While I know Lovecraft stuff is meant for it, I'm not sure how to roleplay in the 20s or 50s. And I don't think Vampire works so well beyond the 90s. So that's my vote.
I'd probably just use the same character.
Flesh is a design flaw. That's perfectly fine by me
Either the twenties (before the thirties and all that mafia business really kicked off) or the fifties would probably be best. Possible interest, btw, though I'm not sure my usual brand of quirk ™ would be quite suitable for the tone of this RP. I also don't have much experience with Vampire: The Masquerade, so there's that.
Is this gonna have the usual "You have attracted the attention of a Hound, hand in your character sheet and roll a new inspector" routine that Co C roleplaying games have?

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialConsidering our characters would be vampires, not ordinary humans I think we'd have a better shot. Timewise I vote for anything but the Fifties.
Trump delenda estYeah, agreed.
Good to be backSomething around the twenties sounds fun, though more modern 90's or such is also good.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”So, I'm thinking we'll set it in late 1990's New England then. I'll try to get the startup thread going soon.
Sounds good. Maybe you should clarify the overall setting/the relationship between the Masquerade and Cthulhu settings in it? And any overarching plots, heh.
“Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?”I'll work on it, don't worry
So, as I had stated in the GM thread, I had an idea for a crossover of the Cthulhu Mythos and Old World Of Darkness, but I'm unsure of what time period to set it in initially.
I definitely want to set it in New England, probably centered around Boston and including other nearby towns in the region, both directly from Lovecraft such as Kingsport and Arkham, but also from other sources set in Lovecraft Country places such as Derry, Castle Rock, and Silent Hill. along with real-life New England places such as Providence, Burlington, New Haven, and of course, Boston.
We'll start out with just humans and vampires playable, but as the RP progresses, I may include the other gamelines (specifically Werewolf, Mage, and Changeling).
The key issue in building my RP is the time it is set. I know the where, but not the when.
What historical setting should I use?
I'm thinking we will NOT use or acknowledge the infamous Old World of Darkness metaplot at all, and I am thinking all thirteen major vampire clans should start out playable. As for humans, I'm not sure if cultists should be playable or not.
