Silvia activated her semblence to do a downdraft, trying to force the bird toward the earth.

"Ya crazy? Team killin' ain't mah thing even if these fuckers and their kilts deserve it."
On Al's command, Noa began rushing forward while delivering a barrage of burning punches. She was relentless as her fists shot forward in a flurry of flaming steel.
"GO TA HELL, FUCKERS! ORAORAORAORAORA!!"
Sechs, being the supernatural hunter he was, fucking booked it, grateful for all that time he had spent working on a slackline.
"WHAT NOW?" he yelled as he crossed the "bridge".
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Highlander Battle:Making Formations
Meanwhile Al watched while in a distance safe from the Grimm as Noa hit the horde and distracted them. He looked for a pair of rocks and other hard objects on the ground that he could use. Extending or shrinking each hard object carefully so it would have the hardness that the material should have if it was in this changed size. Each object was molded to bullet form, in a shape fitting for his pistol's barrels. Afterwards he pulled out a bottle of Kerosene from one of his pockets. It was something he usually held for lamps in dark places or in case he wanted to make something extra flammable. Like now.
After molding the objects into bullet form. The knight poured a bit of Kerosene on them, after which he put the objects into his pistols. Creating enough flammable bullets to fill in a few magazines and fire a barrage at the enemy.
Alfred walked closer towards his Second in Command. When he got close enough he yelled loudly so that she'd hear him even on the battlefield.
"Noa get to the most Grimm heavy area near you and set up the barrier for formation "Coal in Silk". Quickly!"

Mia's Birthday
Mia paused, thinking. "Just vague memories...bits of feelings. I know she loved me, because...well, that was what I kept clinging to the first few days. She called me "Little Flower". She had red hair...she was really beautiful, but I can't remember her face...."
She frowned, seemingly trying to remember more.
Twin Bird Strike
The frost bird crashed to the ground, creating one hell of a crater and scattering dirt, rocks and trees everywhere.
It thrashed around, but couldn't seem to get up.
Northern Invasion
The Tank monster breathed flames and reduced the thrown Cu Sith to cinders. It then roared in a surprisingly humanlike voice and tried to run over the people near it.
A group of twenty Beowolves split off from the group and charged straight at Alfred, and from behind him came five more Cu Sith...
Dreamshade!
Jack's attacks did absolutely nothing to the faceless hunters attacking him. As if he couldn't touch them at all. In no time flat, he was restrained and facefirst in the dirt...and then a sword was stabbed into his back.
The bear paused and looked at Ayers. Then it spoke, in a human voice.
"You are weak. You are prey. You are food. This is the way of the world. The strong live, the weak do not. Submit and accept your fate."
The false Alexia pointed her sword at Hope, but seemed to hesitate. Her face softened. She looked...disapointed?
"Is that all, Hope? Giving up already?" Her voice...it sounded like the real princess. Full of sympathy.
No. More voices.
Don't give up, you idiot. Her...friends?
We don't want you to die.
Memories. Playing video games with Sophie. Laughing with Alexia. Yun and his kind understanding. Imuka. Ayers. Belle.
We love you...
The Dreamshade roared in pain and outrage as Rheia pierced its flank. Snarling, the giant lion turned to face the girl, a rather sizable hole in its body.
Suddenly Arcana!
Marianne paused, lips pursed as she listened to their words. She was silent for a very long time. Shaking. In rage.
"Er...what's Cybernetic?" asked Becky innocently.
At that moment-!
Footsteps, from behind the group...
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism."M-Machines that are inside of you, that have become one with you" ,The fox answers Becky, until her ears pan to the footsteps.
...The heck?
Lucas, having also heard the footsteps, grabbed Frostbite and prepared to attack.
This is for the birds
Ieria saw the rockslide heading for them and quickly reacted, grabbing her teammates and vaulting out of the way of the oncoming rocks, using her greaves to move even faster. While she trusted Pius, she did not trust his power to try and stop the rocks from hitting them.
Once they were out of the range, she set them down and took a breath, calming herself and shutting off her semblance.
"I am nature's weapon. You are unfit to carry on your species, and I shall ensure that you do not do so!" - Charles Darwin, XCOM SniperBorder of Vale, Eastern Wall
As the Dreamshade turned to Rheia, a fairly large hole having been punched through it, she dropped the short sword body of Werkzeug, the plastic falling to the ground and shattering on impact. With only a light whirring, as if by magic another bow appeared, with a regular arrow this time.
"Yeah! Over here, fuckface! You think you can use my memories against me like that and get away with it! I'm going to make sure you never think anything again!" Disregarding her mother's earlier advice, she aimed for one of the Dreamshade's eyes and loosed the arrow - while it had significantly less power this time, she felt she wouldn't have time to use her Semblance. The arrow whipped towards the Dreamshade - both ends of the now-destroyed bow falling far short of the actual projectile's mark.

