Nice Job Fixing It, Villain is when the villain fixes something that wasn't broken by the villain (sort of like Kick the Dog but in a way that realigns the dog's spine, which is just one variation of this).

It explicitly is not what the villain fixes what the villain broke, ESPECIALLY villains foiling their own plans. That is Hoist by His Own Petard.

Now the latter does have more wicks, but a large number of wicks for the former still use that trope when it's the latter. Even if this trope eventually got renamed (although I admittedly couldn't make such a thread), the misuse still needs cleaning up.

I'm asking for help because I don't know the context of a lot of the works to tell if the examples fit this or not.

I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.

Delete every example where you can't tell whether it applies just from the example text. An example not explaining how it fits is just as good a deletion reason as not fitting, period.

Well I can do that over the week, but I still would like help with the wicks.
