Just keep adding them to yourself and your Skell 'till you reach 600 evasion. I think I had one augment slot left on my on-foot body when I reached 600 evasion (with 3 frame augments and one armor augment used up).

Alright. I made two evasion Augments for my Ground Gear, and got my Skell evasion up to 413.

I figure if I make one more Evasion Augment of the right type, I might make it. I'm going with a Boost Evasion Augment for my Skell Armour.

That should do it. It's just gonna take a while to gather up the materials. In the meantime, I keep collecting Reward Tickets as well as an option.

Triple Post.

Still short on Evasion. Now up to 486. Need one more type of Evasion Augment. Going for another ground armour slot to pull it off. Gonna get a Evasion Drive XV, rather then Evasion Drive XX. That will put me over. I've taken too long with this, and now I'm even splitting my time between this game and Twilight Princess Wii U.

I want to take care of it, finish off the last few quests, and then be done with it. Maybe I'll come back to it some day, but I'm gonna be busy with all the other games I still haven't played yet, so I doubt it.

I wonder if I should eventually go back to the game and push for 100% completion. I certainly loved it enough to warrant it.

Of course, right now I'm busy with Pokemon Moon, Undertale, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, Final Fantasy X/X-2, and both Fate/Extella and Kingdom Hearts 2.8 come out this month.

...Right. I got my evasion up high. I got the Appendage breaker augments (and I did break the tail), but I'm doing so little damage that it's make no difference.

How do I kill this asshole? Is there anyway?

What do I need?

You just need to be patient. You literally cannot one-shot the Telethia without resorting to insane builds that are way too complicated to explain. Give yourself enough time and you'll defeat it. If you aren't getting killed, that's all you need to overcome it.

Well yeah, I have the Evasion Augments, and I've got the Appendage breaking Augments, but I burn up most of my reward tickets to get them, which means if I want to get anything else, it'll take even longer to do it.

I'm barely putting a dent in it's health, AND it's healing itself faster then I can harm it.

I may have to try this Deus Crusher set. I'm just wondering how many centuries it will take to gather up the materials for it. I'm sick to my stomach of grinding for tickets and materials. I wish I'd known this when I was still playing the story (and thus discovering stuff nearly constantly), because then I could have used the tickets to get what I needed earlier.

I'm pretty close to just giving up, and moving on to other games that I'm only not playing because I want to finish this first.

It's same thing as Apotheosis in Fire Emblem: Awakening: I'm putting the time into trying to finish, and still no closer, using up materials that'll take forever to gather up and then having to do more fucking grinding when it doesn't work.

I just want it to be done.

I'll try this Deus Crusher set up. If it can let me take out a significant chunk of health quickly, I'm all for it. Unless there's another strategy I can use with the Ares (which can't use any other weapons mind you).

That's kind of the point. That's why you need to take advantage of Global Nemesis runs. You do have multiple Ares 90s in the air, right? Having art cooldown augments may help too; I put three on my agni gatling weapon and I can rely on it to breach the Telethia's decoy aura.

We ought to keep in contact; I can certainly help you farm global nemesis appendages to get you the tickets you need. I can harvest all the appendages within fifteen seconds, maybe less, per round.

I admit. I have not been doing Nemesis runs. I don't play early in the morning and miss Telelthia Plume quite often. I do do Yggdralith Zero when I get the chance, but I don't get many tickets from him.

Being able to trade more stuff would help. I'll keep your suggestion in mind.

I actually only have two Ares 90's (for Cross and Yelv). If I need more, then I guess it's time for more grinding materials.

I guess the real problem is I don't want to be playing every moment just to grind. It just doesn't feel worth it when it takes so long. I got other things I want to do, and other games I want to play, but time I take for that means I just take even longer to get what I need to finish him.

Anyway, I'll take some time to think about what I want to do.

I solo'd the Telethia with an Ares 90. I don't remember my exact augment layout but I had some Ultrafauna Slayers and enough Ether Resistance to make its attacks do 1 damage.

I should have gotten those Ultrafauna slayers. Now if I want them, I gotta do at least a little grinding since I blew the bulk of my reward tickets (because it was taking too long to get the last materials I needed).

I find four Ares 90's more universally applicable than beast slayer augments, though that won't matter much to you since you plan on quitting after all this.

Remember: Miiverse has announcements on its page whenever the Global Nemesis is out (which is handier for Telethia Plume than it is for Yggdralith Zero since you can track the latter via that circle on the squad select screen).

Funny to note, I think the Telethia Plume spawns are fixed at Monday and Friday.

Really. I work most of the time Mondays, but I'm free Fridays. It must be early mornings (for me) because I don't catch it very often.

So yeah. I guess I'll go with getting two more Ares 90.

That means I gotta start building up both Reward Tickets (and I'm down to over 1000) and materials.

More fucking grinding. Huzzah.

I wouldn't worry about catching the Telethia Plume too much; Yggdralith is where the real gold is. And it's a lot easier to track down.

This is fair.

Thing is, even though I break a lot of parts from him, I don't seem to get many tickets.

I've tried fighting him multiple times like with Telethia Plume, but I've never been able to. Maybe because I try immediately after fighting him the first time. I don't know.

Double Post:

So after checking materials for the Ares 90, it turns out I'm pretty close to having enough to make two more.

I'm short a few Upgraded Lenses, but those are easy enough to collect, and I only need a few.

That just leaves the materials that can't be gained without Reward Tickets: The Golden Yggdralith hearts, Silver Vita cores, and Crude Neilnail masks. So I'll still be ticket grinding it seems.

After that, I suppose I'll also need to grind materials to buff up the evasion of those Skells as well (I only got enough evasion augments for myself really). Maybe once I do that, I can finally kill this dude....though I'm still considering getting that Deus Crusher. It might be easier.

Silver Vita cores and Crude Neilnail mask can be farmed from the time attack boss missions but that isn't really recommended. I only did that because I didn't have a stable net connection at my place for ages.

The upside is that I've gotten really good at killing bosses in the time attack mode. XD

Yeah. but fighting those dudes can be a bitch as I re-call.

I might keep that in mind though.

So it occurs to me that the Skells kinda remind me a bit of The eponymous Guymelef (the name for mechs in that series) from the old anime Escaflowne. The biggest difference being that Skells have ground forms why Escaflowne could become a flying dragon.

Not super relevant; just something I found humorous.

Edit: And now the gauge for Yggdralith Zero is full, but it's not available to fight in the quest list. Am I missing something. Maybe there's still a bit left, and it's just too small to see.

Started this game over again, because lol fuckit why not

... Is it just me, or is The Way used really oddly for most of its appearances? It's a really pretty song but it's absolutely not the one to use for when Elma and Lin explain global missions to you.

Anyway, did the Global nemesis multiple times (both Yggdralith Zero and Telethia Plume) and make quite a few tickets, but I still got a long way to go before I got enough to get the last two Ares 90 Skells I need (and then I still need to get more augments to buff their evasion).

It's a hell of a thing to be honest. I may just go with three and keep one non Ares Skell. I think I could be ok with three.

By the way, are there other blue and green arts for Skells? The ones I do have seem to be pretty low level.
