Rainbow Brite reboot

It wasn't long after the MLP hype that other 80's property for girls would rise from the dead and copy what made Friendship is magic so popular. Rainbow Brite was always about Girl Power, so this can be forgiven.

Also, I never thought i'd hear Molly Ringwall voice a villain in my life, so this is something to keep on my radar at least.

In a halfshell:RB is back in a new reboot starring Emily Osment and the humor is pretty similar to FIM in some ways. What do you think?

Emily Osment is still in work?Haven't heard from her since Hanna Montana ended.

Looks like it be a decent show.Animation looks a bit stilled at points,reminds me of She-zow.

What channel is it supposed to be on?

They haven't said, but a company called Feeln is the main source of this reboot.

I guess this maybe a sign that Discovery Family will change into Feeln once this airs. Doubt it, though.

After looking at their site and the shows they have on it,I'd much prefer if feeln did take over Discovery Family.

I guess it has to be better than the underwhelming 2009 reboot.

Never watched Rainbow Brite as a kid(before my time) and knew nothing of the series til a year or 2 ago.

Wasn't the original show inspired by greeting cards?

Yes, same as Shirt Tales. This Rebooted look to Rainbow actually does remind me of another magical herione◊.

Anyway, this doesn't look bad.

I didn't watch the cartoon show, but I did watch the movie and I thought On-X was cool so I'm hoping he makes an appearance.

Sounds like the main villain is the Dark Princess again :D I always liked how she was a spoiled, bratty teenager in the movie and show. It made for a nice contrast to Rainbow Brite.

Its not going to hit that big. I'm calling it now that there will be accusations of ripoff and torches and burning buildings and crying children. That's the inevitable result.

Seconded... All because of the unfortunate precedent MLP set by people considering it GOD, when it is anything but...

Well, I'm surprised. It wasn't as annoying as the trailer made it look. Brite herself didn't get on my nerves either.

I feel like I'm liking the horse as a character. He seems to hold the show for me.

Only problem is the introduction. The pacing was way too fast. Other than that, glad they brought back Murky and Lurky. Murky's new design is off to me compared to the original but I'll get over it.

I still wish It wasn't exclusive to Feeln only. Please tell me someone "legally" uploaded it to a trustworthy site yet.

Either the pirate copy I found was missing the first few minutes, or the opening really throws you into it. They didn't make the total time 13:37 on purpose, did they?

Looking on Feeln, It's really 13:37 mins.

But we didn't even see Brian sit down in his easy chair before getting sucked into space like Howard the Duck! And that's not how you start a song!

Just check out Feeln to be real sure.

Same. I really wished the pacing at the beginning was better. Everything was brought up to speed way too fast but thankfully once the villain came in, things worked out.

Old Nick is up to his usual tricks again, I see?
