Opened, although I'm not really sold on the suggestion.
Kind of too much people to see what's actually going on, and he looks way too happy about it for it compared to what you'd expect from the trope. I mean, sure, it's a valid reaction, but not exactly what makes for a good illustration of what's happening.
Check out my fanfiction!Yep, not sold on the suggestion either.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman"The scene where someone innocently opens the front door (frequently naked, or wearing boxers or something) and there's a raging/screaming/lusting/photographing mob on the other side. Usually the intruder then slams the door and looks around with shock."

That would work, if we neglect the nude angle. Perhaps the trope description should be tweaked to move the focus away from Bob being embarrassed for his outfit or lack thereof towards him being uncomfortable with the sheer amount of people waiting on the other side of the door.
Nudity isn't a requirement, though. I think his reaction is enough.
Check out my fanfiction!I am with you. Here's how I would phrase the first paragraph to make it more clear:
The scene where someone innocently opens the front door and there's a raging/screaming/lusting/photographing mob on the other side. Usually the intruder then slams the door and looks around with shock. Bonus point if the character is naked, or wearing boxers or something.

The webcomic suggestion works...2+3, 3 by itself, or 3+4 are all good.
The three different panel versions in comparison:

The two-panel version works the best.
Yeah, I'm with St Fan on this one. The two panel version works best.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.Definitely a two-panel version.

2 panel version is good.
Reaction Image RepositoryAs an aside, I feel like I've seen this trope with freezing in place about just as often as with slamming the door. If you're going to rephrase that paragraph maybe make it say 'Often..' instead of 'Usually..'
You Could Always Edit It Yourself, "usually" to "often" or "most" to "many" or etc, softening the claim, is a small and common change.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Clock is set.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYeah 11.2 is good and seems to be the likely winner.
Are there thoughts on a caption? It might be good to add a little context: looking at the webcomic, Paulus (the man opening the door) has just put out an ad inquiring about a possible bride, and roughly half of ancient Rome has shown up.
"Roving packs of Zeus' Witnesses will take the starch out of the hardiest of Romans."
Works for me.
Check out my fanfiction!Re-clocking; the 2-panel version of the B/W comic has enough consensus to run with, so it's up and tagged. Is there a wiki page to link it to? Also, how's the caption suggestion?
This page is currently imageless. What about this scene from Notting Hill?
