They're going to run into something they can't handle down there. Church will try and handle it and it'll tear him into tiny bits.
And then Ardent will befriend it.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Alice specifically did recognise Church, though she didn't know everything about him.
And the implication has been that most of the supersoldiers (which seems to be what they are) have settled into limited patterns/habits over the last few thousand years - Alice looking after one small community, Sedna wandering round a small-ish circuit and collecting guns, and Church maybe looking for local dictators who'll give his life its intended purpose as a Psycho for Hire. And if those limited ranges don't overlap, they just don't meet.

It's a smart question, it's also smarter not to let Pate have any more knowledge then he already has.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"I think this is a thing, but I don't know much about thingology. I'm gonna call a buddy of mine, have him take a look.
Yes, this is definitely a thing. Looks like it dates from before the apocalypse.
I'll give you ten bucks for it.
A spaceshippy thing.
Trump delenda estOh, shut up, you smirking bastard.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117"What's a britiin?" is my new fav qoute from this comic.

"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Not surprising that Alice and company don't need space suits but interesting nonetheless. I wonder if Gavia would have needed one if she still had her nanites.

Trump delenda estIt's a completely blind guess but I would guess yes since Ardent does too. Her nanites let her do amazing things but she's still not baseline (which as far as we can tell means ordinary human). Really, we don't fully know what she in her current state is capable of. Nor do we know what Alice, Gavia and Mr. Church are capable of. My best guess is they were some sort of soldiers left over from before the Blink.
Alice's traumatic memories and built-in battle armour, and Sedna's fond recollections of military hardware, certainly suggest left-over super soldiers, yes. And I mean, they do rather demonstrate specifically appropriate skill sets.
= Spindriver =I had this whole massive, rambling dream last night, and in one part I dreamt that there was an Alice Grove strip where Sedna was revealed to be Alice's mother.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Made me think of a Starbase.
Pfft, that's clearly Groot.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down........that's a bad sign.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117No, It's Groot's mom.
Functionally you're probably right.
Trump delenda estAG is on a break for convention stuff and "secret plans".
Dun dun DUN.
"Dun dun DUN" should be a trope, but I gotta go to work in a bit, so I'm not looking it up.

I wonder how Alice and Sedna both managed to go thousands of years and evidently never even hear about Church until now.
