For the crowner, I'm thinking that we should use the options Mintweasel came up with along with some others.

Crowner Description: Blessed with Suck and Cursed with Awesome are confused with each other across the site. This seems to stem from how so long as anyone (character in work narritive tone, fandom, troper, etc.) thinks a power is awesome/sucky or blessed/cursed then a given power will qulaify for the trope.

  • Option 1: Make Blessed with Suck and Cursed with Awesome YMMV. Fix definitions of BWS and CWA across the site to match the actual trope pages.
  • Option 1: Simply clean up the YMMV examples and leave the rest as is.
  • Option 2: Clarify BWS and CWA to only include instances where the power affects the protagonist in a way opposite of which it was presented. (e.g. including examples like The Incredible Hulk). Clean up examples.
  • Option 3: Same as 2, but also only from the perspective of the affected person(s). (e.g. not including examples like The Incredible Hulk). Clean up examples.

We could also make another page to move YMMV examples to, rather than deleting them outright. Overall, though, I totally agree.

What does "affects the protagonist in a way opposite it is presented" even mean? Water breathing allwws them to walk unharmed through fire?

A bit concerned with the crowner being used for two tropes. Perhaps it's better to make another thread for the other crowner.
