Just a Face and a Caption: The Hedonist

Image is JAFAAC. It doesn't show him doing anything hedonic. Hedonism Bot is always a good choice: [1]◊

This one never got opened...I prefer the suggestion to the current, but wouldn't mind seeing some more options.

This is why I think the approval system for IP hurts more than it helps. Either suggestion is an improvement.

I'm always for Hedonism Bot.

I dont think just getting pampered really gets the trope across.

I like hedonism bot for how decadent he looks.

It's not just that he's getting pampered. He's gold plated, reclining on a couch, getting smeared with chocolate icing by nubile servants. That's the picture of decadence to me. Still, can we at least agree the current has to go?

The current can go. 3 looks very spoiled to me.

Getting a pampered treatment like that does not make a hedonist the person has to want it and believe that the pursuit of pleasure is is the meaning of life and are usually willing to do anything for it even kill in extreme cases. If anything the pampered thing is the goal of a hedonist.

I tried to find something from Dynasty Warriors with Dong Zhuo, who's whole character is his pursuit of pleasure to the point of toppling an empire to do it, but all I can find are quotes that do not work for pictures.

• "I'm one step closer towards living my life of pleasure!"
• "Each day, I grow even closer to my dreams of paradise!"
• "I get my paradise if we win! If we lose... I don't want to think about that..."
• "I will realize my dreams of indulgence. I am more than willing to sacrifice these people to do so."
• "My life... of pleasure... gone..."

In extreme extreme cases heck yes, hedonists go to great lengths to gain pleasure. Hedonist leaders regularly killed in history to gain power and pleasure some have even caused empires and dynasties to fall, heck those suicide bombers being promised 72 virgins and such were hedonists.

As I said before the image is what their goal but does not show a hedonist trope itself which is their desire to have that as a goal.

Edit: A caption stating that could work like 'Possibly a Hedonist's life dream' or something could work actually, although not all Hedonists want that, Harem Seekers for example want something else but are Hedonists too.

I would support it with the right caption pointing out that it is a hedonist's potential life goal to live like that.

I like it, but the page quote is from the same scene. I support the above caption but suggest the page quote be swapped with something else from the Quotes page; for example:

Not too fond, but sure, better than nothing, I suppose.

If Hedonism Bot does end up being the pic (and it's sure looking that way), I'm fine with rodney's quote suggestion.

I'm sure we could do another Hedonism Bot quote.

I'm pulling the clock and starring the thread. Consensus is pretty strongly for Hedonism Bot, so I'm good to put him up...can someone take care of that, please? Thanks in advance.

I'm also in favor of swapping the current page quote for the aforementioned Frank N. Furter quote and possibly using a shorter bit of Hedonism Bot's dialogue as the caption, if there's one that works.

The dialog doesn't work for me as a caption, that should be a Hedonist's goal in life really need to live it and get angry and possibly violent when its taken away.

Something like 'A hedonist's life goal and addiction' might work but could probably be spiced up though.
