too close to JAFAAC for me — what does weapons-grade plutonium have to do with anything? Even after reading the example that mentions it — Who's Gryognome?
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I have to assume it's the author of the webcomic, based on the phrasing.
I don't think the suggestion is an improvement. Nothing in that panel indicate that the guy being framed is actually guilty of the crime.
@4: Based on the strip, I assume Gyrognome is that little gnome character who did the frame-up.

The current is pretty bad. You can infer the trope from the dialogue (he's guilty, but not in the way he's charged, i.e. framed), but the actual image doesn't add a whole lot to the text. Again, you can infer they're in a courtroom, but them not looking dressed for it detracts from that. It still puts it at Keep Until Better Image Suggested levels, though.
The suggestion is worse.
Check out my fanfiction! The current image isn't great, but I can at least see how it fits the trope. That's more than can be said for the suggestion.
Also, the thread tag doesn't work.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe thread tag I believe was changed by someone as this was something else originally.
Can't remember exactly what it was.
It was about Framing the Guilty Party.
Fixed it. It seems like someone tried to use the Alter Article Connection feature to make a post but it failed.

As the person who added the current image ... um, yeah. It's an additional joke more than it is an illustration of the trope. Sorry about that.
I agree that the suggestion in #1 would look like Suspiciously Specific Denial sans context, but I don't have any ideas for better replacements.
The current image has a hint of a background that I am guessing is a space courtroom. That is a little bit of something.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan. The current image could be better, but I got how it related to the trope just fine. If we can find a clearer image then great.
It's really hard for me to get how the trope relates to the suggestion without the rest of the comic strip (and even then I really didn't get it). So I think it's keep until better image is suggested.
Yeah, current's about 90% words, but it still adds something.
Suggestion just seems confusing.
Found a Youtube Channel with political stances you want to share? Hop on over to this page and add them. Not feeling the suggestion, so Keep Until Better..
The consensus appears to be that the current is at least in Keep Until Better Image Suggested territory...I'm good to go ahead and close this one; anyone else?
"Keep until Better is Suggested" for me, and the suggestion in the OP isn't better.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I'm gonna go ahead and lock this one since the consensus is Keep Until Better Image Suggested and there hasn't been any discussion for a while.
At first glance, I thought "Mmh, not a very good page picture..."
With the second look, I then thought "Wait, that's a VERY BAD page picture!" Without the context, you can't even tell it's this trope.
Just as a starting suggestion, I would mention the last panel of this strip. And there's probably other in the same webcomic, it's Gyrognome's MO.
