This line was both hilarious, heartwarming and totally badass in the context. Way to go Akane. <3

I have to say, after this mini-arc, Genjirou is really an interesting character. His past really goes a long way in explaining his behavior in the earlier chapters. Not bad for a character who's schtick was initially just a lot of Overprotective Dad jokes.

A chapter completely serious...then Akari on the last page. The best thing is that she doesn't even feel out of place.

It's been awhile since I'm waiting for the series to finish/letting the chapters build before reading it in one go but-

Have you guys seen Bryan Lee O'Malley's Snotgirl? It looks like a good comic book from the guy what did the Scott Pilgrim comics, but I bring it up because the main character bears a pretty striking resemblence to Youko. Like down to the hairstyle and color of hair.

…From the description I can see what you mean. Green hair, chronic allergies, wannabe cool beauty. X)

Regarding Jitsu wa, we have 19 chapters left to do, if you wanna know.

The parallels are real, but the character design is just, like 1:1. Like, straight up Youko in a western comic.

How is it going? It has been a while since the last time I read Jitsu Wa (or the forums), around chapter 100, did an Archive Binge and I'm really happy how the story went on..

Well, I wasn't expecting that. Good to know that Asahi is a good dad, if nothing else. Also holy crap where did she come from?

I hope we learn more about Akane's backstory before the manga ends.

Well, that was sure something. What's her deal anyway? She's never really said why she's so dead set against trying to make Asahi fail.

Well, it's more like she thinks that he can't succeed… or that if he does, things will only get worse afterwards. It's a safe bet that in her long life she has seen at least a few humans like Asahi and it didn't end well for them. Or so I guess.

I suppose so. It just seems weird how gung-ho she is about it even though as far as I can tell it doesn't actually affect her personally in any way.

Chapter 181: Oka is having fun. Also, she's back.

…That was the first full-on comedy chapter in a long while. And it's glorious.

Took them long enough. We needed some silliness. Also I love how Shiho managed to identify future-Nagisa by her butt.

And with her skirt on, no less!

Chapter 182: in case you had forgotten Masuda was the master of Mood Whiplash. And the cameraman is kind of a douche.

Youko's reaction when she realized the truth about a certain someone.

Oh wow, that reveal was something else. You know it's serious when even Shirayuki is shocked.

And you know it's serious when even she takes pity on Genjirou. It's finally Youko's turn to shine… Well, 'shine'.

Why is Shiho wearing a bunny costume? Why not?

You know, I didn't even bother to ask that question. Because the answer is obvious: it's Shiho. Why wouldn't she be wearing that?

Also, I think I have whiplash now from all the mood changes.

Still, it's nice to see a side of Youko we hadn't really seen before. For once we see her have compassion for someone (who isn't Asahi) rather the other way round.

I love how Youko managed to make more progress in one chapter just by being nice (and stupid) than Asahi could with actual planning.

About time Nagisa showed up again. She was one of my favorite characters.

Not sure why Shirayuki would leave all the necessary tools to wake Akane up. >.> But yeah, it's nice to see Aizawa again… although she never really left, with her future self and all…
