Joke disguised as a serious fanfic

Ok, I don't usually write fanfic, but I had an idea I really, really like...but, I'm a bit concerned about whether or not it'll make sense to anyone but me. Thought I'd run it by other people The basic idea is that the fanfic itself is played like a completely straight episode (a season finale, not a pilot) of a non-existant tv show. Specifically, a Frozen tv show.

The joke, however, is that the entire set-up of the show is basically made to force it into exactly the same format as the Aladdin tv show, but with the Frozen characters.

The backstory is that in the (non-existant) Pilot the cast needed Hans' help to locate the McGuffin that could defeat the first villain, so he was temporarily brought out of prison (spending the whole episode in chains), and the female villain hit Elsa with a spell that sealed her powers. Hans ended up putting the charm on the villain, and then betraying her, but Elsa's powers were only partially restored, and thus are nerfed. But, since he saved them, Hans is officially on parole working with them, as they periodically run around fighting evil in other kingdoms (and occasionally their own).

Like I said, exactly the same as the Aladdin show. The magic-user's powers are nerfed, and the charismatic villain from the movie saves everyone, so he gets to stay.

Now the actual episode I'd be writing would be about traveling to an alternate universe where things went wrong. In this Universe Hans overcame his brothers, and actually fell in love with Anna. So, he went to find Elsa with her (when this story is being told someone tries to make Hans feel better by saying that he stayed behind to help the people...and he promptly points out that he just did that to be popular).

In this alternate Universe, they meet up with Kristoff, who takes them straight to the Trolls. The alternate-universe trolls have a form of magic the regular-universe trolls don't: they give Kristoff a staff that can remove Elsa's powers, stopping her without hurting her (he's then to send the energy up into the air to dissipate).

However, when they got to her Kristoff turned out to be the evil one in this universe, and instead of sending the powers away, he sent them into himself, and used them to make himself king (having a "frozen heart," and thus no feelings in this Universe, he has more control than Elsa).

This, naturally, horrifies both Kristoff and Hans, the former because it means he has the potential to be just as evil as Hans was, the latter because it proves he could have made another choice.

So, the plot of the episode plays out with evil-Kristoff trying to steal regular-Elasa's power too, so he can expand his Empire to the entire world, while they try to get the staff to give alternate-Elsa her powers back (at this point alternate-Hans, Elsa, and Anna are the leaders of a rebellion).

Ok, does this sound like the most insanely over-complicated joke ever? Would anyone get it but me?

(and yes, the obvious plot-hole is why the alternate-universe Trolls didn't take away Elsa's powers when she was a kid, but presumably they were hoping she'd still get them under control)

Can't speak of your idea, but I'll move this to Writer's Block where people are more likely to notice.

At first I thought you wanted to do a Troll Fic, but yeah—that sounds a little too complicated on first glance. Especially since comparatively few people know Disney's Aladdin had a TV show.

0.o People don't know about that show? Wow, I guess I just assumed it was super popular because it was such a huge part of my childhood.

This reads like an actual episode of Once Upon a Time, which actually did have live-action Frozen characters this season. (Beware the Glurge and actual filmed crackfic played totally straight.)

Is this a joke? I don't see any kind of punchline or anything that would make it a joke.

@Weston: My intention was that it would come across as a spoof of the way corporations always try to use the same formula again and again...but, I think it may have been too subtle...

See, that could work, but you'd have to play up the "spoof" traits.
