Does Not Illustrate: Balloon Belly

I have no clue what is going on in this picture. Can we find a simpler version of a character with a huge belly after feasting?

Since this is a subpaged trope, I'd be fine with moving it to the Video Game subpage (a bigger version would be nice).

Incidentally, having not even played this particular Mario and Luigi, it's readily apparent that Luigi's eating food in the left panel and is ballooned up while doing his belly flop in the second.

A bigger version of the current pic might fit for the videogame subpage, but finding another image is an idea as well.

The current image is a bit busy, but in exchange, it shows the subject's normal condition, the act of eating, and the aftermath all in one image. It's plenty illustrative. (Though, like others have said, a bigger version would be better.)

Incidentally, it doesn't seem like any of the subpages currently have images. Should we start looking to fill those out? The idea is certainly simple enough to illustrate.

Either for the main one or a subpage, there's always Luffy literally blowing up into a balloon after eating (or after just inflating himself).

• [3]◊ from Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (may need cropping, also full-sized image is way too big)

• [5]◊ from Fat Princess (personally i doubt about this last one; it is fat but not ballon fat)

The internet makes me feel dirty for searching images of fat people

I love that P&S pic.

I would go with either 8.3 or 8.4.

I prefer 8.3 since you can see the food in the image. The others don't really make it clear if the Balloon Belly is from suddenly eating a lot or if they're just fat in general.

I've unclocked the thread and hooked a crowner.

This one's ready to call. Here's a couple of takes on the winner; which do you prefer? I lean toward the second.

Also, given the nature of this trope, finding something "medium-agnostic" would be problematic...use this on the main page or leave that one blank and put this on the Anime subpage?

Yeah, second.

I find that the style is relatively in between eastern and western animation, so putting it on the main page doesn't seem like a problem for me.

The second one's up on the main page and tagged; caption work can happen in the repair thread. Locking up.
