I'd generally suggest that you pitch trope ideas to YKTTW, but they get all googly-eyed over things like this and I'd rather not start something that will just have to be killed.
Stock Phrases are not tropes. If you think there's material in a stock phrase for a trope, dig into it and find out what the actual trope is: Trust Password, Something Only They Would Say, A Simple Plan, Secret-Keeper, etc. Then develop that trope, noting any stock phrases that are associated with it.

"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"No, I was more about the overuse of that phrase in the media. But in that case, I don't really see it working.

Edit: Not that I necessarily recommend making one. It would be subjective as all hell and a complaining magnet.

Since we have a No New Stock Phrases rule in effect, I wanted to discuss the matter before taking it any further.
A friend of mine noticed today that the phrase "I needed someone I can trust" or similar (generally the "someone I can trust" bit) has become particularly common in various TV series. Does that constitute it a Stock Phrase already? The mechanism is fairly simple, an unlikely choice of character, followed by the question why and the "someone I can trust" response.
