Currently, the image for The War of the Worlds is the same one being used in Tripod Terror. Now, while both a work page and a trope page could share the same image, I think it might be better to use one of the many, many book covers created for the book over the years to give us some variety.

Here's a specific one I rather like. Shows the famed tripods razing a city, displays the title and author prominently, and it has a rather aged look to give an idea of how old this work is.

Thoughts?

I like this one (from the OP).

I'm not really crazy about that one, to be honest. For Tripod Terror, the Otyugh from D&D seems like a good candidate: 1, 2.

Also, while we're on the subject of tripods, how's this as a pic for The Tripods?

Not warm with 5.1 or 5.2 due to the distracting tentacles.

For Tripod Terror, how about this cover from the John Christopher novel The White Mountains? (Possibly with the title cropped off..)

Clock is set. I guess the question is, which page do we want to replace the pic on?

The clock's up, and I'm not seeing enough consensus on anything to make a change. Since trope pages and work pages can share a pic, I'm good to leave these as is for now. Locking up.
