hmm... I've always been a bit interested in a soul eater RP...
Might join.
Emphasis on might.
I'm certainly impressed. I'll try to make a characrer later since it's 4 in the morning over here.
Working on sheet. Give me a bit.
Even if a time machine was invented, and man discovered how to live forever, not a single thing would become more convenient.Well, I'm glad people are interested!
Does anybody have any questions or critiques? If anything doesn't seem to make sense or is hard to understand, I'll elaborate, because I kind of typed everything up late last night, and I don't know if I might of made an error somewhere...
I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.Would 2 Weapons wielding each other work?
I'm planning something with someone, and I wanted to see if that would be allowed
The weapons would have to have meister training, of course
"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"Hmm...I could see that working. I don't think anything in the series says that'd be impossible.
I guess I also forgot to mention autonomous weapons are allowed as well, as long as they aren't something crazy overpowered.

I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.- Name: Cail Raeson
- Weapon Form: Two bladed circles called chakram each attached by a long chain. The the circles have patterns depicting flames on one and wind on the other.
- Age: 16
- Appearance: Cail is about average height with a lean, athletic build. His hair is a dirty blond, messy and shoulder length. Cail wears cargo pants with two belts crossed over his waist in an x, combat boots, and a short sleeved shirt. Over it he wears a trenchcoat with the symbol of the old shinigami’s mask on the back. He also wears fingerless leather gloves.
- Personality: Friendly and well meaning, he’s not exactly the type of guy one would think to have been in and out of juvie. However Cail has a bit of a flaw, he just can’t resist a good fight. You give him a reason to fight you and he will with an honest to Shinigami-Sama smile on his face. He most often prefers equal fights, not wanting to beat up on people weaker than him, but he is fiercely protective of Helena, and will without fail try to beat down anyone who insults or tries to harm her, be they weakling or god.
- Cail's soul is pretty simple, representing his simple interests. It's rough and has three juttings at the top like his hair. It has what looks like an open ended chain from the back.
- Background: Helena and Cail both come from the same Youth Detention Center in Los Muertos, California. Helena was in for multiple accounts of theft caused by her Kleptomania, while Cail was in for multiple counts of aggressive behavior and fighting. The two of them came from the slums of Los Muertos, an area filled with back alleys and crime bordering a much brighter and healthier city. One thing brought them together, and joined them tighter than any blood relation could: survival. The two of them quickly became the close friends, a relationship only further cemented by the fact that both of them had a supernatural ability of their own. They grew to find a safe haven the Detention Center, since the threat of weapons that came out of nowhere instilled fear in anyone that might try to attack them. However, their forms did not go unnoticed by Shinigami-sama. Soon enough, Helena and Cail were approached with the promise of a “Reformation Program” at a place called “Death Weapon Meister Academy”. Finding no other options, they took up the offer and enrolled.
- Abilities:
- Chain-Roller Link-Up: Cail and Helena have the ability to be wielded by a third party meister at which point their chains link and their combined strength is increased. The two weapons join chains, removing the secondary object of each weapon, ultimately becoming a smaller chakri around a single gauntlet.
- Red Chain (Flow): While in his weapon form Cail can change the direction his chain goes allowing for unique attack angles.
- Soul Resonance (Chain Gauntlets) - Godhand: The soul resonance when Cail is acting as meister. Helena’s weapon form turns golden and the chains connecting the gauntlets wrap around Cail’s arms and back, making the power of his hits equivalent to the power of the chain’s at their shortest for the duration of the resonance.
- Meister Training: Cail can wield Helena as a meister which is the basis of their unique fighting style of switching roles of meister and weapon.

- Name: Helena L. Sullivan
- Weapon Form: A set of full iron gauntlets, attached by a chain in the middle. It counts as “one” weapon since they are permanently joined by a chain. The gauntlets are adorned with the words “Inferno” and “Paradiso” on the knuckles of the left and right fists respectively. They are a brushed bronze color, and heavily decorated with rivets.
- Age: 16
- Appearance: Helena is a few inches taller than Cail, and has a lithe build. Her blonde hair is short and layered, with slightly longer bangs hanging in front, adding contrast to her dark brown skin. She wears a skintight long-sleeve black shirt decorated with a white celtic cross under an open grey vest. The vest has a larger white celtic cross on it, with the old-style Shinigami mask in the middle of it. Her dark-blue pants are equally form-fitting, and kept on her body by a single belt with a large steely belt buckle with an engraving of gates on it.
- Personality: Helena acts like an older sister to Cail, despite them being the same age. She finds his attempts to protect her as hilarious (at best), and seeks to protect him instead. She is one to avoid unnecessary fighting. When she does fight, she prefers to take an analytical approach, which leads to her exclusively using the chain of her weapon form during partial transformations. She would have preferred to have Cail’s Weapon Form than her own. Helena may act nonchalantly, but she will analyze and overthink situations for her own sake, as well as for Cail’s. Like Cail, she can be friendly if she gets to know and trust someone. She has a strong hold on her repressed Kleptomania, but occasionally it comes out. When it does, she is ashamed and disgusted with herself.
- Her spirit has 5 “fingers” that come out of the main body, as if grasping for something. These fingers become more metallic as they go up, resembling more her weapon form. A chain dangles out of the back, ending on an empty link so long as both Helena and Cail aren’t in weapon form at the same time.
The two weapons join chains, removing the secondary object of each weapon, ultimately becoming a smaller chakri around a single gauntlet.
- Red Chain (Balance): Helena can alter the length of the chain connecting the two gauntlets. The power output of the gauntlets is inversely related to the length of the chain. That is to say, a miniscule length of chain equals to low movement ability, but higher strength, while a large length of chain equals high movement ability, but lower strength. This plays heavily into Cail’s fighting style.
- Soul Resonance (Chain Chakram) - Ophanim Throne: A Soul Resonance attack with Helena as Cail’s Meister. The twin Chakram change to resemble a set of wind and fire wheels, joined by a golden chain. Simply put they are a stronger version of the basic chain chakram. They can however, be spun at high enough speeds that they become a solid disc of color around the Meister.
- Meister Training: Helena can function as Cail’s Meister. This is primarily how they engage in combat. They use each other, switching roles at their leisure. Their fighting style is “switch-heavy”.

