One for All's not really a supportive power and that directly goes against Deku's goal, though.
I mean, this series has been subversive in a few key aspects but I doubt "The main character doesn't accomplish his goal, but becomes content with staying on the sidelines most of the time" is going to be one of them.

That plus what did the last few chapters just go out of their way to cover?
If his mother's fears come to pass, too many will see it as a Jumping the Shark moment. The editors wouldn't allow it.
Deku's workaround will be imitating All Might's muscle form, thus increasing his power output".
It's basically an extreme version of sucking up your gut and puffing yourself up after all.

Formerly known as Bleddyn And I am feeling like a ghost Resident Perky GothOne thing ya gotta like bout Deku I now thought bout is that he has such wonderfully curly hair. Especially since its customary for shonen protags to have very straight & spikey hair.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."You just wanna put your hair through it.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Re: Midoriya's dad discussion from a few pages back, I think it'll be interesting to work the oneshot into the situation somehow. Like if his dad ever really does show up there'll be a nod toward the oneshot with him working at a similar company and being friends with Snipe or something.
Anyone read any of the author's other works? He's done four oneshots not counting the one the series is based on, and had two other, much shorter-lived series. I'm asking because I've heard the others were good to but they apparently catch on. I've seen people speculate that's why the pace is so fast, so he could get to the good stuff before they cancel him again.
If so, that's obviously not something he has to worry about now.
It's quite clever how he has All Might as basically a preview of what the MC's going to be capable of late-game. Because Shonen protags usually start slow and slowly build up to totally OP, but here we've got the previous guy still kicking ass on what is eventually revealed to be the fading echoes of the power he gave Deku.
Allso, keep in mine, he will be double all might's strenght in his prime in his own prime becasue of the power doubling effect of One for All....
We Are The World Smash, anyone?
Watch SymphogearI've read both of his previous series, and frankly speaking My Hero Academia far outclasses both of them in both quality and appeal. Wouldn't have guessed it would be Hori penning the Next Big Thing (thought it would either be Komi Naoshi or Kano Yasuhiro though Komi did get a hit with Nisekoi)
That's if Deku can make it to his prime without destroying his body; that seems to be where the story is leading to, a self-sacrificial part of Deku's journey.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I only read Barrage, and I whole-heartedly agree on that note. Completely forgettable.
I was expecting little from this mangaka's next project. Then it became this.
98 spoilers are out. Praise the mangahelpers.
Disappointingly, the dorms are single rooms, so no roomie antics. On the plus side, the rooms are bleeding with the cast's personality. Deku's room is pretty much an All Might's shrine, for example. The skull, death & darkness thing Tokoyami's room has going on confirms he is a fucking edgelord.
Aizawa isn't happy with the four man rescue mission, and states that were it not for AM's retirement, everyone sans Bakugo, Jirou, and Hakagure would have been expelled. I like this; they aren't smarting from their reckless acts just yet, but between this and the Inko chaps before hand, it's clear pulling this again will not fly at all
Chappie looks to be less of the previous emotional highs and more of a set-up. All that is fine by me.
The most important thing though is Bakugo lending Kirishima money for that night scope. Now I'm just saying; OTP.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018Chapter out.
For a sec I thought Bakugou mugged Kaminari. But he just used him as a distraction from his dere moment.
Calm down Mineta.
Secret SignatureHuh, whole class almost expelled
..Ya know, if traitor turns out to be one of students in the class, Hakagure just became like only possible one when you think about it since she is one of three who didn't know about Bakugou rescue attempt :D I mean, she seems most "normal"(claims she had problems with getting permission), her position is never easy to tell when bad things happen(due to obvious reasons) and if she did know about some of students considering rescue mission, she could have warned villains.
Dunno if author would really make one of students mole though. Still amusing that that theory exists

Tokoyami's room is the best moment, especially when he just fake-casually leans against the door to stop the others from seeing it.
I'd say it's a good time for a bit of slice-of-life and casual character interactions.
That was hilarious. Aizawa's all "I'm really pissed off at most of you and if it was up to me you'd all be expelled. Now have fun in your new dorm."
I just noticed that the girls stole the glases from Iidas room and are wearing them in Koudas room
Mineta needs to calm down that thirst.
Yea, this was kinda needed.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Hah!
I agree about Tokoyami as well. I especially like how Mina and Hagakure were trying to push him out of the way.
You know, with how no one actually wanted to see Mineta's room, I almost expected it to turn out to be totally normal...
One Strip! One Strip!Y'know, the idea of Mineta showing a girl his room put me in mind of Saturday Night Live's "The Continental" sketches.

I still expect the possibility that Deku might permanently cripple himself and will end up in a coordinating role in a team consisting of some of his classmates and he will return to using OFA as a Godzilla Threshold.
The way they handled the Bakugou retrieval and the fact that we aren't even half way through and are already facing a Career-Ending Injury are evidences to me. It would put One for All in a more supportive light, instead of a One-Man Army .
