You know, I always assumed you could use telekenisis on yourself to fly. But that would be silly.
Saint LaughterThat's actually how a number of comic book Super Heroes do fly, or so I always presumed at least.
...Also. No. Bad Yecotis. Don't you dare stab Other! Martin's bonding with him! They'll be buddies forever and ever!
I actually kind of want Yecotis to pick a fight with the Other just because I know Yecotis will get the hell kicked out of him. I mean, getting mauled by a super-bear should count towards danger and stuff right? They work like Saiyans right?
Saint LaughterSo if this was a TV show or something, who do you all think would be the protagonist (assuming all of us weren't all protagonists)?
My vote is for Martin, especially if his power evolves into Heart Is an Awesome Power, though Yecotis would be an interesting choice as well.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertI recon either Martin or Haile, depending on the genre of T.V. show.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”I say Martin and his friendship power would definitely be the protagonist and Yecotis would probably be some sort of foil or antagonist for him. Or anyone else since they have slightly more combat oriented powers.
Saint LaughterMartin does have the least confidence in his initial powers, I'd say - and everyone else is a tad to into moral ambiguity. Susie definitely isn't protagonist material in a regular T.V. show, and Yecotis could be in a Dexter-type show.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”A Yecotis based show would be a cross between Dexter and Touched by an Angel. Or something along those lines. Two things that don't go together but would be awesome in a psycopathic kind of way.
Saint LaughterI'd like to think Susie is kinda like River from Firefly, but that may be too flattering - she's not helpless, just doesn't kick that much ass. Still, batshit nuts though its not her fault.
Shall I just go ahead and make a post with Susie, Haile and Penny outside the military outpost? I would have soon but I've been a little busy getting ready for another semester of uni.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Yes please.
Also, I meant in the context of the RP being a TV show. Sorry for not mentioning that.
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertYecotis is gonna blindly wander the city until something interesting happens. Also, this RP should be a Saturday Morning Cartoon. For reals.
Saint LaughterOk, I made a post jumping us to the station - I'll let kkutwar determine what Susie and everyone sees exactly.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”I was thinking anime, though I think of pretty much any fictional TV show as an anime, or at least animated, unless it's been otherwise specified. At any rate, the theme song for this RP should totally be this or this.

“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertI used to love Saturday Morning Cartoons, they were always interesting for me as a child. Though regarding protagonist, I would assume Martin and Haile & Susie have specific storylines they follow with the occasional cross. Yecotis would be full blown antagonist with the occasional accidental fix. Others, like Penny and Bear/'Other' would be more supporting cast.
Besides that, I'll work up an update later.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Okay, they aren't so much illusions as he's tricking your mind into thinking it's real. Like he's editing everyone's perception of reality. It's more of a thing like that actually.
Saint LaughterI don't think you should try to amend the nature of your powers in the middle of the RP, but in this case, it doesn't really seem to matter, since what you described is how Illusions actually work. The alternative would be having the power of holographic projection. ...Which would admittedly be an interesting power.
Yeah I should probably wait until he gets his ass kicked. Yecotis is trying to add to the body count by the way. He likes the challange of the 'military' getting involved.
Saint LaughterI suppose the new found voice echoing is your Minor Development for having dealt with those troops at Ground Zero? Besides that, I didn't update on the 4th because I was having a touch of difficulty trying to justify them not just shooting you on the spot. I admit to not having seen your edit until today however.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I would have gone for him getting shot on the spot. I have ideas about his rez but that's for way latter when he's a more viable threat. Also I kind of just decided to improvise what he's doing right now. Yecotis is trying to figure out what works and what doesn't. He wants like, a cult or something.
Saint LaughterJust shoot him in the knees and/or junk.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”Aywhere but there! You can't recover from that! That's evil.
Saint LaughterIt's evil for evil's sake. Yecotis is ULTIMATE GOOD where evil is allowed becuase it contributes to the greater good. Yecotis doesn't revel in his creulty but rahter his warped sense of justice and goodness.
Saint LaughterIs it wrong that I'd like to see how Yecotis would react to getting shot? Illusory powers don't stop him from being a squishy meatbag like the rest of us. He could be a cautionary tale to all of us! Something like, "Hey. Bullets hurt." It's a lesson that must be learned, I say!
Illusions =/= Intangiblity, and they were specified as visual meaning you could still be heard/smelled/touched. I also think he would have to specify illusioning his body heat so heat vision goggles couldn't track him.
Regarding Addisu, I would figure he could (eventually) walk using telekinetic legs. Seems more fitting than simply moving around his wheelchair, though it makes sense his Base Ability starts out like that since he's used to using the wheelchair anyways.