"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"Hmm interesting idea I'm only slightly familiar with the series though. I'll see if I can think up anything that sounds workable if there's still room.
F:41 S:0/30There's definitely still enough room; I'm thinking of a maximum of maybe 10 to 12 players, allowing for up to 3-4 teams, and even that's just a rough estimate. Should that go along well in the future, I may even up that limit.
In any case, take your time! I will wait either a few more days or until everyone who's shown interest so far has posted a character sheet before starting the main RP thread.
As for amporiousrex and Solus Lupus, your characters look great! Makes me want to add a little more detail to my characters, really. In any case, Cail and Helena are approved!
I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.Interest, I'll see if I can hammer out a sign up

EDIT: Would a weaponized motorcycle be stupid?

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialEhhhhh....I think that might be a bit too improbable. Out of all the things in Soul Eater, I think turning into an actual vehicle, even something like a motorcycle, would be slightly out-of-bounds.
I mean, your character could be allowed to have a motorcycle, at least. Just not a guy who turns into one.

I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.... But we have magic mirrors and guillotines in canon already >.>
EDIT: Nvm, got a Meister anyway.

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialYeah, that does raise a point, but then again they're also still actual "objects"— Tezca still needs a Meister to wield him and Justin Law turned parts of himself into a Guillotine since that's kind of a hard thing to utilize on it's own. A motorcycle though...
Hmmm...will you maybe go a little bit into depth about how it'd be weaponized? If you still want to, that is. I'm just finding it a little bit difficult to picture them working in an actual fight.
I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.Nah man, I'm cool. Had a better idea.
I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialAlright then!
I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.D'you forget about the dude who could turn into a freakin' ballista?
GIVE ME YOUR FACEwell a ballista actually is a weapon.
I can see a motorcycle actually
Like, they could transform parts of themselves into wheels, or an engine block or something
Granted, that's because it could be used offensively. see kamen rider for how that would work
I doubt there'd be something like... A toothbrush weapon
"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants"Rough draft ho!
- Name: Abigail Winchester
- Race: Witch
- Age: 16-18 in appearance, is however many years that corresponds to in a Witch's life cycle (so at least in her thirties, methinks)
- Appearance: No relation to those Winchesters.
- Personality: While not an anti-social girl per se, Abby’s way of interacting with other people comes off of as calculated and fake. She’s friendly and gives off Cool Big Sis vibes, but it never feels like she really bothers trying to connect with anyone. Instead, she does most of what she does alone. She eats alone unless invited, she takes frequent solo rides around town on her motorbike (on which no one else may ride), and her favorite pastime is reading. Not a terribly inclusive hobby. She does all of her work alone, and has no desire to work with a team or take a partner (it's this behavior which landed her in RIP). At times, one could be forgiven for thinking that Abby has a pathological fear of emotional intimacy with others. Despite her impressive figure, she tends to have boy problems on account of her being freakishly tall (almost 190cm). Her soul is purple with bat wings and a scar over one eye.
- Background: Abby was born in England to a Witch and a Weapon. Back before people were more tolerant of Witches (but not by much), their relationship was considered forbidden, and they were frequently the object of scorn despite her mother being officially recognized by the DWMA as a Meister of some renown. Her feisty mother and meek father were harrassed by the community without end, and even at a young age Abby understood them being together wasn't a good thing. Eventually, when the tensions between her mother and the townspeople boiled over, full-on Witch hunts began. If she didn't wish to have her license revoked and be branded as a rogue Meister at risk of becoming a Kishin, her mother couldn't feasibly fight back against the townspeople. So they ran. When the angry mobs finally caught up with them, her father took off and left Abby and her mother behind to save his own life, and save face. Abby's mother was cornered and was prepared to die, but when her daughter was threatened on suspicion of being a Witch like her mother, she did everything in her power to protect Abby, killing the townspeople in the defense of her daughter. While her mother was blamed for the "unprovoked" deaths of the townspeople and was forever remembered for the shame she brought to the DWMA, Abby found out that the corrupt priest who rallied the mob against her mother was a nascent Kishin. When she tracked him down on her own and killed him, his soul was bright red, redder than blood. She decided then and there that she'd become a Meister so she could continue hunting down evil souls like the one that killed her mother, all while working under the approval of the new Shinigami-sama. That, and to find her father, who was presumably still lost somewhere in the gears of the massive machine called the DWMA, so she can expose him as a coward who left his Meister to die and clear her mother's name in the process.
- Abilities:
- Flight: As a Witch, this goes without saying. In Abby's case, she uses bat wings to fly, although technically she levitates under her own power rather than the mechanical motion of her wings.
- Shapeshifting: Abby can disguise herself as another person down to their voice by covering herself with her wings and transforming using magic.
- Magic: As the daughter of a Witch and a Weapon, Abby has inherited her mother's magical talent but based most of her magic off of the Meister lifestyle, using magic to augment Weapon use.
- Witch Time: Abby slows down time relative to her and engages Bullet Time, allowing her to attack faster, dodge faster, and place more accurate shots for a short time (Witch Time consumes a lot of magical energy).
- Bat Familiars:
- Bat Bomb: Summons a fat, globular bat made of magical energy which can be thrown to explode in a shower of hot blood like a grenade.
- Bat Missile: The same as above, but smaller and faster. They can fly on their own or Abby can fire them from her gun.
- Memory Bats: Tiny bats that drink blood. Once one of these bats has sunk its fangs into someone, Abby can read the minds of the bitten and can see their memories. She can do this herself too, but she usually uses the bats (because biting people on the neck is awkward).
- Misc:
- Abby actually does wear blue lipstick, but only occasionally.
- Her favorite instrument is the guitar and she loves road food, especially deli subs and hoagies
- Her bats can (kinda) talk, and the biggest, chubbiest ones look like this.◊

