I am pretty sure that is how it is supposed to work.
ETA: The problem is the character pages/ other subpages are still under the old name, they all have to be moved and redirect. The light novel button is supposed to be there.

Also the wicks from indexes need to be changed or the page will not be indexed correctly either.
Oh darn I was hoping I wouldn't have to redirect the subpages. Last time I did that, I don't believe I had to do any of that.
Well, it depends on the type of redirect. If you are redirecting in order to change namespaces then all the subpages remain the same, but if you are changing the actual title of the work you have to do them all.
Hmmm.. Ok, so for those pages, I'd have to do redirect:Characters/TheDevilIsAPartTimer]] on the character page, and all the others with their respective pages?
You will need to copy paste the contents of subpagetype/orginalname into subpagetype/newname and then set up a redirect on subpagetype/originalname that points to subpagetype/newname
Or you could just cutlist the subpages under the Japanese name if they have no wicks pointing at them. I do not think pointing wicks directly at subpages is very common, we may not need the redirects. *shrug*
Ok, I just went through and redirected all the subpages. Everything seems to be in working order, and it was good experience in making redirects.
That just leaves changing the wiks. The old name is still usable though. Hataraku Maousama
Oh yeah, indexing the new subpages as well.

Looks good. Changing the index wicks is the most important, the other wicks are less important as long as they are being redirected.
moved the redirects for you. when you edit a page, https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/LightNovel/TheDevilIsAPartTimer?action=edit in the title bar, if you change the namespace and title to the one you want to edit (in this case I changed it to https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Anime/HatarakuMaousama?action=edit ) you can edit a page for a redirect that has already been made.
The 92 wicks need to be changed manually, you could ask for it to be put on Administrivia.Wick Namespace Migration in the "Edit Requests For Locked Pages" thread, but I don't know whether that is just for moving pages to the right namespace, rather than title alterations.
Some of the wicks will need to be moved to a different page entirely, thanks to having to be moved to "D" (we discount the definite article in lists) from "H".

Keeper of The Celestial FlameI'll get around to changing the wicks over the weekend, unless anyone else cares to hit a few of them in the meantime.
I've also indexed the subpages that need indexing, moving a page from a Japanese title to an English one is a LOT of work, more work than most namespace moves.
Keeper of The Celestial FlameThe only thing missing now is moving the wicks from Hataraku Maousama, yeah? I'll see if I can help tomorrow.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe pagemove work is complete now. Also, when you have subpages with no inbounds, cutlisting is the preferred treatment especially with autoindexing subpages like Trivia/ (since redirects there break the index bar).

No, I'm not talking about a Reality-Breaking Paradox. I was just trying to redirect a light novel series from its Japanese name to English.
The Devil Is A Part Timer.
Here's the URL, which includes the redirect:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/LightNovel/TheDevilIsAPartTimer?from=LightNovel.HatarakuMaousama
And on that page, is a Light Novel button at the top, which takes you to:
https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/LightNovel/TheDevilIsAPartTimer
Uhhh, I'm not sure what to do here, could I get some assistance? I notice the character and other subpages are missing as well. I'm not used to creating redirects.
