Touhou is infamous for its Bullet Hell-spewing bosses, and the page image fails to capture (ahem) the essence of it; it's just fanart of Subterranean Animism boss Parsee Mizuhashi (and unsourced fanart, at that) and a caption describing her status as a surprisingly hard Stage 2 boss, which would fit if the image was actually a screenshot of one of her attacks.

Any pic for this page is, I think, going to have to show her attacks in-game in order to get the idea across...the current doesn't do that.

Yep for a Bullet Hell game we really need a Bullet Hell screen... Something Beyond the Impossible in difficulty would be preferred seeing how the series is famous for it.

Considering that the page image on Bullet Hell isn't an example of That One Boss but still looks far worse than anything Parsee throws out, I'm not sure how to get it across well enough in a static image, other than just, "this one is That One Boss". Most of the time the difficulty lies in unusual, distracting, or unpredictable patterns, rather than just a lot of bullets.

[up] The reason the image on Bullet Hell doesn't qualify for That One Boss is that it's taken from a fight with a Bonus Boss.

Also, Parsee is more notable for being surprisingly difficult for an early boss; she's not especially difficult compared to other bosses overall.

It's more that she has some surprisingly tricky attacks for a boss of her tier. "Green-Eyed Monster" is known for its homing patterns that can corner a careless player. Many players compare her to Stage 4 and 5 bosses.

And yes, I get that it is hard to convey how difficult patterns can get in danmaku games, but no image is better than one that doesn't illustrate the trope.

[up][up]No, the reason Yukari doesn't qualify is that she's just not That One Boss. She's even comparatively easy compared to some other extra bosses.

And the other thing is pretty much what I was talking about anyway: The difficulty is about details not visible in a static screenshot.

I won't disagree with you about Yukari's difficulty, but it's a moot point due to the fact that That One Boss and Bonus Boss are mutually exclusive. (That's a good thing, though, since it's a completely objective reason as opposed to a subjective one.)

That said, I do still have an idea involving using Yukari for comparison purposes, but it's rather big.

Top: Yukari Yakumo, Touhou 7's Phantasm Stage Boss
Bottom: Satori Komeiji, Touhou 11's Stage 4 Boss, using the same attack with even more bullets.||||

EDIT: Well, I tried to add a caption, but it seems I messed up somewhere. I can't figure out what I did wrong; can anyone enlighten me?

Combining caption and image on the forum can be really wonky. I've fixed with a table.
