NOTE - Report bugs along with your browser/version, operating system/version, and device. There are thousands of these combinations, and most bugs right now only affect certain combinations.
Tropers - As you are probably well aware by now, we've made a ton of changes to TV Tropes. Although most of the changes you see are primarily cosmetic, we are also part way through a complete overhaul of the backend code. With so many changes under the hood, it is entirely possible we broke a few things. If you find something that does not appear to be working correctly, this is the place to report it.
Please note, this thread is for BUGS only! If you have an idea, wish, or anything to say that is not related to a bug, please do not post it here. Those things can all be posted and discussed on other threads in Wiki Talk or the Tech Wishlist.
The more information you can provide about the bug (e.g., browser, operating system, etc.) and how to re-create it, the more likely we will be able to squash it.
Happy Troping!
EDIT: Here are some things that have been reported:
- Login issues
- Logins not sticking between devices
- Some people are still having issues with dropped logins.
- You can't log in if your username contains a space. Remove the space.
- Javascript: Your device must be able to run Javascript from tvtropes.org, static.tvtropes.org, ajax.googleapis.com, and netdna.bootstrapcdn.com. If you are blocking any of these, lots of things won't work, like editing pages.

I've noticed something annoying, though I don't know if it's a bug.
The drop-down menu (with "Edit Page" and all) doesn't work until the page is fully loaded. That's fine on most pages, but on large, slow-loading pages it proves quite frustrating, especially when all you want is to e.g. go to the discussion page. Before the redesign you could just click one of the buttons on top without waiting for the page to load.

Loving it so far. But the "edit reason" box at the bottom of any Edit page is practically invisible. It's OK once you find it and it works just fine. But it really needs to be outlined more clearly to make it visible to the naked eye! Otherwise you tend to stab hopefully at the page with the cursor....
Something I just saw: The YKTTW main page has all the text offcentre to the left .
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSpeaking of YKTTW (and I don't know if that has been brought up) but the text in spoilers has been boldfaced for some reason

Yes, I saw that too, but now it seems to be OK.
Get rid of the walled gardenOn the wiki pages, there are numbers on the bottom left corner of the page. Are those the character numbers?
Indeed they are. There were a couple of requests to bring them back so we did.
I take it the numbers below those are the amount of wicks then?
Oh, good! That's a great addition, thanks!
On IE 9 (Yes I know, IE...) using the search field at the top loads then returns a blank screen, with a brief "flicker" of the search results. Attempting a reload does the same.
Direct linking to tropes works perfectly, just the search function seems broken.
I believe Chrome has the same problem.

and I suspect that might be a javascript issue, since nearly all my problems are js-related, and I've had that issue since the redesign (and, very rarely, before the redesign). Since the new site went up, though, Google search on this site (but not a regular, off-site Google search) is almost entirely nonfunctional because of it.
EDIT: I don't think I've reported this yet, for some reason, but in addition to the text in History pages being black on a very dark blue background (which can be band-aid patched by highlighting the text), I also can't highlight text in more than one of the boxes at a time. This makes it very difficult to compare the original version of the line with the edited version, since only one can be legible at any given time. Right now my workaround is to copy and paste the text into notepad, but that's really clunky.

So, I'm pretty sure the page isn't supposed to look like this.◊ (okay, can't seem to post a link to a picture for some reason). Specifically the buttons are presumably supposed to look like buttons and not ASCII/Unicode/whateverthoseare boxes. Did a quick searh around the issue, opening posts looked like they had anything to do with buttons/images looking weird, but alas, did not find out what is wrong. This is happening on all computers I use, they all use firefox and noscript, but all scripts are allowed in tvtropes.

Fixed the link (for the second time). You cannot directly link images.
I think you are blocking the domain that serves these icons.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI've turned off everything in my browser now that affects site behaviour, but still can't see any buttons. I've not conciously blocked anything, obviously, and anything that should be able to block websites / domains should be turned off. So this ones got me scratching my head. The site does work correctly on Internet Explorer though. Could you tell me where the icons are being hosted from so I could try searching the domain from ghostery, noscript etc?
Ah, Noscript. Check under "blocked objects".
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynmanbootstrapcdn should be the source
You might want to fix the layout of crowners viewed directly through their URL instead of being viewed through the forum thread they've been attached to.
Look at this crowner to see what I mean: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/crowner.php/SingleProposition/MusicIsEighthNotes?open=all#jj2ina7l
(No, I'm not attempting to advertise the crowner for my YKTTW. I'm filing a bug report.)
I can't remember if this has already been posted, so: On the fanfic review pages, all the reviews links take you to the page to add a review, even the ones that list reviews.
At the risk of starting to sound like a broken record, and acknowledging it's not technically a new code problem, has there been any official attention to the e-mail problem I mentioned in this thread?
TLDR: Password reset and new account confirmation e-mails aren't getting through to some e-mail providers, and at least in my case I can confirm it's not because of being caught by spam filtering.
And on a subject that's explicitly related to the new code, is the larger text on the "edited" tagline at the bottom of posts intentional, and the old TVT way with the smaller text depreciated, or is it a problem?

Eh? The edit notification still looks small to me.
and I'm still seeing it small, as usual.
It looks the same size it always has to me.
Ah. Well I have bad news. I still can't edit.
Reg Shoe here. Currently more or less unable to use site or get into my account thanks to switchover issues. I'm not bitter, just British.
