Street Fighter V

Alex actually isn't a pro wrestler, he just uses it as a style. He's a literal Street Fighter who uses wrestling.

Can I just say how much I love that Street Fighting is a legitimately recognized profession in this universe? Because I fucking love it. It's so silly.

IIRC - depending on how canon his story mode in that game is in comparison to other characters - Honda officially met Zangief while wandering around Bison's base in Alpha 3 (the last time the series made a serious effort to make as many characters as possible plot important).

Since there's not too much reason to doubt Fuerte's first meeting and subsequent fight with Gief in IV (or the invitation Fuerte gives Zangief if he wins), I'd buy Honda meeting Fuerte through Zangief at least.

So it would go: Fuerte and Mika both know Zangief, but not necessarily each other (so far) -> Zangief knows Haggar (who is retired from wrestling) and Honda -> Honda knows Hakan.

The only wrestler who doesn't have an "in" into the group so far is Hugo, unless for some weird reason Hugo and Poison still keep in touch with Haggar after the Mad Gear fiasco.

Curiously, her critical cart might be combo-able. Might be a reset, they bloody paused and backed to the menu, so we can't see the combo meter.

It's definitely comboable. You can clearly see it in other matches, notably the traditional Combofiend Vs. Mike Ross squash. I'm really curious whether or not it in itself is a true command grab with combo potential or merely a strike into autocombo/"hitgrab." Mika's V-Skill powers it up, we know, but that means little to nothing on its own...

Can't really find any hard confirmation on its status, at least with the brief Google glance I just took.

She already seems to have plenty of hitgrabs, it would be fit to reason that her Critical is one as well.

Ryu's is for Gamestop, Cammy's for Best Buy, Bipson's for Amazon, and Chun-Li's for PSN or the PC version.

The bearded Ryu looks kinda nice, and M.Bison looks like some commisionaire from Warhammer 40,000

Hobo Ryu certainly looks tempting.

Hel looks like the Karate Hobo he was always meant to be.

Also, Chun Li's legs don't seem as ginormous as they were in Streetfighter IV. I like that, even though they are still pretty big.

I dunno. They seem about the same size, it's just that they're not as muscular this time around.

That must be it. While I can appreciate the Amazonian Beauty trope, I think they went out over the top with her legs in IV, so it's good they toned it back a bit.

The more footage I see of Mika, the more I feel like that she's the character I'm going to be playing the most, but right now that depends on who else makes it into V.

Ryu looks awesome, even if his costume isn't as different as the others. He also kind of looks like Chuck Norris.

Cammy looks a bit younger in her new outfit. It's okay, but it seems like it was just made as an excuse for her to have her chest exposed. Either way, I'm loving the hair.

Bison's doesn't impress me as much. It's cool though; maybe it'd be something he'd wear if he actually succeeded in his plans.

Chun Li's appears to be a variant of her SF IV dress, so it feels familiar to me. I like the little touches it received, as well as the fact that Chun has her hair down. It's also more than likely the costume I'll receive should I pre-order this game.
Regarding her legs, they appear to be just as they were in IV, just not as muscular (and to be honest, I think the thickness of her legs always changed from game to game, even in the 2D fighters).

IIRC, back in the 2D days there was a bit of dueling between artists/character designers over what Chun Li should look like, so the size of her legs varied more.

Nowadays the design is more standardized, so her legs are more consistently gigantic and are unlikely to stop being gigantic for a long time.

Didn't Alex used to be in the military? I think that's why he has the boots and headband, going for the Rambo inspiration.

R.Mika's move list

I saw the designs for Ryu, Chun Li, Bison, and Cammy. Pretty sweet. Bison's Bizarre Adventure, yo.

R. Mika confirmed talks character specific trash talk on the mic. In the Gamespot interview, memory serve me right, around minute four, if you listen closely to the game, you can hear R. Mika talking about Ryu not wearing shoes.

For some reason Chun-Li's boobs deflated for almost ten seconds in the Beta, I love Good Bad Bugs. Not sure how did I trigger that though.

It's a known thing. Capcom has acknowledged it and said they're fixing it.

Actually the known thing is the exaggerated boobs physics, rather than them deflating like they ran out of air.

What do you think is more likely to happen?

The issues with Karin get resolved so she can return or The EX cast gets reintroduced to SF proper?
