How is flying at adjustable height and far more manueverability than Pharah an "easy target"?
x4 She's still outclassed by most of the supports, especially now that she's unable to counter ults.
Also, it's funny that even if Mercy goes Super Sayain, she still needs to be out of line of sight (aka hide behind cover) to survive.
Probably talking about Widow. Met one whose sole purpose for the entire match was to snipe me, as usual, so I gave her a pistol to the face. Who knows, maybe Mercy's hitbox increase during Valkyrie?

I love the new Mercy. Previously I would rez 3-5 people in a match, tops. Now rezzing 7 is very low. Keeping everyone alive, like I previously played her, is now way easier.
Unless your teammates suck. Our Reaper died 3 times during my ultimate and I kept reviving him for nothing.
The thing I couldn't do (hiding), is now no requirement to play her well anymore.
Mercy is currently a must-pick in Masters+.
I mean, she was already by far the most played hero (primarily one-tricked) in all ranks other than GM, but now she's just too good not to have on your team.
The tempo that she brings now is absolutely insane. Not killing her means she can swing fights in an instant, and smart Mercys will know how to best utilize her rez ability and ultimate. She can negate entire pushes if a single person on your side dies while she can just rez a pick your team might of just gotten.
She's certainly not unbeatable (no more invincibility on rez for one), but she's incredibly difficult to play against now if your team does not counter-rez as well.
I'm with Anti; I always had to struggle not to just waste my Rez on one guy, so the new version suits my style much better.
oh god I'm so damn happy.
I'm new to the whole ranked match thing, only got ranked for the first time yesterday, rank...2300+ i believe ? Tonight we went to play again with a couple of friends. We got several defeats in a row, andd ended up around 2090 IIRC. We went for one last game before going to bed, on route 66. Did my usual shtick to play junkrat for the defense.
Pot G with an ult who killed 4 people as they were starting a push on the payload, followed by a team kill. 4 gold medals at the end of the round.(we stopped the team right before the last point).
I don't like to be the one who brag about how good he is as I'm clearly bad as hell(or at least got so much more to learn), but just for once : Wanna see what destruction looks like ? Here it is, in human form, IT'S YA BOI JUNKRAT !
Our attack went really smoothly, we won without much trouble and I really wouldn't have expected it considering 1) we had no tanks and someone else picked 76 and junkrat (the two guys I usually play in attack) and healers (so no lucio for me either) so I ended up playing reinhardt (played a lot with him... at the time I just got the game and was playing with a controller on pc. And was never good with) 2) the enemy team went for bastion + mercy.
Wasn't as good than with Junkrat but I got a few decisive kills and Solo ulted the one person standing between us and the victory at the end. Through a zen's transcendeance.
went back at rank 2186. Fuck yeah I need more days to end on games like this.
"when you stare too long into the abyss, Xehanort takes advantage of the distraction to break into your house and steal all your shit."Honestly, if you're complaining about how much you can kill as a healer, then you're not really focusing on healing.
Basically my life as a Zenyatta.
The DPS bloodlust has made me forget to press shift from time to time.
Uni catHad a tragic mistake turn into a massive win when playing Rein today. Route 66 on defense, meant to firestrike at their door and hit charge by mistake. Managed to somehow pin and kill the Pharah just as she exited the door, turned and bashed the wounded Mercy, and firestrike-d the Junkrat down for a triple and managed to scramble back to our lines and healers on 20 hp.

Apparently, the Winged Victory and Oni skins are temporarily out of use due to some voice-related bugs(?). You can still see the skins on hero selection screen and on Hero Gallery, but in-game they are replaced by the character's default skins.
I can confirm that for the winged victory skin.
Yeah, tried that with Oni Genji in FFADM. It really did revert my appearance back to the standard skin.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!I like the new Mercy rez.
Mainly because yesterday she rezzed my Hanzo right as the enemies Genji's head was perfectly at point blank range on my crosshair by coincidence.
"Hello brother..."
"You can reply to this Message!"I think because Oni made it so his ult call-out didn't trigger (since he got a new one) and so no one would realize that Genji ulted. And you know that Dragonblade is already obnoxious as it is.
Uni catFunny way to spell "Sentai skin".
Unfortunately, in most games the best defense and utility is offense—dead enemies aren't causing any damage that needs to be mitigated or healed. I'm going to try a few games using her ult to support the team—it doesn't change the fact that everyone completely discounts a Mercy player's ability to support her team in favor of how many kills she gets with her gun. And her new ult is a fantastic way to score those precious gun kills.
I played deathmatch for the first time the other day, caught the window just before the weekly reset. I prefer team to old fashioned deathmatch. I also completely forgot that they had some mini-maps for that mode; are those the only maps used?
"But don't give up hope. Everyone is cured sooner or later. In the end we shall shoot you." - O'Brien, 1984I'm gonna be honest - and not trying to sound mean with it - I don't know of a lot of players who look at a Mercy and go "oh good, she's here to shoot things".
That's the entire reason the "Mercy's pistol does a surprising amount of damage" is a meme in the first place. A Mercy with good aim can wreck non-tanks with ridiculous ease.
Hitokiri in the streets, daishouri in the sheets. Her damage output is the way it is because if she gets caught alone then she isn't immediately a lost cause and can fend for herself, and that needing to lead the shots makes it a much more viable option when people are chasing you rather than the other way around.
Also like if you don't wanna shoot as Mercy just, don't use her gun and don't leave your team too far behind. It's a pretty big non-issue.
For Bastion fans
I had a really fun time playing as Mercy on FFA.
I mean, she was a pretty funny Lethal Joke Character as a pick on Deatmatch before, but now with her new ult, I can rack in a lot more kills. I was actually winning one match, but of course there were "not enough players" all of the sudden with 3 minutes left and I needed 3 more kills, so the game got disbanded.
Dying to a battle Mercy is still one of the most embarrassing things that can happen to you, after all. Yes, even after the advent of Valkyrie.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!I guess that would explain why I aggro people I've killed previously so much more easily as a Battle Mercy.
"Valkyre makes them an easy target".. isn't that kinda the point? After all, given how rez now has extremely limited range and no longer grants invincibility for Mercy during its casting, I'm pretty sure that was intended too. Like how you can absolutely get killed while ulting as Pharah, McCree, Roadhog, etc..
You can construe it as a way to potentially punish arrogant Mercy players who suddenly thinks they're Pharah with an infinite ammo blaster instead of an RPG, or as a way to prevent her having a guaranteed escape button. Either way, I'm sure the whole point of this rework was to force Mercy players to take more risks and play less safely. Valkyrie's basically made to make Mercy proactive during team fights, and if the team goes down she should too.
It is what it is, and we have to adapt to that. But frankly, at this point I'd be really pissed if they somehow nerf Sound Barrier or Transcendence, the two remaining "true" anti-teamwipe ultimates.
