Her weakness is sometimes she gets wrong behavioral attributes from animals along with the abilities.
I wonder if we will see that happen.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureDidn't she almost miss the battle that got her into the Justice League because she was busy thinking she was a bird for a while?
I could definitely see that being played for laughs once or twice, at least when we see her in Arrow.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Heh. I can see it now actually:
Oliver: So I take it things have been going well?
Mari: Well, you see that's why I'm here. I've got the hang of the powers quite well. At least the physical side. But....well.....
Oliver: The mental side right?
Mari: Yeah. Sometimes, I think I'm bird. And then there was that time I channeled a Skunk......
Oliver: Ok. Say no more. I actually know somebody who can help on that I think. Dabbles in magic and the like.
Mari: You're kidding me? Is he good?
Oliver: Last time he was here, he restored my friend's soul to her body.
Mari: 0_0 (Looks over at Felicity, Laurel, and Thea. All three just shake their heads to say not me).
So, if she channels a spider, can she make webs? We saw he cling to a wall before, but I'm kinda wondering about the Webs. I've also read that if she channels a Dragon (which is an earth creature in Comics) then she can breath fire too.
Come to think of it, she's incredibly powerful; The Mega Manning thing was a one time affair when Anansi buffed her powers, but she's technically not limited to just normal earth animals. Mythical creatures should be on the list as well. I understand her powers are limited in the comics to whatever animals are nearby, but all animated incarnations seem to—rather wisely—ignore that.

One Strip! One Strip!Reminds me of Daine the wildmage in tortall books. She had a hard time remembering her human self while being an animal/ channeling an animal.

Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersGiven that the first season was basically one episode split into five pieces, I hope they didn't overextend themselves this time.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I'll take what I can get. I'd LOVE 5-6 20 minute episodes, but if all we get is 30 minutes total, I'll settle for that—not happily, exactly, but it's better than nothing.
Got a degree in Emotional trauma via fictional characters aka creative writing. hosting S'mores party in Hell for fellow (evil) writersConsidering the plan for another 30-min. episode being split into six parts is going again, I can't get too excited.
I do wonder what they'll do for her story next. I just hope they keep the crossover factor to a minimum and let her be on her own for most of the time.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).An image from the Gotham travel guide has popped up online confirming Vixen's existence in the DECU.

Just saw every episode so I know everything there is about Vixen for her guest appearance on Arrow tonight.
It's really neat how Vixen's origin was told, hiccups about anansi the spider aside. While i think that was Carlos Valdes reprising as Cisco, it's a shame they couldn't get Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell as The Flash and The Arrow.
EDIT: Oh, it looks like Gustin and Amell did do voice-acting. I couldn't tell it was them.

I didn't know where to post this. It is in the same universe they announced a new animated series called Freedom Fighters: The Ray which will air on CW SEED.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureReally didn't see this coming at all, but I'm glad for that. I'm hoping CW keeps experimenting with heroes like this.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).So...no discussion on Season 2 even though three episodes aired already?
It's pretty good.
I guess a lot of people want to wait for what happened last season where they put all the episodes from that season into one 30 minute episode.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureVixen is coming to Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD
Seasons 1 and 2 will be combined into one package called Vixen: The Movie and include 15 minutes of never before seen footage.
15 minutes is half a season.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureHeh. So The WB is currently airing the full Vixen movie as I speak.
Well, I'm watching it on WGN right now.
Mari sounds so gleeful when the Gorilla starts to help her. It's hilarious.
One Strip! One Strip!Vixen will be appearing on Freedom Fighters: The Ray, with Megalyn Echikunwoke reprising the role.

Hey, the CW-verse hasn't completely abandoned Mari as a character! Sweet!
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
Yeah, she can only channel one animal power at a time in the comics too. She can switch as soon as she needs it, though, so it's not that bad a problem.
In the comic her powers eventually get stronger and she starts Mega Manning her teammates, though iirc as she doesn't tell anybody about it and this results in them getting slightly weaker or something it nearly gets her kicked off the Justice League.
I think if she does something with claws she just gets magic claws (or her normal fingers become able to cut things).
