I'm wondering, what are we going to get into at the start?
Hopefully when there are five of us, not including kkut of course.
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.What. Not when :p. What will we do?
Try to come up with ideas on how humanity lives their lives out during the robot war and on the regions where the Artium is in charge.
Let me start off by suggesting that the remaining human governments are really paranoid and draconian in terms of security and things like respect for privacy and personal space aren't around anymore. While such a thing is deeply unpopular, it is a necessity because their enemies have nigh-unlimited forms, like a bird perched on that tree may be a scout, that itch you've got is actually a hive of nanobots that have buried themselves under your skin; broadcasting your current coordinates to nearby Artium forces, compromising your entire unit or even going as far as to have specially-made Artium infiltration units disguise themselves as your comrades, only to perform acts of sabotage behind your back or even go as far as assassinate ranking officers.
Also, magic-users might be kept not only as special forces; but also to teach the locals humans in case they prove to have the capabilities to use their brands of magic.

Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.Actually no humans native to that world can learn magic. Should any of them "develop" the ability, that would be a sigh the universe has lost major stability. Even then, to shape the broken reality one needs to exert great will during the early stages. As reality practically crumbles around them, mangling the mess would be a lot easier.
They would of started off with the weakest areas first, though did nearly kill off every world leader when their uprising began. It has only been fifteen years since the Artium Uprising, though some older humans would be compelled to keep what they can of their old lives. In addition, trying to force any sort of order over humanity would require making them fear the Artium more than any dictatorship. Course having no one to rule isn't helpful, and given the reversion to pure human labor the public ultimately has more power than any government on how their lives are led.
Though obviously the safest places would be the more paranoid ones, as the Artium really can do all that. In general, the Artium do tend to target authority figures that could effectively command others or serve as something for humans to unite around.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Considering what the Artium are capable of I'd say a significant fraction of humans are pessimistic, if not downright fatalistic, of humanity's chances in the war even with extradimensional assistance.
I'd definitely be one of them. I look at what the Artium can do and I don't think humanity can win this.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."So there's now a Roleplaying thread for this, if anyone would like to post. I'm currently relying on phone hotspots for internets so I didn't want to take too long making an opening post. If any of you have suggestions on what to do better, do voice them.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Let's just get going with the three of us.
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.Still the holidays, I've been busy keeping up with other R Ps and with family from out of state visiting.
Kkut, I did a bit of thoughts.
I'm going to ditch Commander Shepard and request permission to submit a seperate signup form for a powered-up version of Noble Six.
I have a much better idea for a second character.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."So Kkut, does the attack begin at your discretion?
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation. The attack already began, though some may not yet have properly realized that. Sure Sparty, go ahead.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Aye. Character sheets incoming, then.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."What I meant to say is, can I write up combat scenes depicting the raid? Like how Alector would just indiscriminately destroy and kill any humans in his way while the other Artium are more concerned with searching the sector for the Rift generator and some are even going as far as trying to get unarmed civilians out of the way.
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.Eh, fine, just don't really explain any of the other Artium's actions. Really don't want the P Cs establishing any major canon about them. Oh, fun fact, he's called the Divine Blacksmith because he designs new Artium and technology. Given the fact they're so dangerous...
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."My latest post is a WIP since I have to know if I'm going too far.
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.Well, you kind of made them seem too easily killed, even for a bunch of "sacrificial drones" (though sending out a bunch of lesser Artium to test human defenses does fit Divine Blacksmith's personality).
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."Easily? That was an Alpha Strike of anti-tank missiles, grenade mortar shells, artillery rounds, tank and AA gun shells. Not even a mech would be standing upright after that.

Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation. So, how about posting KK?
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.Well, I need to get my groove going first before making more detailed posts, but there's that I guess. So the majority of the "Artium" troops have been simple puppets, which only the Blacksmith and his Sub-Commander actually know.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."And the ones lording over the drones were also true Artium? And also, how sapient are the drones?
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation. He deems them puppets due to having programed them all specifically and made them with lesser, normally unused parts. Basically he uses them as Cannon Fodder, and while they legitimately believe themselves Artium they'll automatically cease functions once the troopship is out of range. What true Artium there is are sneaking into important locations within Bonn to destroy, such as outposts and the Rift Generator. Other units, like the Brute, serve as a portable network system in the event the drones get left behind or trapped in another universe so they can still try to aid the Artium. They're closer to being true Artium, but ultimately don't meet the standards of the basic Infantry Artium.
"The Omniverse is the collection of all possibilities, and all possibilities must eventually come to pass."I'm going to need more time to reload to one post before having something added in another
How Am I doing for a combat GM?
Foolish donkey, you would not be able to resist me if I wished your annihilation.
For those that didn't check the Signups, R.E.S.T.C.O.N is set on an Earth as their robotic creations the Artium steadily take over the world. In an attempt to learn more about the technology that made them possible, they invented the ability to open portals into other realities... Which is causing their own to slowly decay as they abuse it.
Anyways, I feed off of questions, so don't hesitate to ask anything.
