This page doesn't have an image. May I suggest Marceline from Adventure Time? She's drinking the color red out of a strawberry. A caption could be "A vampire drinking red instead of blood" to help supplement the picture. Or something not boring.

Opening, but I don't see how the suggestion fits the trope.

If there's a larger version of that pic out there, that might work...I'd like to see some other options before giving a solid [tup].

That's not a bad example, but I'm worried people might not get it right away.

I personally can't think of any other examples that would make good trope pictures, can anyone else?

I'd just assume that as she's draining the strawberry, it's turning gray to show it's lifeless.

^ If she was "draining" the strawberry, then it would shrink and shrivel up.

First result for Google Searching "Natsu Eating Fire"

I like the Marceline suggestion, but going through the examples, Fairy Tail seemed like the most likely to find reliable example.

Yeah, when you juice fruit it doesn't turn grey, because that is simply the color of the fruit. But if it being a fruit is a problem, here is her sucking red out of a bow. Only thing is it seems less clear what is going on.

If it were animated, it might be something, but it's a little hard to tell what's going on with the still image.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

The problem I have with [up][up][up]'s suggestion is that fire is a perfectly tangible thing and not abstract in the slightest.

Also, I like the suggestion in 4. If Marceline was specifically hungry for the fruit, I would expect the strawberry to be partially chopped off from a much stronger bite with more emphatic mouth/jaw movements. [tup]

These two may literally be more bark than bite, but they are no less tenacious than everyone else.

Yeah, fire is not an abstract concept at all.

I'll give a vote to the colour vampire.

A helpful caption would be helpful, too.

Clock's way overdue, and there's nothing here with enough consensus to run with. Locking up.