"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Now What?
Falken snapped out of being rather lost as to what was going on...to quickly getting in a defensive stance, Dead-On-Impact shimmering and covering his feet as metallic boots.
"...I'm guessin' whoever ya are, you don't know the meanin' of the word 'sneaky', 'stealthy', 'silent' or 'smart'." He casually remarked, not quite sure as to WHO was sneaking up on them, but he felt uneasy nonetheless.
Hope you weren't expecting anything witty here. Maybe some day.Frosted Feathers
When the Grimm crash-landed, Yun used his semblance to create several bands of force to pin it to the ground and stop its thrashing.
"So do we need to take a picture of it or something before we kill it?" He asked, keeping Skyfire trained on it.
"I have no idea, but I'm not taking any chances!"
Sachs made a small leap to the ground and turned to face the bird, weapon at the ready. The AP rounds had worked before, so why not now?
[forum cryptid: it/it's]Becky Group
Remus placed his hand on the handle of Volsung, ready to fight if need be. Arcana? Its possible...
I'm Back (To Rise)
Hope blinked. Something was wrong again, but this time... this time it was a good kind of wrong, however strange it may have sounded. The Dreamshade really hesitated, but... it wasn't to taunt her, to torment her.
For a moment, she saw an actual Alexia. The kind, understanding girl that was her best friend... and then the memories. The good memories came flooding in. One after another.
"...no. This isn't all." She shook her head slowly, as if still hesitating. But no, she knew now. Oh, she was so stupid. So doubtful.
"...I wasn't sure if... man, I feel silly now." She chuckled, shaking her head again as she looked at fake Alexia. "There are people out there that would really miss me if I was gone. My parents, my brother... My friends... I already went through something like this two years ago. People were freaking out about me, though I was too dulled to understand why."
Her voice has found an edge within, a tone of determination. "I... I'm not a beast. I made mistakes, I got some people killed... but I got better. My resolve changed. Now... now I know what I need to do." She pointed at the phantom, but this time her voice didn't shake with insanity. "You are wrong. I am a person. Not a beast, not a Grimm. I am Hope Remington and you know nothing about me, creature of the night." Her tone was on the level, calm and focused.
"...you played me to tell you what you wanted to hear, I will give you that. No more. At this moment, this folly ends. Combat me in the flesh yourself, on equal footing." Her last two words strongly accented, this was a completely different person from a laughing wreck just a moment ago. As it turned out, just a little bit of resolve was needed.
Arcana!
"Yo, Beacon kids!" The cheerful greeting from behind the students did little to mitigate that it belonged to a familiar voice. Star seemed to account for that, since he was dressed in full-combat attire. "Man, feels like ages. How were you been?" Observant ones would notice that he didn't have a left hand - or rather, not his normal one. The way it shone with a metallic glitter, it seemed to be a prosthesis.
"Paying respects, Miss Empress?" He greeted the fellow Arcana. Although his attitude was pleasant, that was unmistakably the same Star responsible for the carnage that was Umbra the 13th.
Big GrahMia's Birthday: Oh, if only you knew
"Little Flower," Ai repeated. She smiled. "She sounds nice. I'd like to meet her some day."
Ai removed her other hand from her lap to enclose Mia's hand in both of hers, though Charisse had larger hands so she could hardly cover them. With her own teal eyes, Ai looked Mia squarely in her red eyes on Charisse's face.
"I'll help you find her. Somehow. I don't know yet, and red hair's not much to go by, but I will."
Northern Invasion
"So it breathes fire. Nothing we can't deal with!" Ai said.
On the upside of bringing the thicker jacket, in addition to keeping warm, she also had a lot more room for bombs. Ai tossed an ice bomb at the tank monster's left front leg, hoping to immobilize it, or at least slow it down long enough for Charisse to make her shot.
"Glen, ice that other leg-thing!"

