It looks like a Robot. Not even armor. And not even a robot who wears armor. And even if it did, doesn't show the adaptive part.

As a suggestion: Blue Beetle's armor creating a shield. (Probably not the best, but literally anything is better than what we currently have).

The current is a prime JAFAAC but the suggestion is too small to see what's going on...is there a bigger version?

This is another one where an animated image would be great.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

Can't really see the trope either. The shield is visible, but it doesn't look like it's from the armor.

Not sure about the suggestion.

Current should be pulled. Even the caption is stupid, since the robot has what looks like jets on its back, which would negate the need for wings. Well, in fiction, anyway.

Presumably, the jets are the adaption.

I also think we should have two pictures that shows the armor's adaption.

The current image looks like a general robot, yeah. Pull it.

Going off of Blue Beetle, this pic is of the typical armor when worn by different species. We could redesign it to be vertical.

I'm not sure that I understand the trope.

It's an armor that adapts/changes in looks/function. Say, a magic armor that becomes more rigid/thicker to No-Sell the physical blows of a dragon, or a nanosuit Power Armor that enlarges/strengthens the leg muscles to jump over a speeding car or outrun it.

This makes me think of Crysis. I think a montage of images from promotional material or intro videos in the Crysis series would be great (showing the different Nanosuit modes next to each other).

Regarding the current image: we don't need any more reasons to remove it, but I wanted to say that it's from Bionicle, where almost all life is bio-mechanical. He's actually naked, not armored.

Examples are sparse, so I can't find anything. As to the current, I motion to pull. It's really confusing, and the caption doesn't help. There is no way in hell that there is a guy in there. Better imageless than the current.

This one's sat idle long enough. I've tagged the page; locking up.
