Overwatch

My favourites are those that just go "DEFEAT" right away and you are wondering what the hell happened.

Probably godawful players; remember, some poor soul was so frustrated with the poor quality of their team that they just up and left.

That, or a DC right at the very end, but I doubt it....

I've had a DC right at the end of the game before. It was kinda absurd.

Also, who the hell leaves right after the first point gets captured? The second is always way easier to defend.

Usually when blame gets thrown around in their direction. I leave too in those circumstances. I don't need this shit in my life.

And sometimes you can't do shit in a match. Get to the front and get killed by a sniper over and over again. Or be targeted by flankers as a healer. So I leave when the team gets time to regroup. I usually play during night time. As such I get pitted against high diamond and master lvl players on a semi regular basis. It's simply not fun to be completely outclassed in every possible way. Not for me and not for my team.

I hate being curbstomped and blamed way more than joining late. So I, for one, like this feature.

Thinking about it, i think that the potential next map we may get is Busan, South Korea.

Since D.Va is coming to heroes of the storm and she is getting a new skin, i guess it's time she got some spotlight. Plus, she needs a theme song, the other OW heroes in HOTS already have one.

Well, finally beat Uprising on hard. I thought the game was lost because I ended up with the same team that didn't even get inside the church, however I learned what the problem was:

Stop playing fucking Mercy because I'm garbage with her, then let everyone else carry me on Tracer.

Apparently there is a controversy about D.Va police skin. Tumblr as usual with how they believe D.Va shouldn't be wearing one and instead use a "Black Lives matter" shirt.

They do know that shes A) Korean, and B) a member of the military, right? I've got to say though, the Tumblr Overwatch fandom has always been pretty terrible with its Political Correctness Gone Mad.

One thing I've learned over the years is that if a complaint can be imagined someone somewhere on the internet is sincerely pushing that complaint. Doesn't matter how absurd or unreasonable the complaint is.

To me it's just the rules to truly large numbers in action. It doesn't mean anything on it's own and it's not even worth an eyeroll. There are people complaining about the Police D. Va skin because of course there are people complaining about the Police D. Va skin, if something came out that literally no one had a silly complaint about about, I would be astounded.

Yes, certain categories of absurd complaints are more likely to show up on Tumblr, but that's just because they are derived from worldviews that happen to be more common on Tumblr then in the general population. Go to a different platform and you'll probably find far more people who oppose D. Va's very inclusion into the game simply because she's an Asian woman.^note while simultaneously swearing that they are not racist/sexist and fooling no one but themselves.

It's Tumblr, duh.

Being surprised at this is like being surprised at Nazis on 4chan. Or targeted harrassers on Twitter.

I don't think this is anywhere near a serious push. Just someone being a prick on their personal blog. What's the point of complaining about some random person's fucked up views? It's not like there's a "Ban Cop D.Va" movement or some shit.

All these makes me want to unfollow the Overwatch stuffs in my Tumblr.... I mean, even as a Symmetra fan, I do get kind of sick whenever many posts about Symmetra are all about "She's great because she's autistic, just like me!" ............. I mean, it's great if you get a good representation, but that's... not all of her characteristics, right?

Replace 'autism' with gayness, then make up all gay pairs you can make, and you get Tumblr Overwatch community in a nutshell... (the good thing is that I never see any who goes Het Is Ew)

D.Va getting an officer skin is literally just saying that she's a member of the Korean military. It's like Chinese complains why the American government doesn't recognize Lunar New Year as an official holiday.

And yes, I despise a majority of the Tumblr's OW couples beside Rein/Ana and Mercy/Genji. Many of which I suspect the reason is "Because they'd be hot together." (aka Hanzo/McCree, 76/Reaper, Tracer/Widow)

I just ignore it. It's not worth getting worked up over and it only serves to undermine legitimate issues with representation by generalizing everything into an "SJWs are evil!" mindset.

I don't mind shipping at all (I love McHanzo, BunnyRibbit, Gency, and Sommetra, and Lenily seriously needs more love in the fandom), but I hate it when people try to make the fun hypothetical romances into political statements or the impetus for flame wars, or when people try to twist canon to make their couple of choice seem more "real." Why can't we all just look at the cute shmoopy fanart in peace?

I feel Pharmercy is not that great. Fight me.

Most Lucio-Symmetra stories got REALLY predictable I may start to get BORED on that. It's always going to be 'Lucio shoves Symmetra on the face how bad Vishkar is and then make her change and go dismantle them and admit their mistakes like she got her heart stolen by Phantom Thieves... Oh, him? He doesn't need change. He's already perfect.'

I don't wanna argue who's good or bad, but... yea, I got bored with this concept... Like we'll never see the possibility explored in another way.

Just an example though.

And don't get me started on how people like to think that S76 and Reaper are gay to each other. Wait until there's an official statement. Like Tracer. I don't mind Pharmercy either... until they start subjecting Die for Our Ship on Genji cuz he got in the way.

D.Va's been temporarily disabled because of a bug. You'll just have to go elsewhere for your mech-exploding needs until she's back.

I hope it's not long. D.Va mains are already not happy with the way she's been handled, balance-wise. This is just going to cause more ire.

I expected jokes on the official forums about disabling Pharah and Ana too, and was not disappointed.

Jeez I knew Blizzard hated D.Va but this is ridiculous.

This is the first situation in which the "LITERALLY UNPLAYABLE" meme is fully valid and sound...for obvious reasons.

Apparently, with the patch today that added the Nexus loot to the gallery, there has been cases where D.Va's presence in a match would cause the server hosting said match to swap to another map and restart the match, or worse, crash altogether. If this happened in Comp, all 12 players participating in said match would be kicked out and receive an (undeserved) triple whammy of -50 SR, a temporary ban from Comp, and a strike against said players that count toward the possibility of season-wide ban after enough leaves.

And she's back. Blizzard be speedy.
