Yeah, but it wouldn't be just them saying it, it would be literally the entire society and probably his parents to some extent, depending on how much they were being spied on. Also, that doesn't address the 'All P Cs must come from Earth' thing.

As I said, stubborn as a mule. His father even tried to tell him that the Heroes were oppressive loons, but Caleb apparently waved him off and said that "of course they'd say that". He's very committed to this delusion.

Uh, where does it say he's not from Earth?

Ok I'm not sure how 'his father agrees with him' and says the Heroes are bad people = Caleb ignores his father, believes Heroes are bad people' works. And Earth tends to be rather short on Heroes wringing the provinces dry and demons.

You know what, fine, I'll edit more.

And wait a sec on that - 1) are we then going from a perfectly mundane Earth to a not mundane Earth? 2) what position do you have within the RP?

We are going from a normal, modern-day Earth to the Generic Fantasy Land-inspired world of Leaven. Did you do much more than skim the OP? Because this stuff is pretty clearly laid out. There was even a thing about how P Cs must come from Earth on the first page.

I was less than half awake at the time, admittedly.

So your character can, with ease, cause large buildings to collapse?

That sounds pretty OP.

I think that that character is meant to only get that ability in the later end of the game. I mean, I think the idea is to start out with minorish powers that grow into very strong abilities later on.

Yeah, he obviously wouldn't be able to pull that off at the get-go. As I said in my signup, at first he'd be able to mentally map buildings, and that's pretty much it. Crumbling buildings would be something that happened once others could sword-beam castles in half anyway.

Hey look!. Yu-Gi-Oh meets wrasslin'!

Name: Anna Est

Age: 25

Gender: Female

Appearance: http://safebooru.org/index.php?page=post&s=view&id=1181428

Personality: Capricious. Flighty. Restless. Bold. Anna is a nomad at heart and tends to wander from place to place, going where the wind blows. She is also flirty and curious in general.

History: Anna was born to a wealthy family, and seemed to be the model girl while growing up. Good grades, many friends, a variety of extracurriculars - the works. However, she felt stifled by such expectations, quietly resenting the way her life seemed to be planned out by those around her. After finishing college, Anna flits from city to city, state to state, never throwing down roots, never staying for more than a month or two at a time.

Skills: A bit of everything, actually. Anna has moved from hobby to hobby, job to job, out of caprice. Of course, the flip side is that she isn't great at anything. Though you could say that she's charming, and knows how to use it.

Domains: [Masks] - Anna has transitioned from job to job. From cashier to freelance photographer to warehouse security guard to theater actress. This manifests itself as "Masks." She is able to seamlessly assume the identity of others. At lower levels, she can mimic general archetypes, like "scribe" or "apprentice" or "knight", gaining their skills and powers. As it progresses, she can act with harder jobs, like "Paladin" or "Wizard" or "King", with the apex of this domain being able to assume the identity of such people with ease.

[Disorder] - Anna's adult life has been spent rebelling against the order others try to impose on her. As such, she pushes back out with Disorder, which is as unpredictable as it is potent. The most control she can exert over it is to vaguely direct it, so it works well against complex objects, like a crossbow, where a single, untaut string could ruin the whole thing. As it grows stronger, it can effect more and more unlikely, outlandish things, until it hits the realm of the impossible.

Accepted on the grounds that Mask cannot duplicate absolutely everything something it emulates, otherwise it'd be pretty easy to abuse.

Yeah, she's not gonna copy the infinity+1 legendary sword of holy light, but she can copy a regular sword, so she'll have to rely on the paladin's innate abilities/bluffing.

Whoa. Been a long time since I've played in one of these. Let's hope I'm better at it now. I also hope there's still room for this character.

  • Name: Jacinta Rojo
  • Age: 21
  • Gender: Female.
  • Appearance: Dark in general, and not particular tall, yet slim. Her hair is long, and she almost always separates it into two parts when tying it back. She has small dark eyes, and usually dresses in dark blues. Her clothing is usually ratty, as she keeps it around fairly long, and her hairstyles always give an unkempt feeling. As such, she always appears somewhat gloomy, even when smiling. Wears glasses for farsightedness.
  • Personality: She generally holds to the attitude that the world is made up of good things that cause bad things. As such, she views most people as misguided. However, this does not make her more tolerant of wrongdoing, only more understanding of it. She is relatively confident in her skills, but when it comes to social interactions, she is uncomfortable around people she does not know, and does not try to make friends past the first few. She can be bluntly honest at times. The events of her childhood have left her distrustful.
  • History: Born in South America. She had two other siblings, a brother and a sister. Their father was abusive, and their mother didn't interfere. Her sister, the eldest, bullied her siblings to be accepted. Jacinta grew up as the odd girl in town. She studied engineering and began to work simple jobs to help support it. One night, she left, and moved her education elsewhere. She had trouble affording it, however. Eventually, she wrote back home to ask for funds. Before her family could respond, however, she got the chance to leave the world.
  • Skills: She has a good understanding of machinery, but is not so good with software. Metalworking in general proved to be a specialty of hers. She also plays the guitar, and has some understanding of most other instruments. While she hasn't practiced shooting much, she is better than normal at far shots. She has good climbing speed as well.
  • Domains: [Sight] This domain is focused around perception. At first, it's mainly focused around not being fooled (seeing through illusions and darkness), detection (sensing heat and magic nearby) and just enhancing senses. More advanced techniques do the same or opposite to others (for an example of the opposite, illusions and vision impairment curses). While some level of foresight is possible (although maybe not at first), the more she can affect something, the less she learns about it.

[Weather] Allows the creation of blasts of wind and hail (and, at sufficient power, lightning), as well as affecting the local weather. The latter is affected strongly by the subconscious. So, while if she were powerful enough, she could make a conscious choice to bring out the sun, it would be far easier if she were genuinely happy.
