For someone complaining about a review not contributing anything, you sure aren't contributing anything.
It seems to me that somehow you consider that this critic is negative, while it repeatedly says that Kingsman has much more than meets the eye and may be one of the most interesting movies of the year.
They are a troll. Ignore them.
Can confirm.

The Gazelle is magnificent. She's like a pre-Raiden. I wonder what her backstory is.

Youtube embedding is currently broken. Known problem that hasn't yet been addressed, for whatever reason. (I don't have any inside contacts in the coding staff.)

I know right?
I spent that whole constantly going ''Oh shit! He's dead! He's not gonna make! NO WAIT! He's winning! He's gonna be okay.....NO! HE GOT SHOT! OH SHIT!!! OH WAIT THE SUIT'S BULLET PROOF! HE'S GOOD! NO! YES! NO! YES!
Then it was all done and he was the last man standing, and I was like YEAH! And then I saw the look on his face, and I was like Oh.
And that was before what happened next when he finally left.
One Strip! One Strip! He really managed to make us care about him, this true gentleman.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.If it wasn't for George Miller schooling Michael Bay and most other Hollywood film directors in really how to make an action movie, this one would be the best film I've seen all year. There wasn't a false note throughout the movie, not one. All the cast were on top form. It made the utterly unbelievable conceit of Valentine's plan chillingly plausible, and for my money showed how those fucks in power would deal with the rest of us, given the choice. It's an extremely political movie.
I hope they don't mess up the sequel when it comes out in 2017.
And on the Roxy being sidelined bit, did everybody miss that she blew up Valentine's fucking satellite with a missile, after doing that near-exoatmospheric balloon ascent, giving Eggsy extra time to deal with the situation? Agency on the plot? Yeah, I think so.

Pretty sure people wanted a cool action scene from her, though the badass Dragon with leg blades being a lady helps make up for it.
Fucking awesome movie otherwise, though.
Blowing up a satellite and then doing a hundred and thirty thousand feet free-fall immediately afterwards NOT actiony enough then? Tough crowd.
Considering ones people remember the most in this movies are the ones involving hand to hand (well, umbrellas to god knows what) fight so not exactly a tough crowd there.
I loved this movie, but only minor thing I disliked was how it constantly says it's not like Bond movies.
For fuck's sake, this is a Bond movie as directed by Quentin Taratino, enough with that pretentiousnessm
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.I didn't get that vibe at all. I got the vibe, which is pretty evident, that the movie keeps stating it isn't a modern James Bond movie, as Galahad makes obvious ("I don't like the modern Bond movies, they're too serious for my taste").
"All you Fascists bound to lose."The movie disses on both modern and "campy" era, actually. Valentine tells Garland that he ain't like Bond villains who blabber about his plan (which he does anyway) while Eggsy tells him that he ain't like Bond who keeps throwing Bond one liners (which apparently counts as one liner anyway).
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It does because of Ironic Echo.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Characters may have been saying they were not in a Bond movie, but they were acting as if they were in one half the time (and subverting / deconstructing it the other half). So I'd flag this more as some kind of meta Hypocritical Humor.
I mean, if having an organisation of well-dressed and cultured Englishmen facing a quirky supervillain with a henchwoman sporting an unusual equipment is not plain classic James Bond movies, I don't know what it is.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.Heh, if we wanted a Not-A-Bond-Movie we'd go watch The Bourne Series. Or zaRDoz
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Sooooo I guess I am the only one to think this movie wasn't that great?
It was ok. Not great but not particularly bad.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders!
As much as anything else.
What good "That's a very fine essay." or "HULK IMPRESSIVE. LEARNED ME SOMETHING TODAY."