Northern Invasion
After chokeslamming another Cu Sith into the ground, Glen began heeding Ai's advice and quickly began feeding a belt of ice rounds into Tàrnach's feed. After a few seconds that felt longer than they should have, the Highlander raised the Gatling gun and began emptying the 500 round belt into the tank's front leg, roaring insults in both his native tongue and common as he did so.
Mia's Birthday
Mia smiled slightly, gently squeezing Ai's hands. "Thank you....Although, I think that would be rather hard to do."
A sigh.
"...Right...I remember...Mama's name...Mari..."
Twin Bird Strike
"It's down, let's strike now!" Alexia said, when she was sure that everyone was safe from the landslide.
True enough, the flame bird seemed to be incapacitated, barely moving as it lay on the rocks. Alexia unsheated Serena and blasted it with one of her Aura blasts. The bird was struck in the head and reeled.
The frost bird wasn't in better shape. In fact, it just...lay there. Was it...dying?
Northern Invasion
The Tank Monster roared in outrage as its legs/treads were frozen with ice.
And then, the part of it that looked like a human ribcage split open. There was a huge missile inside. Oh, boy.
Dreamshade
"Alexia" smiled, not mockingly, a sincere, kind smile. She took Hope's hands and kissed her on the forehead.
"You did it, Hope. Good work. Never forget what you learned. Now..."
"It's time...to wake up."
And wake up, Hope did, just in time to see the great lion swat aside Rheia's arrow with it's right claw and lunge, snarling at the Huntress, fangs bared.
Suddenly Arcana
"That's Commander to you, Star." Marianne spat out in disgust.
"Star, Fool, Tower...what are you doing here?" asked Mina.
"We...thought it wise to follow you, Priestess-sama. You might have been ambushed." The Fool answered, clad in his blue armor and wearing his helm. He seemed to look at the students.
"Becky. Mina. We're leaving." commanded Marianne.
"What?! But I didn't even get to play with them!" protested Becky.
Mina sighed and pulled her pouting sister away. Marianne turned her back from both the trio of Arcana and the students, silent as she walked away...
Nothing is what it seems. Master of Shipping and Sadism.Northern Invasion
If that wasn't a glaring weakpoint, then what was? Charisse released the arrow she had been charging up, straight for the warhead in the Grimm's chest.
As the arrow sailed through the air, the motes that were spiralling off it before increased in intensity, revealing that the thing was rotating at high speeds. This would do two things: one, it would travel farther (like a well thrown handegg), and two, it would have some increased piercing power.
"Gimme your pants.. and now your other pants""I accept my fate, arright." Ayers pushed back at the Ursa, fighting his way up to a standing position. "But if'n I wuz really weaker'n y'all, we wouldn't have no modern society!" He grunted and leaned forward a little too much, sliding back on his feet. "Modern weapons! Modern prosthetics!" He started pulling more at the Grimm's jaws, trying to rip it apart. "That's hwut strength is! It's using whut those whut came before y'all, to git stronger'n anyone else! Yeah, I'm scared shitless of bein' weaker'n someone, is that whut y'all wanna know?! If'n I ain't strong enough, though, I got a way to git stronger! It ain't a big deal!"
Mia's Birthday
Short for Marianne?
Ai's sight narrowed slightly, though she did well to hide it.
I shouldn't get her hopes up until we know for sure. It could just be a coincidence. And how would she react if her mom really was tied to Arcana?
"I'll start looking as soon as I can. Maybe I can ask Lexi or Alice to help me look up some records," she said. She gave Mia a wry smile. "But...we've kept Glen and Mau waiting long enough, I think."
She stood up, walked around the counter and kissed Mia on the cheek.
"Happy birthday, Mia."
Elsewhere, before the Northern Invasion mission
On the way back to the hallway outside Glynda's office, Ai turned to Charisse.
"Oh, I should wear something warm if we're going up north," she said. Thinking for a moment, she grinned. "I should be able to fit double the bombs in my good jacket! Meet with the others, I'll catch up with you soon."
Hopefully Charisse would get the message to leave Ai alone for a little while. She would need to make a little private phone call. Her smile quickly faded as she rounded the corner, pulled out her Scroll and dialled for Alice.

Kingdom of Vale, Eastern Wall
Unfortunately, plastic arrows didn't tend to like getting smacked too much, and as the Dreamshade batted it aside it would find the arrow shattered on impact. This in mind, the plastic shards were really little more than an annoyance.
Rheia, however, was sharper, and as the lion lunged at her she threw herself to the side to avoid its strike. Constructing a standard sword blade she waited for the Dreamshade's next strike, not having noticed Hope had awoken yet.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."I'm Back (To Glow)
Anima stood back on its feet with a heavy rumble.
Hope Remington was back in a game... and she wasn't in a good mood.
"I'm gonna enjoy this far more than I should." She grumbled before the jet boosters sped forward past Rheia and into the Nightshade, going for a shouldercheck to send it bowling over.
Big GrahMines!
"So, just go around setting up the mines? Easy enough.", Stormer said before starting to speed off towards the Grimm with the disks in hand.
Meet The Tower
A large imposing man in armor with a massive sword on his back was also with Fool and Star. It was none other than The Tower, one of the sub-commanders of the Arcana. He silently looked on at the proceedings, his gaze fixated on the students.

"Sechs, JUMP!" Rufus shouted from inside the dust cloud of his crater. The vorpal blade rocketed out and struck the descending avian in the side, giving Sechs a six-inch wide bridge to fucking book it like the superhuman hunter he was.
