Looking For Players [RPs You're Not Sure Anyone Wants You To Start]

All the characters are merfolk though, so you'd probably have to turn Altan into a mermaid.

The Vitality Underground Interest Check explains a bit more, but would anyone be interested in a Fantasy Kitchen Sink roleplay so massive it's broken up into various threads to actually focus on events? I imagine it somewhat comic booky (VU Comics sounds so natural), and its intended to do quite a lot with tropes. If there's enough interest I'll go into more detail with the Discussion thread, so yeah.

Color me intrigued.

Something of a RP set in a fictional city in the likes of Gotham where all characters are living/based there to do their work, regardless if they're good/bad/neutral guys.

Who would be up for a Kingdom Hearts RP?

What would it be about and what about the combat system? Kind of want to try all kinds of Command combinations and neat ways to apply the Keyblade.

I'm thinking of something taking place a few years after Kingdom Hearts 3, with a new villain(s) calling himself the Eraser. He believes that the cause of all conflict is relationships, so the obvious solution is to fuck up the universe beyond all repair with darkness, leaving the survivors in total isolation.

I was angsty when I came up with this.

I didn't really think about the combat system. Any suggestions?

What about a villain so intently focused on Kingdom Hearts they try to destroy the Realm of Darkness to get at it? The players could be given pseudo-Keyblades by them to unwittingly help with the destruction. Making them pseudo-Keyblades is so we can't gleefully abuse the (un)locking powers, and the Command Slot limitation would be the fact we don't magic: Thus the pseudo-Keyblades have to store the magic for us.

Regarding the Commands and maybe Abilities, perhaps each player has a Style they're based off? That way the player can handle most of it whilst you handle the Balance. They could also get Enemy Command/Abilities fitting their Style, like a sneak attack Style gives you a Sink & Homing Uppercut Command from Shadows while an evasion heavy Style gets a Shadowized Dodge Roll. Oh, and the villain's officers could be Somebodies he put back together wrong.

So with Halloween approaching soon. Who would like a Cosplay RP where people get abilities based on their costume?

'cause my favorite character's a guy and I wondered what would happen for anyone whose character is a different gender from them.

I'm a newcomer to this part of the forums (though not to roleplaying in general or TV Tropes in general), so maybe attempting to run an RP of my own isn't the best of ideas. However, there really wasn't anything currently running that really caught my attention; I might join Echoing Silence's Halloween RP if I can think of someone to use, but that's about it. So I'd figured I'd pitch an idea and see if anyone else was interested.

The idea I had in mind was an open-ended Magical Girl RP. By "open-ended," I mean that there wouldn't be an overarching plot to start with, although there would be some subplot hooks that participants could choose to follow if they didn't have any ideas for subplots of their own. The centerpiece of the RP would be a guild office of sorts where the characters could accept missions, train, or just chat with other characters.

Is there anyone else who thinks this would be worth pursuing?

What would the setting be like?

In short: Present-day Earth plus a masquerade consisting of various abnormal things (read: whatever the participants feel like introducing for subplots). Said masquerade would not be very well held; some things would be really good at keeping themselves hidden, others just wouldn't care about staying hidden, and still others would be somewhere in between (the presence of magical girls would be in this category; the guild wouldn't outright announce what its real purpose is, but it also wouldn't penalize anyone for finding out on their own).

I have some more ideas for the setting, but at this point I'm thinking making a dedicated interest check thread would be a good idea.