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serialHmmm....Okay. For the most part the character is great!
The personality and background are fine and work out in my opinion, though it'll be a bit hard to keep solo in this RP. The abilities are alright as well, including Witch Time, given there's a limit to them(Like the Memory Bats, like how much can they read about somebody?). It's kinda difficult to think someone without a Weapon partner to really be considered a Meister, but then again she is a Witch and her magic augments the shotgun she carries so I suppose it works out.
In any case, Abigail Winchester is approved!
What would the alternate scenario for her background be though? It works well as is, even the rough-but-believable town-slaughtering, just wondering.
I'm a ghost, you didn't see me.Actually, the idea is for her to learn how to work with a partner, and eventually a team. That's why she was placed in RIP instead of EAT. Because you're right, you can't really be a Meister without a weapon.
Also, I was considering her mother being initially submissive to the villagers, but got violent when they tried to hurt Abby instead of just settling for her. Clearing her mother's name in this case would mean proving she did it to protect her, and not to preserve her own life.

SIGN-UPS ARE CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
ONLY EXCEPTIONS ARE NOTED IN THIS POST
Alright, so after thinking this through for a whiiiillleeeee, I decided to just ahead and make this happen; A Soul Eater RP! As a warning for those who have only watched the Anime, this loosely follows the end of the Manga storyline, though really as long as you know the general gist of the differences between the two, you should be fine. If you are currently reading Soul Eater, then this is chock full of spoilers so it would probably be a good idea to not read any further! If you haven't seen either but have kinda read up on a bit of it, and really wanna join in then you're welcome!
Set 100 years after the original events of Soul Eater, much has changed for Death City, as well as the special school that still lies within. Death Weapon Meister Academy (also known as Shibusen), a vocational institution that specializes in teaching its students how to wield and properly transform into weapons, has greatly expanded its initial premise under the new "Lord Death". After the events that had led to the confinement of the Kishin Asura within the Moon, a truce has been called between Humans and Witches. This has also led to the cessation of the ritual of producing "Death Scythes", Demon Weapons who had consumed 99 corrupt Souls and 1 Witch Soul.
However, in spite of the passage of 100 years, there still lies some prejudices and grudges between not only Humankind and Witchkind, but Monsterkind as well. The threat of Madness still persists, and Shibusen has been tasked with not only suppressing that threat, but keeping peace among the various races.
Though the Academy has more or less physically remained the same, It’s guidelines and regulations have greatly changed under the order of the new Shinigami-sama, ranging from relatively benign to highly controversial:
RULES
CHARACTER SHEET
Players are allowed one Meister Sheet and one Weapon Sheet, though someone can propose dual weapons if they wish to. If players want, they can also propose only a Weapon or only a Meister, then team up with somebody else in the sign-up thread. Characters must be approved before being put in play, of course, and all the standard rules of Roleplaying apply: Don't make your character an invincible, unstoppable god, don't take control of other player's actions during the RP, etc.
MEISTER
WEAPON
MEISTER
WEAPON
....So, here we go then! I spent a little while planning a good deal of this out. I hope the concept is solid enough and things don’t seem too overly complex.
Please post if you have any questions or thoughts on this and leave a Character Sheet if you’re interested!
