A bit too far removed from the site's purpose, I'd say. And we already have quote pages
Yeah, that's not our business. Reviews are not germane to our purpose as a wiki. We allow them because they let users express their opinions in other places than the main articles. A professional reviewer has no more special standing here than any random troper.
Edit: As for quotes sections, we do sometimes permit reviewer quotes, but in general we'd prefer that the quotes come from the source material, not someone's parody or abridged series or review or whatever.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"Going to throw my headband in on the "no" side. That is supremely pointless, especially since reviewer opinions don't have anything to do with tropes.

Reviews are ultimately not the purpose of the site, but a collection of reviews might add something to an Audience Reaction trope. However, that's as a source, rather than as something we need to host here.
Check out my fanfiction! While it might be cool for work articles to link out to sites like Metacritic, IMDB, and so forth, it's ultimately in the wiki's interest to keep users on the site rather than going to other sites.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I can kinda see how this could be tangentially related to our purpose (there are some tropes/YMMVs that are related to reviews such as Even Better Sequel) but that's really weak. I think if you want to use a review as justification your your YMMV entry, you can either include a line or two as an embedded quote or link out to the review itself if you need more than that.
Considering how flamebait aggregate sites like Metacritic are I would be opposed to something like that. It just leads to gushing or bashing on work pages.
I have an idea for works pages (and feel free to say no, bit I think it's interesting). I know there is a section for trooper reviews, but I wonder how we can put this idea into fruition.
I propose we add "reviews" subsections reserved for excerpts from professional critics like in newspapers and TV shows, y'know, like those found on video boxes. They can be both positive and negative.
How does that sound?
