FRIGGIN GARDEVOIR THAT SMILE IS SO ADORABLE ;^;
Have you ever seen a Maractus or Lilligant move? Who made you the authority on feet, eh? You think just because you have two legs you get to tell people how fast they can move with none? Pff!
(... more seriously, I actually have no idea WHAT the underside of Lilligant is like. Is that a dress with legs underneath? Is each segment of the dress a separate tentacle-foot?!)
Red Gardevoir reminds me of something but I don't know what.
The concept of love and all that is good in the world?
and I immediately thought jet set radio future after that comment
darn it
For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard Playthrough... explain!
I wonder if we'll be seeing the shiny palettes in this game or if they're going to go ignored.
Noted!
That would be very weird. Except maybe in cases where the difference is barely noticeable?
We do have alt skins at least.
I want Tekken-style customization, too, which doesn't sound out of the question if one of the alts is Pikachu wearing shorts.
... is one of the alts Pikachu wearing shorts?
According to Serebii. No screenshot's been posted yet.
Eh, I'd settle for a Magikarp that may or may not have the ability to evolve into Gyarados.
Geez, White Suicune looks pissed. But I like the red colors for Lucario and Gardy. I hope the other alts are just as striking (and that we get shiny colors for alts).
Shorts Pikachu popped up somewhere on Neogaf. They look comfortable and easy to wear.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.@Fawriel: Oh, you wanna know where I've seen them move, do ye? well it was Pokepark 2, I'll have you know! :P
Here's a clip of Maractus! And here's one of Lilligant!
It also answers your query about Lilli's "legs", it's just a segmented bulb with a four-pointed root structure. Hops everywhere, like Maractus.

Ah the Pokepark games... I did enjoy playing those games and it was nice seeing several Pokemon just wandering around without (much of) a care in the world.

The funnest part of that game was the tag races with mons who can't run, namely Petilil and Foongus. They can barely go anywhere, but you only have a couple of seconds on the timer!
I... lost the first one of these, against the Petilil. Tackled from a standing start and completely missed.

Yes, but those videos also demonstrate that they are fucking adorable and beyond such petty grievances as having no legs!
... In more serious terms, I don't think their handicap is too severe to work around if the team wants to make it work. They could simply be very slow but strong enough in other areas to make up for it, they could still speed up the hopping a little bit, they could give them some quick movement tricks where they quickly slide across the ground in a bit of a utility variation on Petal Dance...
Also:
So do we have a good idea how this is gonna play, yet? Is it actually like normal fighting games, with dozens of complicated combos and stuff, or more simple, with only a few two-button combos?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Controls are closer to Smash's, with two basic attack buttons (weak and strong), a "Pokemon Technique" button, a jump button, a shield button, and an assist button. It definitely has combos, but they probably happen in a different way traditional Tekken or Street Fighter.

For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughI find it hilarious how that biker has a Volcarona following him. That's what competitive players do while hatching eggs.
Personally, I'd prefer if the 'net was a little friendlier, but you know the GIFT...I use Magmar for that. :B
Neither Maractus or Lilligant are fast enough to be anything other than assists. They don't have proper legs, they can't run anywhere ' 3'
