I dunno, man. Reflektor's pretty good, though not AF's best (that would be either Funeral or The Suburbs).
Another green world. And The Suburbs already won a Grammy anyway.
I remember people were really pissed off when that happened for some reason.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Because, at the time, Arcade Fire weren't as big as they are now. Now, they're probably one of the more respected bands out there, if not the most successful.
Another green world.Reflektor is good. But on pretty much every level I'd rather see St. Vincent succeeding. I mean that would kind of be the crowning achievement of an already fantastic year for her (what with her newfound relatively high public profile thanks to all her late night appearances and so on), and the album (also truly fantastic, though I think I still prefer Strange Mercy at least for now) really deserves it.
But yeah again I wouldn't be pissed if Arcade Fire won, probably a bit disappointed but then I'd probably remember that these are the grammys, I mean it's not like I've come to expect anything from these anymore. Kind of like the academy awards now that I think about it.
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.I'm expecting St. Vincent to be mainstream next album she makes.
Another green world. If she breaks into the mainstream without compromising the sound that she has now, that would be pretty damn astonishing in my eyes.
Not impossible, mind you.
You are standing in an open field west of a white house, with a boarded front door. There is a small mailbox here.Pretty close.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Can't wait for Iggy to win Best Rap Album when she doesn't deserve it.
Whew, this gonna be good.
I live in a constant state of fear and misery. She could very well be this year's Macklemore.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."At least Macklemore was being himself and wasn't putting on some fake accent that is trying so hard to be an Atlana accent. Her music is trash too so, there's that.
I live in a constant state of fear and misery.I don't like Iggy's music, but I will say that she made a very good point about Azealia Banks using Ferguson and such issues to start a petty beef.
Another green world.I'm not gonna say what Banks did was right but I feel like she does have a good point.
You can't use black culture and then go silent when issues happen inside that culture. That's messed up.
But yeah, Banks is the queen of petty beef.

I live in a constant state of fear and misery.Remind me who Azealia Banks is.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Azealia's a rapper that got a lot of hype from her EP 212 back in 2012. She's mostly known for starting petty "beefs" on Twitter. She isn't very popular with most hip-hop fans (the ones I know at least).

I live in a constant state of fear and misery.Actually, she's getting quite a bit more popular now that her full length dropped.
And while Banks may be right, I don't actually think she believed what she was saying as much as wanting to get beneath Azalea's skin.
Another green world. So is she actually worth something or just another crappy rapper I'd be better off ignoring?
I guess I should draw my own conclusions if she's getting into beef with Iggy bloody Azelea of all people.

To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."At least in my opinion, she's definitely worth something. Her behavior overshadows just how very very good she is. Think what rap critics wish Nicki Minaj was like.
Another green world. So like Kanye West then.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Uh...pretty much, yeah. She's nowhere near as big as him, though, but perhaps that's only a matter of time.
(She's also quite a good singer, too.)
Another green world.I was thinking the same thing.
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."Basically, yes. At any rate, she's quite good, check out "212" when you get the chance, but this is the Grammy thread.
I found out today that my music teacher's aunt is up for a Grammy. She's a rather famous jazz singer.
Another green world.Who is she?
To pity someone is to tell them "I feel bad about being better than you."For the record, since I don't think the full list was posted, [1]
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.My cousin has a friend who is the cousin of the Grammy-winning artist Lorde. I don't know if they're distant cousins. Inevitably, everybody keeps asking this cousin of Lorde about how Lorde is doing with her career. This cousin of hers always respond with something like "How in the world do I know? We don't even know much about each other."

Her album's by far the best out of the five but I doubt she'll win, yeah. I mean it's the grammys we're talking about here.
But yeah we can always dream right ? St. Vincent best alt. album, Bey artist of the year and Aphex Twin best electronic album...
