And, to be fair, if we go off of certain philosophical and sociological viewpoints, reality is totally a subjective thing that literally nobody perceives in the same way. For all I know, nothing I am experiencing is being experienced by a single other person in the world. I could just be locked up in a padded room imagining my entire life and not even realize it.

I think we can all be Genre Savvy for specific situations. It probably counts less as genre savvyness as simply being able to correctly identify a given context, though.
Whatever your favourite work is, there is a Vocal Minority that considers it the Worst. Whatever. Ever!.
