Damn. No Slaughter. Selene is Disappointed

"Well that was a bit anticlimactic." Selene said casually. "Well it was fun I must say, Queen Alice. I guess we should be going now."

Yesssss

He nodded in silence, regaining his full breath for a moment. Then, he straightened himself up, still serious. Serious, but somewhat appreciative, judging by his smile.

"A Remington might be a warrior, but he is also a protector first and foremost. That much I can say at the very least, Your Majesty." He spoke, laughing. "Thank you for the directions. We shall make our way there post-haste." Regaining his flair with a fancy bow, Remington joined Selene in making their way to the temple.

...I feel relieved. And happy. Genuinely happy.

Minty Aoum

As the white had began to coil itself around Ao, she escaped by rocketing into the air by way of jumping and firing off her greaves leaving her a good distance in the air. She went heavy again, and dropped on the black head coming for her with a foot, aming for the back of its head and imparting several tons of force.

The Odd Couple

Ullioc's blast shatter the Deathstalker's skull-mask, and James' parry deflected the Grimm's tail. Now the monster was twitching blindly as its vision was robbed, wobbling on weakening legs as it left itself open to a killing blow.

As Tezca and Amy neared the temple, they would see that it was a gray ruin leading downwards to the sunken remains of a massive stone colosseum. Before the threshold they would see a sign.

It said "Wisdom is an essential companion for a Hunter. One must learn the wisdom in patience in order to find the right time to strike."

The gate to the temple was shut, as if it was waiting for something before it could open.

The King Taijitu's black head was stunned by Ao's blow, and it would remain so for several seconds. However, Mint had been knocked against a tree, and the white head was rearing back to consume her for stripping away some of its scales. From where she stood, Ao could see the flesh beneath the Grimm's scales thanks to her partner's efforts.

MAREN AND MECHA

A beowulf slammed into the ground in front of Maren and Halle. A tall man wearing a brown cloak and a dear skull helmet walked out, he was barehanded, though one of those bare arms was made of steel. He pointed at the Grimm. "You can kill that." He told the duo nonchalantly. The figure cracked his knuckles, before examining his robot arm, which didn't seem to have any sort of additions to it.

Thank goodness for Aura. The blow knocked the wind out of Mint and she struggled to her feet. She shook it off reasonably quickly though; she wouldn't be much of a boxer if she couldn't handle a single body shot. Unfortunately, she didn't like what she saw — the white snake head rising up to consume her. She bided her time, catching her breath and waiting for the key moment when it was about to strike, then sprinting forward inside its range to steal the initiative with a rising uppercut, staggering monster and exposing its wounds.

Vroom, Vroom.

Realizing the Deathstalker stagger back and vulnerable, James quickly stabbed Sunset down through it's skull, hoping to end the fight right then and there.

Marvin grimaced as he swept behind the limb as it came down, swinging his high frequency, lightning charged claws into it, intent on cutting it in half.

Slime

The slimey Grimm seemed...amused, if it could be amused. It lumbered slowly towards the two girls, its tendrils whipping around. One of them grabbed onto Natasha's body, wrapping around her and squeezing her roughly. Another one whipped at Lena, trying to knock her away.

Bat Country

The Bat Grimm noticed what was going on...and suddenly dived down to attack them after they dropped.

TREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESOME

The tree screamed at Connor and Mefus as they attacked it. It whipped its roots and branches around, smacking them around and sending them flying away. The damage to the tree was obviously taking its toll, as it was stumbling around now.

Tezca's feline ears twitched idly in thought. "If it's alright, maybe we could exchange information about ourselves?" He suggested. "Since we are partners, it would be good to know more about one another."

Ullioc painfully picked himself off the tree. He groaned a little bit.

In all honesty, his pride was hurt more than he was.

Armor and Automaton

"Nice job, Suzy," Isabelle said to the gynoid with a thumbs-up. Then she saw the dark structure in the distance.

"Hey, over there! It looks like we're close," she said as she rose into the air towards the temple. "Come on, let's not waste any more time!"

Tree Flung

Taking the smack with cletched teeth Mefus backflipped and sprung back into the fray. Switching the ammo for the sidearm from fire to ice dust and shot into the wounds inflicted by Connor before she made her way to the other side. She flipped and landed feet first on a tree on the other end of the clearing and than sprung forward aiming shots with her side arm at where she previously shot the fire bullets. Most of them missed, but after a few hits she got a lucky hit where the ice and fire collided, and like most times where you mix fire and ice at high speeds, it exploded. It was a smallish explosion, except that it was just big enough to hit the bullets near by that started a chain reaction of both the ice and the fire up and down the tree. Guessing what may happen next, Mefus high tailed it back to the woods as soon as it started.

Rock Monster

"Why do we have such bad luck today?" Morgan said as she fired at the rock monster.

Slime Time

"Ah, Shiznit!"

Lena freaking hated slime. Had hated it since Johann had that brilliant idea of...ugh.

The tentacle that came close to her was sprayed with some of Victoria's Ice Dust, then she ducked out of the way and ran to rescue her partner.

She attempted to slice up the thing holding Nat.

Rock and Roll

The monster blocked the bullets with its huge hands, bellowed and charged at Morgan, attempting to smash her face in.

The White Temple

Selene and Raggy would soon find the temple. Hell, it wasn't exactly easy to miss. It was a simple old-Mistrali style affair made of white marble.

Also, it was flying. It stood on what seemed to be a platform. A high tech platform with Dust engines.

Yeah.

Spider senses tingling!

The spider's front legs were torn clean off, but it backed off a few feet.

Stupid Skewered Scorpion

...Well, either way, after driving Sunset through the Deathstalker's head and twisting the blade around for good measure, James sighed and pulled the blade out before heading over to check on Ullioc, a bit shaky on his feet.

"Y-You alright, p-partner? Nothing b-broken, I hope..."

Rock, Man.

Iris then quickly tried sending her drone to fire at the beast's fists, switching it to Trance mode and having the tendrils lock on to the fists.

"M-Morgan!", she yelled, "Look out!"

Groovy

"Well, this looks plenty exciting." Raggy said, grinning at the sight of the beautiful Mistrali building floating about. "Shall we?" He addressed Selene, gesturing to her floating ride.

Ao and Mint

Ao noticed the soft spot on the white head, and also it becoming rather dangerous to her partner. A dead partner wouldn't bode well for anyone, so she kicked sending a dust round right at the soft spot.

White Palace

"We shall." Selene said simply as she hopped onto Nightrider, trying to open up enough space for Rags as well. When he had hopped on she would fly up towards the temple, onward, towards adventure.

"Nothing injured besides my pride." Ulkioc replied, rubbing his back a little.

He cracked his back.

"We should keep moving. We're bound to find it somewhere."

Teamwork

James smiled a little and nodded before turning around.

"Hopefully. Although at this rate, I think someone else will have probably beaten us to it. But...best to try and find some other people as well either way, right?"

Nat was wrapped up by the slime and lifted up into the air, she tried to shoot her guns at the tentacle, blasting it with small barrages of paint bombs.

Morgan flew away at the last second, hoping that the rock monster would run into a tree.

Aspiration

"We'll probably find the rest of our team there too. I think that's how it works?" Ullioc replied, walking up to his partner's side.

He yawned a bit.
