It is the same over-the-top tone they used for the short. I hope they hit a perfect mix of film noir and campiness - and yes, I know that those genres are pretty much opposites of each other, but a good mix can be really, really fun.
film noir would also work well because those movies tend to have real downer endings. And we all know how Agent Carter's live work was misused in the end.

Noir is pretty much my pet genre so I'd love that.
Yes, that would be perfect. Especially considering that Chad Michael Murray's character is described as a He-Man Woman Hater in the press releases.

Prayer circle that Peggy and Howard don't make fondue.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I'm pretty sure they're not going to have sex, Mukora.
Isn't Peggy's husband a member of the Howling Commandos? If she has a romantic subplot I'm guessing it will be with him.
Gabe Jones in the comics. And he has a grandson in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D....
Triplett and Sharon Carter are related? I didn't know that.
Seriously? Huh. I never imagined. Think that'll be the case here?
Oh God! Natural light!Who said that Peggy's husband was a Howling commander? She only said that he was a soldier which Steve rescued at one point. And Tripp is most certainly not related to her, at least not judging by the pictures she has at her bed.
Is it just me or is the actor of Howard channelling RDJ's mannerisms?
No one. We were guessing by what the case is in the comics. Which aren't guaranteed to be held to, but they're a good starting point.
We know for a fact it was someone in the group Cap rescued from the Skull. Since the Howling Commandos are the only people of any importance in that group I just made the logical assumption it was a Howling Commando.
I'm sure Cap would point out that everyone is important.
I am not sure if the rescue mission Peggy is talking about is the same in which he rescued Bucky. Never mind that there were more soldiers he rescued in this one than just the ones who later were part of his team.

That's true. I'm just guessing it's a Howling Commando because of Conservation of Detail. We only saw Cap rescue one group of soldiers and only a few of them became important later on. It's likely one of them is her husband but it's not guaranteed.
I think I'd like it if she married some regular Joe who got a job in the bank or something after the war. Probably not much hope of him being a stay-at-home husband and dad, but I like ordinary people. Not everyone should be an action hero.
As long as her relationship to Jarvis and Howard stays a friendship I am happy.
That would be nice, I guess.
Oh God! Natural light! It looks like Whiplash's father, Anton Vanko, will be appearing.
It'd be fun if they connected him to the Crimson Dynamo as well - like that the Dynamo was a project he was working on when Howard first scouted him, or even if that project he was planning on selling for profit using his and Howard's research.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I would enjoy it if an actual Crimson Dynamo suit was used only for it to be defeated when a RL greatest weakness for power suits is taken advantage of... I want the extension cable to be too short.

The optimist in me thinks that promo might be a parody of Forties and Fifties era sexism. You know, "so easy a woman can do it!" and that kind of bullshit.
