Maybe so, but I'd think it'd be worth it to see Batman go up against Crazy Steve.
I don't know. On the the one hand, it wouldn't be a fair fight by any means, both in terms of actual power levels, and of actual quality. On the other hand, seeing Crazy Steve get ripped a new one by All-Star Supes would be strangely cathartic. (And let's get Bonkers Betty in there while we're at it.)

It'd be a competition to see who blows his deadlines the most, Jim Lee or Frank Quitely.
Keep in mind, The Dark Knight Returns is in the same 'verse as All-Star Batman.
Though I mainly want to see Miller's verse in Convergence just to piss him off.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page.Kingdom Come was my first-ever comic and was given to me by my late uncle. Cream the Millerverse, KC!
It would be interesting to see where this goes and whether or not DC is planning on combining the old universe with the new universe. But I doubt it since DC seems to be trying so hard to get away from the old universe.
I love animation, TV, movies, YOU NAME IT!>But I doubt it since DC seems to be trying so hard to get away from the old universe. >Entire 89 book event about old dead universes still around >trying to get away from them
That's DC's tragedy ever since Crisis on Infinite Earths. It always tries to pull away from their previous universes, only to keep going back to those elements just as quickly. Trying to keep their cake and eat it at once it's long been their thing, no matter how many times it doesn't work.
Logically speaking, the Nu52 must be either a doomed universe or a bad future. How do we know this? Wonder Woman and Superman are together.
It's not surprising that one of the last two Kryptonians would pair up.
Hey, it's not really that bad, or at the least, it could be made to work. All the way back in 1986, Squadron Supreme paired Hyperion and Power Woman, which were Marvel's Captain Ersatz's for Superman and Wonder Woman respectively. Amazingly enough, it works, though admittedly, there were quite a few things that happened along the way in order to get there. (For the record, Hyperion dumping his Louis expy in lieu of the entire Squadron abandoning their Secret Identities; an evil version of Hyperion sucking the lungs out of a literally old Steve Trevor expy in order to get jiggy with Power Woman; Power Woman falling in love with the evil version of Hyperion, thinking he's the real Hyperion; the real Hyperion getting blinded in a battle with evil Hyperion, and becoming more emotionally vulnerable as a result; and finally, Power Woman realizing that she only loved the evil Hyperion because she truly loved the real Hyperion, and forcing herself on Hype until he reciprocated her feelings. ...Somehow, describing it makes it all sound more forced and contrived than it really was. (Honestly though, if you read it, it does all come across naturally. It's all in the telling, in this case.)
I hope Johnny DC appears.
Like, he basically becomes a deus ex machina.
third week the villains are mostly from tangent. so we got pre-flashpoint vs flashpoint pre-zero hour vs kingdom come and pre-coie vs tangent im guessing the 4th set of books will be about the golden age heroes.
Ambush Bug will be in at least one part. DC, you've won me over. I'll search for the collected editions at the library.
Dammit! That means they are going to destroy the pre-New 52 world.
And then we're going to have to wait like 10 years for writers to revolt and bring it back.
Please help out our The History Of Video Games page. It's really the first thing you should have expected from DC.
Fucking Bob Harris man.
well yeah. i dont see how anyone could think for a second they were gonna bring pre-flashpoint back permanantly. this is just to be filler, celebrate dc's histories before the reboots, and to give closure to pre fp earth/
celebrate dc's histories before the reboots,
Always keeping in mind Current DC's idea of celebrating its legacy is slaughtering it.
I find it funny that the company that has had characters with continuous publication since the Golden Age is the one that is doing a far worse job of using it's legacy to support it.
Not really? I mean fuck convergence has Ryan Choi in it who was dead pre-flashpoint. If anything its come out ahead. I dont see how they are slaugthe ring anything. The old versions even still exist from the last 3 reboots which is more than coie and zero hour gave us
The fact they keep reviving the characters they keep slaughtering first (and even so, those characters end up borderlining In Name Only afterwards) doesn't negate the fact they slaughtered them in the first place. It's just current superhero comics are trapped in this never ending cycle of deaths and revivals that somehow manages to cheapen both death and life.
they really havent slaughtered anyone post-flashpoint though. or no less than immediatly before with stuff like cry for justice. like you are all acting like dc was better pre-flashpoint when for the most part it really wasnt. yes the quality isnt as good in some ways but its better in others
The story will go into the All Star Batman-verse, meaning it will never be concluded.
